    A Diamond in the rough

Ever Oasis is an exploratory action RPG overflowing with charm. The bright and cheery visuals stand in contrast to a somewhat dire narrative where you, along with the help of a water spirit named Esna, work to create the last Oasis, a safe place and a beacon of hope for the residents of the desert who have nowhere else to go. The combat is fun and engaging, if a bit simple, with plenty of room to customize with new weapon types and the abilities associated with them. The building of the oasis is so satisfying as well, lining up the shops and decorations to encourage the most sales and keep your residents happy. I've had a blast with this game and would highly recommend it if you're looking for a cute action RPG with management elements.

Great first entry into a (hopefully) new series

As a recommendation: try the demo. If you like it, you will love the main game. There's a LOT to do and absolutely everything rewards the player in some way and offers options to develop your main character and oasis. The game manages to take seemingly mundane tasks and add enough variety to them to keep them from feeling that way. Not a lot of replay value, but the first playthrough is pretty exceptional.

Legend of Zelda meets Animal Crossing

Pretty much what my summary review says. The action is a bit simplistic, but you can strategize as much as you want to, so it's not a fault. I think a desert setting works really well, and it's a nice change of scenery for me. It's not all desert since you can spend time in your oasis (grassland) which is definitely a plus (I'm looking at you Borderlands).

A mix of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Dark Cloud 2

Grezzo spent years working on the 3DS Zelda games before moving on to their own project. This game has village building like Animal Crossing, combat similar to Zelda, and RPG elements ala Dark Cloud 2. My only complaint so far is that the plot is overly simplistic, and the dialogue seems to hit you over the head with obvious things. If you don't like handholding avoid this game. Otherwise it's pretty good so far.

Secret of Mana meets Animal Crossing

Grezzo has made some fantastic games over the last few years and it's great to see a an original IP from them. With Koichi Ishii at the helm, I was definitely intrigued and ultimately not disappointed. While I'm not a huge fan of the chibi art style and some of the games tasks can be tedious, I've definitely enjoyed my time with the game and I'm hoping to see more unique games from Grezzo in the future!

Full of Adventure, Wild Creatures, and Rewards!

This plays like Animal Crossing where you build your town and gain residence. Each character has a skill and most have wish list of things for you to search out or do. As a fan of Mario and Yoshi games, I tried the demo first and was hooked! This Grandma loves her 3DS games and Ever Oasis is being played daily ....for hours!

Aimed a little more at younger audiences, or at least it feels that way. Still a fun game in a similar realm to Zelda.

It's hard to credit devs for remaking games. It can't be that hard, right? Well this isn't a remake. The makers of Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, and Four Swords Anniversary Edition have made an original game and it's good. It would be nice if it had multiplayer. It feels like an omission.

This game made by Grezzo, the ones behind the Zelda remakes on 3DS, is a nice RPG adventure with some interesting mechanics, a nice game to have if you're a RPG fan.

If you like Zelda, Monster hunter and Animal crossing is pretty much all in one game. On 40 hours and still playing.

    Stellar action RPG

Brought to you by Koichi Ishii, developer responsible for the Mana series, Ever Oasis is a half action-RPG/half life simulator that can seriously hook you if you love games where you constantly level up. Though not quite innovative, it does provide a fresh experience to this year's 3DS library.

Battling is sort of like Kingdom Hearts where you have AI helping you fight. Keep your oasis happy by stocking shops. A few design choices might annoy you, like having to go back to town to get your experience points.

    Town Management RPG

While I'm not a huge fan of the character design, I am really liking his game. My only complaint is the need to change out party members constantly to access new areas. It's like Zelda but you can only hold a few tools and have to warp back to town to swap for a tool you need for 5 seconds.

A refreshingly unique RPG for the 3DS. I thought it might be too kiddie but it’s actually intricate and unique with a lot of different elements to it

First time playing a monster Hunter game. More rpg than standard Hunter game, this has me wanting to give one of the main series a shot. I can't put it down, 20 hours in, well worth it.
