We asked a sales associate to tell us about the portal. He did an awesome job. I wish I had know because I ended up buying 2 separately. I have been looking for them to be on sale so I can buy another one.My 83 year old dad can call me from florid with only a couple words.

I think this is a great device and concept. I love that the camera will follow you. Great if you have a busy life style and can't sit down long enough to video chat and it's hands-free. It would be nice if they team up with more partners and could do a little more on it.

We love having Portal to see our grandsons daily. We can read books, create effects(great funny faces), and stickers. Our older grandson, who is three, calls us whenever he wants it’s that easy!!! Love being able to chat with him but not have to tie up my phone.

My mother in law loves this product. She does not have a smart phone, does have a kindle. It is easy for her to video call those on her face book account, but when we call her via facebook, the app defaults to her kindle and does not go to the Portal. We have to call her and have her call us. Other than that it is easy for her to use.

Great picture quality. Crystal clear picture. Its like your in the same room. Very easy to use. My boyfriend bought one for his mom,sister and brother for Christmas now evryone portal's instead of calling on the phone.great for elderly and special needs population.

Great video calls, but this device is really a one trick pony at this point. Really hope that Facebook develops it further, and makes it more useful. It does have Alexa, but cannot use Alexa video skills, which defeats the purpose of having a screen. So you can get audio responses from Alexa, but not any video or other visual responses. Just a black screen. Also, the Portal has a number of apps of its own, such as Spotify and YouTube, but they are not voice activated, which defeats the purpose of having this device. But video calls work very well and camera AI works great. If you want a video calling device and don’t care about having any other features, go for the Portal. But if you want more features, look elsewhere.

Totally amazed! I didn’t know what to expect but Portal is beyond my expectations. Easy to setup. Great picture. My daughter lives in Texas and this is a great way to talk to her every day. I have recommended it to friends and they have brought one.

We purchased 5 for gifts and love, love them! So fun to call family and be able to be hands free, walking and talking. Seeing everyone at the same time is a bonus. We've even had 4 of the 5 on at the same time which is amazing! Something everyone should have!

This device is such a great way to stay connected with friends and family. The picture and sound is clear. The additional features provide great laughs. It is very easy to set up. In the short time I have it, I've not regretted making this purchase.

Purchased for my dad. He had to have his voice box removed and could no longer speak. This allowed the family to communicate with him. He did not have a smart phone and did not text so this was a wonderful to keep in touch with him.

I was looking for a gift to WOW my wife, seems she has everything. This did it. We can now feel closer to our kids and grand child with this Portal from facebook. Great idea Facebook, maybe add some apps like Netflix to make it a great tv for kitchen area.

Bought Portal to talk to family & friends that live out of state. Great device to talk to their little ones too. Also, able to listen to free Pandora music and use Alexa too. We recommend this to anyone who needs to see loved ones more often

Daughter moved to west coast and we were visiting via skype. The facebook portal is a great upgrade. Great clarity, wide field of vision and excellent sound quality. Built in Alexa makes it a great source of information. Couldn"t be more pleased.

Bought this for my daughter-in-law to talk with her family in the Philippines and for them to watch their grandchildren play. It has been amazing!! We love it enough that we chat with our grandsons on it and we only live a mile away. Highly recommend.

Portal works as a glorified video-calling device. You don’t really need it if you have a decent smart phone but it is nice to have and experience. It probably works better as a gift to somebody that you want to video chat that is not currently connected. Quality of video is good but dependent on your wifi strength.

Bought for mother and sister. Sister moved 2 states away, and my mom and sister are best friends who facetime everyday. Was tired of seeing them using their lackluster phones. The portal is amazing. Best christmas gift i bought this xmas season.

I didn’t think we needed another contraption to converse with family given that there is FaceTime and such. But this is pretty cool. It gives additional ways to interact. I highly recommend especially if you can get it on sale for $99.

I bought this for my Mom for Mother's Day because she lives out of State. We hooked it up and were able to start talking within 30 minutes. Very easy to use and it comes with extra features like Pandora so she can listen to music.

Hands down the top video calling device out today. Only issue right now is software. It needs Google Assistant and then that will dramatically improve the devices capabilities because it will also come with Google software like Youtube App.

I have purchased several of the Portals to send to family and co-workers for easy video conferencing. Its very easy to use and saves time and travel to other offices, and allows me to stay in close touch with family who cannot travel.
