Roku Made an Old TV New Again

I have a seven year old Samsung smart TV that I didn't want to replace, but was having trouble using apps that weren't pre-loaded. Thus fixed that, quick and easy.

Excellent unit, easy setup

It has more capability than I can use right now, but I'm hoping when I get access to Star Link I will get to use more of it's features. If you're interested in cutting the cable this unit would be very helpful in doing that. I might buy another unit in the future.

Great for Streaming

We've been happy with our purchase and the ability to download multiple Apps to the device. If you're on the fence about streaming, this is the deivce to get.

Loving the Roku Experience

Wanted something other than Chromecast for the bedroom television. After researching the options, Roku was the winner. Easy to install and a lot of choices from channels to apps. Loving it!

This allows you to turn any non-smart tv with an HDMI into a streaming unit. I have bought many of them and can’t imagine life without them now!

And wrestlemania was coming on that night, got quickly and at a great price, You saved day!

Only drawback found is its ability to play local media over DLNA. It works, but the client interface (via Roku channel) is extremely limited (with miniDLNA and gerbera). Plex channel may give better results if you are willing to run a Plex server for local media.

Powerful little device

Keep it well ventilated. My TV is 4K and has HDR, The device detected both automatically. The remote has dedicated buttons that arent very useful to me. Of the four I only have Netflix. I will never have Disney+
