Making a quart or two at a time has worked well for us. I am so glad we did not choose the 6 small jars as it would of been constant clean-up. I pour in the milk -plug in-go to sleep-in the morning -I either put in a bag of frozen fruit from the Dollar Tree and blend or just cool down in fridge. Iserve the yogurt in( the 4 for $1 glass pyrex 1/2c from Dollar tree) for breakfast..We watch local store mark down on milk at end of date and buy it up -freezing some-really keep expenses down

first time it was too bit thin but I only cultured the milk for 6hrs. So I tried 8 hrs. my second time and it was still a bit thin. I measured the temperature after both times (at the end)and it was a couple degrees below 110º... maybe that's the problem. I've made my own before now with a slow cooker and it cooked and firmed up better and I had faster results using a little higher temperature and after 6 hrs. but sometimes it came out a little lumpy but that was corrected by stirring it. Will try my third time with a 10 hr. culture period... we'll see.

I wanted a side by side refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser on the outside. I had been looking at refrigerators but did not need one with alot of extras and I wanted one that was economical and dependable. I trust Best Buy and when I saw the price on this refrigerator I was surprised and pleased at the same time. I read all the reviews and decided to order it sight unseen. I am extremely pleased. It has lots of room inside and I love the way it looks outside. Contrary to some of the reviews it is very quiet and yes the ice maker makes noise when it drops the ice, but I have never had one that didn't. This refrigerator has more than exceeded my expectations. Since it is a Frigidaire I expect it to be very reliable, if not I will let you know. I have not even had it for a month now.

I've had two of these Euro-Cuisine Yogurt Maker model YM260 because the first one stopped working before the 3 yr. warranty, I was sent a new base, then after less than 3 months it stopped heating properly. I'm going to make my yogurt using a cooler with heated water... it doesn't use electricity to make the yogurt and it will NOT stop working! Buyer BEWARE!
