I bought one of these late last year and couldn’t get it to work. I tried again back in June. I purchased it to see if it would make video chatting with an elderly family member(s) easier. It has been great. Picture quality has been excellent, even with DSL. No more problems with family member forgetting how to access the app on the computer or turn down the volume or answer a call. It has improved the experience of weekly video chatting tremendously.

Purchased this for my mom to see the grand kids. It is easy for her to use and great to video chat/displaying pics.

The whole family is able to video chat with our grandparents. They are not slightly technologically enclined. Yet are able to answer our requests to chat. With fast wifi on both ends the picture is very clear and the sound is amazing. I love how it follows you around automatically. I can move around and it auto focuses. It makes you feel like the person on the portal is in the room. Alexa enabled! I would recommend this for anyone! Really cool and fun!

WOW!!! huge screen to see who you are talking too. So easy to set up and make calls...love it so far.

The advertisement on TV about this video technology making it appear like there are no barriers, between the people communicating is spot on! It allowed me to communicate with my sister who suffered a stroke at a tremendously advanced level... For example my sister was able to watch me move around the kitchen... Or to talk poolside allowing her to view nearby bird life. Surprised as most I speak to do not know about this innovative technology!!!

Works well and was very easy to set up. I love that the camera follows you without having to be adjusted.

Our daughter is having her first baby and lives 1000 miles away. This portal is so amazing the picture is just like they are in the room with you. The camera on the portal is exceptional and moves around the room and zooms in and out. It displays your Facebook photos and your favorite friends Facebook photos better than a digital frame. It is Alexa equipped and has many cool apps like storytime to use with your grandchildren♥️

I purchase three Facebook Portals from Best Buy during the promotion. One for my wife and I, one for our oldest daughter/ family and one for my youngest daughter. We where having issue with face time on our phones, so I tried this and it is awesome. We can see our grandson without my daughter having to hold her phone. No problems at all, there are more features but just to see how clear the Portal is unreal. It is like they are with you.

Great camera awesome screen loud speakers easy to set up. Had to return I pudgy the wrong product.

The Portal is a great way to communicate with family. It has great pix and it so simple to use.

Amazing smart device works great for video calls and has Alexa built in which works flawlessly.

Quality is average. Function is okay. You can buy if you frequently use Messenger.

Bought this for my wife and inlaws to keep in touch since we live in multiple states. Everyone loves it! Great video! I especially like the way the camera zooms in on the whoever is speaking. The field of view is exceptional on this so be mindful of your surroundings. I bought 5 in total and would like to hand out more. Definitely a must have if you want to keep in contact with family and friends that live in other areas.

I purchased several of these Facebook Portals for graduation gifts for my granddaughter and her friends. They were so excited and are now able to stay in touch in a whole new way besides just texting or talking. They have all moved away from home to different colleges so this is the perfect gift for them!!

Bought this to talk to family I'm Brazil and it has been incredible. I can see and play video games with my little brother and it feels like he's right there with me. Also kids looove the different filter effects , they have so much fun especially when new themes are released for different holidays. This is a must have during quarantine

Bought this to use with a traveling family member. The Portal is great for seeing and talking to the person as well as seeing their surroundings. Can easily take a virtual tour with them. Sound and screen is exceptional. Only drawback is you must use Instant Messenger, but this is easily doable. Would recommend the Portal for anyone looking to keep in touch with family or friends in a different way.

This is a great product if you enjoy video chatting! Love the Alexa feature as well!

Bought 1 for us and 1 for our grandsons who live a thousand miles away. It’s like being in the same room with them. Great picture, easy to use, can follow then all around while they play!!! I would recommend for anyone who has away family!! Kids loved it too!! They sat in their living room, we sat in ours and it was just like we were there!!! One of beet purchases I’ve ever made!!

It's pretty much the same thing as the Portal +, just smaller. If you are looking for the future of the house phone & don't want to pay the Portal + price pick up the Portal. Works w/ Alexa not Google Assistant but you really don't need a personal assistant, Surprise! Portal & Portal + comes loaded w/ voice assistant called Portal but in the options you can change the name to whatever you want!
