So far has been working great for my latest build. Didn’t need anything with super powers so this has been perfect. Like most I have been stuck at home during the covid 19 lockdown. Looking for something to do I decided to see what I could put together for a decent price that I could dedicate for working on my 3D printing and modeling design projects in Fusion360 . I chose the i5 processor and MSI motherboard as I felt it would meet the demands of the tools required for this work. So far I am very pleased that it has lived up to the tasks intended. I assembled it on a simple vertical open framework and gives it a very Maker like appeal as well.

I wanted to install a graphics card in my old desktop and I needed a simple power supply that could supply the wattage necessary to make it happen. This installed directly into my HP Envy Desktop in place of the stock power supply and everything plugged in directly and worked flawlessly.

Power is what you will get from this power supply! I have one of top of the line Geforce video cards and needed to replace my 200w that came with the pc. This does the job. In all it just took me under 15 minutes to install and ready to use. Awesome!

    Affordable, Quiet, and Durable

    Pros mentioned:
    Cables, Price, Quiet operation

I recently upgraded my video card and was in the market for a more capable power supply, so I bought this EVGA 600W unit. There was no question in my mind that I was sticking to the EVGA line of power supplies because of my personal experiences with the EVGA 500W. Since August 2014, the 500W has performed admirably, and it continues to perform, to this very day. I've had this EVGA 600W for over a month and I can honestly say that this power supply is a no frills, solid performer. It's quiet, unobtrusive, and will easily power most systems. The sleeved cabling is nice, and the leads are long enough for good cable management. If you're a budget conscious enthusiast then this power supply will definitely fit the bill. From my experiences, I would say the power supply is the most critical component of your system. If you decide to go with a low quality unit, you put all of your other precious parts in jeopardy. With that said, I wouldn't hesitate to use, or recommend this power supply to anyone. My PC's Specs Mobo - Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P CPU - AMD FX6300 CPU Video - AMD 6970 2GB Ram - Gskill Ripsaw (2x4GB, 2x2GB) HD - 250GB SSD - Corsair Nuetron 120GB

600W is probably more than you need, even though it seems like the low end of wattages. This is good however, as the "butter zone" for power suplies -where they are most efficient- is usually around high mid of total. This one is basic 80 plus rated, which means that it will convert your wall outlet AC power to computer-usable DC power at 80% efficiency or higher at loads of 20%, 50%, and 100%. Bronze and up increase that efficiency, all the way to titanium so far, which at the time of writing has efficiency standards of: 10% load-90% efficiency 20% load-92% efficiency 50% load-94% efficiency 100% load-90% efficiency Why do you care? the lower efficiency your power supply, the higher your power bill, as more power is drawn from the wall to meet the same demand AND What happens to the waste power that is not converted? It becomes waste heat, which drags down every component of a build. SSD run slower, the PSU is less efficient, your CPU and GPU won't boost as high, or maintain it as long (particularly noticeable with NVIDIA GPUs, where it is always beneficial for them to be cooler, all the way down to subzero temps). So the Verdict? EVGA is a very reputable brand, and if you are building a PC that isn't going to be running 24/7 or only sees moderate gaming or editing work, this might just be the ticket for you, as the price is a big selling point. It checks the major two boxes for PSU purchasing: 80+ rated and from a reputable manufacturer. If the computer that this would go into is a gaming beast, or frequently/heavily used, I recommend going with a Gold rated or higher, as it will pay the difference off within a year or two of power savings usually, and overall system performance will benefit slightly. PS: It's non modular also, which can be a bit of a pain.

Picked up this power supply after upgrading my video card. Good supply for the money. Cable length allowed for clean routing of wires. Fan is quiet too. The fan is located on the bottom where as the original was on the back, not a big deal. Might even help to pull heat away from the processor.

This is not the flashiest PSU you can buy. It doesn't have modular cables, RGB lighting, or any fluff. It's not the cheapest one either. It's simple and it works. That being said, this is the only low cost PSU I would put in any build that I care about. You can buy a $20 apevia PSU on Amazon if you don't care about your PC, but these EVGA units won't let you down. They supply adequate wattage for a very powerful system, and they do it reliably. Do yourself a favor and don't buy the cheapest PSU on Amazon. Buy one of these instead.

All PSU's are hard to get right now because of the pandemic. This is a nice PSU i got for an upgrade to my former desktop/now HTPC. It has a large, silent 120mm fan. The voltages are great, and steady as a rock. The rating on the 12V is strong enough for my HTPC tower which has two BluRay drives, and three hard drives, and a Radeon 570 graphics card. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. It's very solidly built with Japanese capacitors as well. It would be nice if it was semi-modular, but at this price point you just don't get that.

I don’t need 600w with my build because I’m only using a Ryzen 3 and no gpu. However, the value for the wattage is great, plus EVGA is a trusted brand. My only two gripes are that it doesn’t have any modular options, and the cables aren’t black, they’re ketchup and mustard. I’ll eventually buy sleeved cable extensions to solve that.

At it's current price, what other power supply could you get that would check all the required boxes to power a PC. With most new graphics cards only having either a six or eight pin power connector and modern CPUs and motherboards using less power then ever, the EVGA 600W will power the overwhelming majority of PCs without any problems. EVGAs warranty goes a long way toward helping in the buying decision. I'm very pleased with the this purchase and I think you will be to.

This was readily available for pickup 30 minutes after I ordered it from my local store to replace the power supply in my existing machine that had essentially died. It fit perfectly in my setup and is working great. So much better than the old one had been for a LONG time (signs I didn't know I was seeing that should have told me it was dying before it got to the point that I couldn't turn my machine on). Pleasantly quiet.

This is my first time building a PC, so I was hoping that nothing would go wrong with this since it isn't 80+ Bronze or above. After getting it, the packaging, instructions, and layout were all very easy to use. It was perfect for putting into my Micro ATX case, and I'm happy to report that it runs very smoothly and with no loud noise (at least the way I see it). This is a perfect starter power supply for those on a budget.

In a past life, I always ordered my DIY PC components from TigerDirect... Never again - after ordering from Best Buy. I was looking for a minimum of 500 watts, 80+, with qty 2 - 8 pin PCIe connections. This PSU was in-stock, exceeded my minimum standards, and was within the price range I was willing to pay; I ordered it. It was delivered to my door step within 5 business days. Well done Best Buy! Thank You!

This is very easy to install. All the cables are super long to accommodate those large gaming towers. If you don't need them that long consider adding a few zips or straps to keep them in place. It actually had dual power leads for processors which I didn't expect. I didn't need it this time but good to know for another system. The case is nice looking and fit perfectly.
