Overall I really like the doorbell. It does take nice videos and lets me know when there is just motion at the front door or a person. That is a two step notification if they walk up to the door and then ring the doorbell. Installation was fairly quick and straight forward and it easily wired into my current doorbell chime as well as the chime. This allows me to hear it both downstairs and upstairs. The one issue I have is that it is not real good at catching all activity in the street out front, but that is a little beyond its normal range and there is a tree with some branches which interfere with it. I actually removed some of the branches and that helped and plan to remove a couple more. I like that the mobile app lets me see the videos and a live feed when I want. The wiring to the existing doorbell also provides charging power to the doorbell battery. I upgraded the memory card in the chimes to 256 GB which provides lots of room for the recorded videos. That is the maximum memory card size they say will work with it.

    Great doorbell camera without subscription!

It has been almost a year and this doorbell camera still works fantastic. I popped in a 128 gb micro SD card so it can store videos. I have not had to delete any videos to date. I charge it once a week; although sometimes it can last until 2 weeks until needing to be charged again. We are thinking about getting other Eufy cameras to add to our system. We had Blink before and the video quality was less and having to pay subscription is a huge turn off.

I purchased two of these 4 years ago and they have worked great. Love that you can set the zone, pick up faces only so vehicles don’t set it off. You don’t need a subscription to use these. I liked these so much that I am replacing both the front and back doors with new ones. Only one problem with using two with the front and back door is that they have a problem when ringing at the front or back door with the chime. I only use one (front door) to ring in the house but the app works great on my phone and notifies me about both the front and back doors. If this would bother you, then don’t get it, otherwise if you are going to only use the app it is fantastic.

This was a perfect solution for us. A wireless doorbell with its own chime that was easy to install and works out of the box with no subscription commitments. Definitely need to watch online videos because there were no useful operating instructions in the box to explain the app or how to configure the camera. Wasn’t fully clear the 16gb storage drive was included in our box. Thought video storage capacity would be too small but cleanup events regularly and it should be plenty. We’ve been happy after our first month of use

Absolutely Perfect – Eufy Doorbell Delivers!

I couldn’t be happier with my Eufy doorbell. From the moment I installed it, everything has worked flawlessly. The setup was incredibly straightforward, and the app guided me through each step with ease. Within minutes, I had crystal-clear video streaming right to my phone. The image quality is outstanding—day or night. The night vision is sharp, and the motion detection is spot-on without being overly sensitive. I love the instant notifications and how quickly I can respond to someone at the door, even when I’m away from home. One of the best features is the local storage option, which means no monthly fees and complete control over my footage. The two-way audio is clear and responsive, making it easy to communicate with delivery drivers or guests. Overall, the Eufy doorbell has exceeded my expectations. It’s reliable, secure, and packed with features that make it a must-have for any smart home. Highly recommend!

It has amazing picture quality and is simple to install but the down side is it’s pretty uneven on stucco so you may have gaps or holes from the back on the sides and there is a lag when it does notice a person or moving object. Also it does not work with HomeKit. Otherwise it’s a great doorbell camera for cheap with no subscription.

I love the idea this company presents, and for me it has worked perfectly for my needs. I have it set up on my apartment door and cant have it hard wired since it has to be renter friendly.. this means that I have to charge it every so often to keep it working, I will say though, the battery lasts a very long time. I also enjoy that I don't have to pay a subscription to keep it running, major A+ for this since not a lot of companies build their products like this anymore. Quality of audio and video are great for what I need as well.

Pros: Price, motion detecting-camera moves and follows, battery life, not required to get a subscription, uses micro SD cards for expandable memory, easy to install Cons: Only 1-alerts me to every single movement, including pets. From what I read, others have this same issue and I haven't found a solution yet. Eufy please fix this. Overall I am happy I chose this brand which is owned by Anker. Originally we had a Ring doorbell cam but it died on me and lasted only 3 yrs. I was constantly changing the batteries and hated doing subscriptions. Right now we still are using other Ring cameras in our home but slowly I'm switching over to Eufy.

So i have to say if you are looking for a doorbell... this is it! -Battery powered or wired ✅ -Comes with a wireless chime so no worries there✅ -Great motion detection, picture quality and field of view -BEST of them all No Subscription. Feels great to spend your money on a good product and not to be forced into paying monthly fees. I have other products from different brands and once you stop paying the subscription they become useless. So once again you only pay once and you get a doorbell as good as it can be for 2021!

    Quality control/Firmware Issues

Disappointing tech. I was looking forward to the 2k video and local storage, to dispense with the $150 a year to Google for Nest storage. These doorbells are glitchy and problematic though, and the setup/app is much clunkier than Nest. The video is far more fisheye as well. The first unit yesterday would work fine with motion or person activations, but refused to play live view video (despite unfettered 1gbps wifi) and would error out. I did all firmware updates for the camera and wifi/chime hub, and went through every online suggestion from others with the same issue. I finally spent about an hour on the phone with tech support doing the hokey pokey and they determined the unit was defective and directed me to return it. I returned it today and got another, and this time the live view works fine but the doorbell audio playback (your voice broadcast to the person at the door) is extremely quiet nearly to the point of being inaudible. All volume sliders are maxed out, and again, all firmware is updated. Checking online, there are a host of reports of this issue from other users as well with no resolution listed on any of the reports. 2 units and 2 tech issues in 2 days. This is more than just bad luck, Anker/Eufy clearly have some quality control issues with their firmware/hardware that need to be resolved.

Almost 5 stars. The battery life in between charges is about 3-4weeks for me, and no where close to the life that is adveritsed. Picture/video quality, motion sensore, chime volume, and local storage capacity are all great. Set up and daily use of the app are also great. I used this doorbell as a sample to see if I’d like to invest in the Eufy ecosystem and this doorbell convinced me to invest.

Great product, easy set up, no fees, just need WiFi and you are ready to use it. I am using it to monitor a property in a different country without any issues. Battery lasts for 4-6 months depending on how many events is recording. I added the smart lock to this product from Eufy and can not only recognize who is at the door but also remotely unlock the door.

I've had this product for a couple of years now and it still works without issues. Gives good enough quality video. Charge lasts up to 2 months. I don't pay for any storage or additional services. It has storage via the app and automatically records over itself when full. I don't need to record every little thing, so that's sufficient for me.
