    Fallout 4 is worth it

I've always enjoyed Bethesda games and when Fallout 3 and then later Skyrim came out I was amazed at how much was in it and how amazing it looked. Fallout 4 looks so much better than both of these games. The game play and difficulty of Fallout 4 compared to 3 is intensified drastically but only for the better. You can shoot the limbs off the oncoming attackers and they still will come at you. Then the shear amount of gun and building customization is amazing. I haven't had the chance to try out the armor yet but I am guessing it will be just as good. If you have any doubts about this game then know it is worth it. So go out and get yourself a copy and enjoy.

This is a review to negate my early review (of about 10 hours play) rated at 6. This game gets its hooks in you. As pro site reviewer said, "the details make it." That sentiment is right. The deja vu is strong in the first 10-20 hours, and it doesn't hold your hand–and that's when you realize that's what makes this game shine. The homesteader aspect of defending whatever garage/outpost; treating the power armor as a "vehicle"–these are the little touches that makes me wish I had played this game with fresh eyes. But Fallout 3 colored my first dozen or so hours. Fans won't be disappointed; it just make take some time before you realize it.

1st to start out, the game is fairly different compared to past Fallout games. but it's still an entertaining game. Had tons of fun with the combat and character design, the story is meh but the world makes up for it, and for once all items in the game have some use. That last part about items is probably the games best and worst feature, at some point you'll have to sift through hundreds of items which may or may not be to your liking. If you can get through that, you have a wonderful time ahead of you. Now I'm gonna end this review cause I want to play more of the game. P.S. Game is kind of glitchy, save often to load up the game in case of a glitch.

I can't say this is a bad game, all I can say is, it's not for me. I don't typically play these types of games, but with all the hype surrounding it, I wanted to give it a shot. I will say, I wasn't a fan of the shooting mechanics. The checkpoints are sparse (I cleared out a giant area only to be killed on my way out by a hidden turret, and sent back to before I entered the area), and having to re-do the same long section over and over again just isn't my idea of fun. I understand some people love the challenge, but that's not the kind of game I'm looking for right now. If you need an rpg fix, but are kind of an rpg noob, I'd recommend The Witcher 3.

Go buy it. Reported glitches aside, this game is amazing, and I've not encountered any of those so far. Graphics are only slightly improved from 3/New Vegas. Sound is unexpectedly good, I find myself with the radio off much more in this entry than the past. The coolest new thing is the weather system. I've walked around in downpours, fog, and dust storms so dense I could only see a few feet in front of the character; it really helps make the world feel alive. Everything else is as expected, masterful story telling from Bethesda with a myriad off branches and side paths to keep you occupied for the foreseeable future. Everyone should own this game.

In short I for one LOVE this game! I have not yet run into an invisible wall worth mentioning as the story line keeps you on track but there are a multitude of side missions and rewards for occasionally wandering off from the main story. The ability to fully break down and customize weapons and scrap materials found in the wasteland is in itself worth purchasing the game alone but it is so much more and in depth! This will keep you interested and invested in your desire to explore and accomplish all missions as well as finding other Easter eggs and surprises that are riddled throughout the world. Must have for any RPG, Open World game player!

After the reveal at E3 this year I was absolutely surprised about the sudden release date this year. After several years of waiting I finally got my hands on the game and let me say that it didn't let me down. They introduced many new mechanics that kept this new installment fresh while also keeping some old features while tweaking them a bit. The open world is very engrossing, much like the Capital and Mojave Wasteland, and the characters introduced in this game are so unforgettable. Of course the only hindrance were the bugs but it was bound to happen for a game this size. A very enjoyable experience and highly recommend this to anyone.

As someone that has played the previous Fallouts I was happy with Fallout 4. I brought me back to playing Fallout 3 (one of my favorite games of all time). It was like running into an old friend and sitting down to catch up. Many things stayed the same but some small things had changed. The combat system is better albeit not by much but the biggest difference is in the toned DOWN dialog. I feel like I am always being pushed into a fight when in Fallout 3 you had options to lie and cheat your way out of almost anything. I really enjoy Fallout 4 and i highly recommend it to anyone, but I thing Bethesda could have made it even MORE awesome.

Pretty good solid FPS game with RPG stats and mechanics, ok cinematic story, and great world to explore. If you wanted Fallout as an action game, with more straight forward dialogue and though that RAGE didn't scratch that itch then this is perfect for you. If you love the original Fallout 1 and 2 then you bailed a long time ago, and if you loved Fallout 3 and Vegas then proceed with caution. Prepare to feel what the original fans felt when 3 and Vegas came out. Still a fun action adventure game in FPS mode. Get it. Cheers

Let's just begin by saying that I was a huge Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas Fan. So much that I got all the achievements while playing them on my Xbox 360. This next generation, I play most of my games on my Playstation 4.. I really love Fallout 4, it looks better than previous Fallout games but retains that same feeling of exploration. I am mixed on the whole settlement building aspect of the game but I have wasted some time in it so it's not too bad. I'm probably played over 20 hours in with very little done with the main story because of exploration and side quests. I do recommend this game if you loved Fallout in the past.

