I currently own a HomePod and have had the Google Home Hub and a variety of Alexa devices. At first I was unsure about this. But the quality of the video chat is unmatched. I really hope this catches on. As far as the Smart features go its mediocre. However, what I haven’t read anywhere is the usability of the web browser. It’s browser allows you to stream from USTVNow, ABC, NBC, and other channel based streaming sites. Netflix doesn’t work but it’s the only hub that allows my wife to scroll though Pinterest finding recipes. Sure an iPad does similar things but the fact that it is always charged and standing is a big plus. Looking forward to future updates and hoping more members of my family pick them up.

Easy to operate. Hands free. Just needs Netflix and it would be complete. Such a great device I brought five for Christmas. 1 for all my family members

I have children and grandchildren living pretty far away. This is a great way to connect and communicate with them without the need to use a small smartphone. I did notice that there was a bit of feedback/ringing where the remote device was picking up my voice and sending it back, but I'm not sure if that was a result of the device or the acoustics/environment in which we were using it. It does take a little getting used to so that you're not trying to talk over each other. It doesn't appear to be "duplex" communication, meaning when one party is talking, it has complete control of the channel. By no means a dealbreaker, just need to get used to it and give each party and opportunity to respond.

Quick set up! Easy to use! We bought 4 of as Christmas presents this year and they are amazing! My grand parents ( both in their 80’s) use it daily!!

Gave this for mothers day and It was a hit. Mother loved it so much, easy to set up, use and has lots of potential. The face to face is great.

My wife and I bought this for my dad since we live a long distance away. We've used it several times and it works very well. Video quality is great, build quality is just as good, and the speakers and mic work very well. This solved a problem I've been looking to solve for a while and I love it. Alexa Support is exactly what you would expect. The Mic picks us up very well and perhaps is a little too sensitive picking up similar phrases as "Alexa" making it trigger a little too often. But that's super minor and Alex can be turned off if you want.

It works pretty well for video calls, but it doesn't have much for apps on it. I sure hope they update it and make it smarter. So far I use it more to turn lights off and on and tell me the weather.

The Facebook portal has been great. It’s easy to use. It’s a great way to stay in touch with friends and family. The screen is nice and big.

I gave one to each of my kids who live in other states. It is a great way to visit and see my grandkids. I also enjoy the Alexa functions for listening to news, music and books.

I have to say I was skeptical at first, but I love it. The video and sound is great. Better than expected all around!

We are gradually joining the interactive tech home life and the Portal enhances some of the same Alexa features we are accustomed with the occasional opportunity to reach out & surprise family who will answer SMS with a video call. It works nicely to visit with our daughter's family who lives far from us. She has a Portal that we gave them for Christmas. Hands free with ability to move around is great but not everyone is ready for a random video call. So, we are still figuring out how to get the best use of it.

I got two of these, as i am working away from home. My husband is older and not computer savvy. He doesn't Facebook at all. I set up the two portals with different accounts only to be used for the portal, and it is working out great. With the built in Alexa, he now has access to ask all kinda questions and listen to music as well. He loves it. I only gave it 4 stars, because it has an internet browsing capability, but when i tried to watch my netflix, i got no play. I could look up my account, choose a movie, but no play. That disappointed me a bit, why have the browsing if you cant really utilize it. Otherwise I love the portal.

Don’t care Facebook made it. Don’t care about privacy concerns. Don’t care about social media. This is a great way to video call my mom and grandma. They get this and they don’t get most technology. Video quality is great and the automatic keeping everyone on screen very well done. They don’t want home automation or other nonsense they just want to call me and talk to their grand daughter. This is the best option for video calling.

We bought six of these for family members who live in Tennessee and Massachusetts (we live in Texas) and we all love them!! It’s just like being there with each other! The kids love it, they’re easy to use for our older, less tech-savvy relatives, and it’s brought us all closer together. Everyone should have one! They perform just as advertised, picture quality is amazing, no glitchy connection and the camera follows you around the room. We love the Portal!!!!

I bought this for my two young grandsons. They love being able to call me whenever they want to see me. They love the features that change their appearance and fight over who gets to touch or change the images. I am able to talk and see them everyday, and when they decide to do something else, I get the chance to talk to my daughter for an hour or so, until one of us needs to get something else done. I absolutely love having this technology available so we can keep in touch.

It is as easy to use as shown on the TV ads. Clear audio and the image is great!
