Customers are saying

Customers find value in the NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 SC's performance, especially considering its price point, and its ease of installation. Many appreciate its ability to improve graphics and resolution capabilities, particularly for gaming and higher-resolution monitors. However, some customers noted that the price may be high for the capabilities offered and that the heat sink is large. Overall, the card is seen as a good option for users seeking an upgrade from integrated graphics, but buyers should consider their budget and available space.

    5 for quiet home theater 4k @ 60fps

I have a home theater PC. I needed something that could handle 4k @60fps, over HDMI. This card does it. I have an older i5, which doesn't decode the h.265 codec @ 4K. This card (along with classic media player) does the trick. I went into the store to purchase a GTX1050ti. This was recommended, since gaming is not my goal. Since this card is fanless, my HTPC is very quiet. I had been running Radeon cards in my HTPC, and there was always something glitchy or slow. This card, even though it's not top of the line, reminded me why I should stick to nVidia. I was worried about only 2GB of RAM, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. I was having some issues with white flashes in the Windows 10 Netflix app @4k. A recent driver update seems to have fixed the issue. That is why I waited to submit this review.

Good performing video card for my HTPC, it was pricey for what it is, however all video cards seem to be that way these days. Worth buying if you need a video card and don't do any serious gaming.

We needed to upgrade our Home Theater PC, because our old card couldn't output 4K @ 60fps. In addition, we have an older i5, which cannot decode HVEC x265. This card, along with Windows Media Player Classic, breathed new life into the PC. The card is SILENT, because it doesn't require a fan. It doesn't pull a lot of power, so it's perfect for this application. We watch 4k Netflix (Windows store app), without any issues. It decodes the x265 video, shot on an iPhone8. I even played a little Doom, just to test it out. It was playable, although I wouldn't buy it to play games with.

MIght not be gaming material, but this is a very nice, reasonably powerful card for not much money. It can drive multiple monitors effortlessly, and it doesn't draw much power at all. Low profile if you need it (brackets included). Easy install and setup. Do keep in mind that the heat sink will cover the slot next to it.

This is an excellent graphics card but they need to do a better job in the description to indicate it takes up two ports. Plugs into one but is so wide it covers the one to it's right when you're facing the back of the PC. So, be sure you have two ports available

Easy to install, no power connections needed. I have bought several of these for upgrading both current, new purchase, i3 and i7 desktops, as well as some older home built machines, when the onboard graphics chips were no longer making the grade. One nitpick, the major league heat sink makes a fan unnecessary, but it takes up a lot of space, and probably means another card will not fit adjacent to it.

It's currently driving my Sony XBR700D at 3840x2160 30FPS and looks great. No HDR on this TV so that's a problem, need to upgrade. Point is this is a solid graphics card for $100 and beats the onboard graphics chip that came with this motherboard by a mile.

Got this to replace an old AMD card on my PC. Wanted an Nvidia card for the cuda cores for one of my video editing program. Easy installation. Windows 10 recognized the card and installed the needed drivers. No complaints or issues so far.

This card is great if you're not using it for the latest high end graphics games. It's capable of putting out higher resolutions than typical integrated GPUs and did help speed up processing images in Adobe Lightroom. If you're looking for a good gaming card at a bargain look elsewhere. Spend a little more money and get at least a 4GB GPU (1050Ti or higher). This card is already not meeting required specs for some newer games. With a decent i5 and 16GB RAM and this 1030 GPU I am only getting 35FPS playing Player Unknown Battlegrounds in medium quality. Not great at all, but playable.

This worked great to upgrade my office computers for some lite graphic design. I particularly like that it does not use a fan, lower energy consumption and noise. I recently replaced all of the hard drives with solid state drives and this ensure the noise stays low.

I am using this GPU in my HP slimline. I never thought I would find a GPU that could fit in my slim computer without having to modify it in some way. However, this thing works, I mean it really works. its not 4k level but I runs PUBG like a dream now. I would absolutely recommend it to people who are looking to upgrade without making tons of changes. As long as you have a PCIE port you can use this thing, and its awesome.

I picked this card up for my older Dell Inspiron desktop and it's worked perfectly for my needs. Plays World of Warcraft with max settings with no issues and other Steam games so far. Only drawback are the frequent Nvidia driver installations so far, about 3 in the first month. But they've not bogged things down at all. I'd highly recommend this card as an affordable option for the not-so-serious gamer.

We purchased this video card because our previous video card seemed to crash and be unreliable. For a little extra money than the cheapest ones this one does the trick. We're happy with the quality and it seems to run most of the video games that we like to play. The reason I give it five stars is because it's dependable and it does a good job for the games we like.

I purchased this graphics card for an older Dell desktop that could not drive a 4K monitor. This card is great for that purpose. I'm not a PC gamer so cannot speak to performance for those scenarios. The card is fan-less which is a preference of mine to keep noise to a minimum.

This card works great for entry level gaming. Don't expect this will play the newest games at ultra settings, but it can play them at low to medium settings, and it plays older games like Skyrim at high settings.

My kitchen design software does the 3D renderings a lot faster with a separate graphics card in the computer, and when the old ones fan started making noise I figured it was time for a new one. This Invidia one makes the renderings come up lots faster than the old one which was about 5 years old. Very satisfied for the price!