The game is very immersive and customisable. The graphics are a big leap from Fallout 3. I will say that it is very hard to get in to if this is your first Fallout game. If it is your first, I recommend either watching tutorials on how the game works or asking friends who have played previous Fallouts to help you out. Every time I play the game, it makes me wish that the next Elder Scrolls game was released already just because it feels like Skyrim (since Bethesda makes both games). It will definitely give you hours of fun and the only bad thing is that you'll forget that you have to get back to real life when you're done.

This game is really cool. I was a huge fan of Fallout 3 and this game it's right in line with that one. The graphics have been tuned up a little bit but no major changes overall. It is bigger, somewhat better looking and there are just a million things to do in this game. For now I'm just giving this game four out of five stars because it's just so similar to Fallout 3. But, if you're as big fan of Fallout as I am, that's not going to be a problem for you. I'll try and update this review later once I get deeper into the game to see if I can bump it up to 5 stars but for now, get ready to waste some time in the wasteland.

I'm new to Fallout series but Fallout 4 looked pretty sick since it was revealed. Copped it and very glad I did. Have not been able to log that many hours into it yet but the graphics are amazing and you really get the sense of the vastness of the open world. Heard dialogue and conversation options are a little weaker when compared to its predecessors. Gameplay is fun and getting a power armor suit is the best. Melee-ing is somewhat slow to me compared to FPS games like CoD and like. The soundtrack is pretty good from what I've heard so far. Can't wait to really get into the settlements and crafting portions of the game.

Fallout 4 is one of the great standouts for 2015! The game is set in a post apocalyptic open world. While the graphics are not the best, the grays and subtleties of color use are due to a radiation filled landscape. I love how the story unfolds and how it's so easy to ease drop on conversations and actual view gunfights. What you do in this game does matter. You can have a companion a company you and you should make them feel welcome ,because if dont they will leave alone in the world. With a driving story and slightly terrifying yet exciting world; this game is an absolute must have! Bugs aside, this game rocks!!!

I like many others am a Fallout fan so it is not a shock that I went out and purchased the latest Fallout game. I read many reviews both good and bad, but ultimately regardless of what they said I had to experience it for myself. As many reviews stated the game does have some flaws, but there is so much stuff to do in this game I just looked passed them and continued on with other things to do which in no time you forget about the little things that you didn't like. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fallout fan and if you are unsure still go rent it to see what the new wasteland has to offer.

It's your typical Fallout game, which is great. Plenty of killing, freedom to roam wherever you want, and a decent storyline. My main dislike is that it's way too complex than what's needed for a video game. From building a town, modifying weapons and armor, making chemicals and building your stat tree. It's way too time consuming and it's so much of a pain making sure you have every little ingredient for whatever you're trying to make and not becoming over-encumbered (which happens ALL the time). Most of that is side stuff though, and when just focusing on the missions and killing stuff, it's a fun game.

I never played FO before this game, so I don't know if the others are as awesome as this game, but when I started this, I was enlightened on how far gaming has come in the last 10 years. I took a break from gaming for about 10 years and started back with my PS4 and the last of us, this is the second game I have played since returning, and I can say I was not disappointed. The details they put in this game are awesome. Unlimited avenues to explore and just so many "things" to do. If you are on the fence about getting this game, let me push you forward to a good experience! Happy Gaming.

Fun game, but Bethesda's formula has grown stale.

Fallout 4 is a step back from Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and really shows that Bethesda has failed to innovate much in terms of their game engine, graphics, or gameplay. What they do is pretty cool, but it is becoming stale. And in the wake of The Witcher 3, the bad story and lack of any meaningful choices is made that much more glaring. That said, I had fun, but this could have been so much more, and I genuinely hope that Bethesda will learn from their mistakes - instead of just swimming in their cash - and deliver the next Elder Scrolls game with upgrades and improvements across the board.

If you are a fan of past Fallout iterations, then you will enjoy Fallout 4. On the PS4 it's a mixed bag of beauty and ugliness. The facial textures and ragdoll physics are old school Fallout while the world you travel in is new gen. Gameplay is familiar, the VAt system is there as well as an ally you can use as a pack mule though their path finding algorithms leave something to be desired. They are great diversions when facing off with baddies. They don't die so don't waste resources on them. All in all, it's a great Fallout game. It needs patching for some variable crashing but fans will enjoy it.

The gameplay of this game is great overall, but the story could use a bit more subtlety and the impact of choice factor needs to be redone. I've noticed that the choices you make have little impact on anything, the only times being when dealing with a faction. That's my two cents on the game, and despite the things I have said, it's the little things that make the game great, like finding a skeleton next to a toaster that had a screwdriver stuck in the top... Those kind of things are what make this game worthy of sitting in my ps4 24/7 even when I have a three new games to play... Worth it lol.
