The title says it this game is massive in scope and most of the time excellent but you'll find yourself doing much repetitive work for whatever faction you choose.

Graphics feel like last gen and the gameplay starts to feel repetitive and is actually shallow and lacks any innovation. But despite the faults I'm getting sucked into the exploration of the waste land and I'm having fun with it. Seems like whether or not you like this game will hinge on whether or not you have ever played previous installments. Seems like those who dislike this game have played previous titles whereas noobs like me are enjoying the experience, perhaps due to its novelty.

There are a lot of side quests and gets a bit repetitive. Still fun to pick up and play for a cheap price now.

Game gets quite repetitive after a few hours. Great graphics. Got it for the girlfriend but it's being used as a coaster right now collecting dust.

This was my first Fallout game, and I had trouble getting into it. I think the dialogue is extremely cheesy, and it's a lot of gunplay that gets repetitive quickly. The customization is excellent, however.

Great experience, but it falls a bit short. Most of the dialogue options look different, but all say about the same thing. Being bombarded with settlements that need help every 5 minutes doesn't help either. Its fun if you want to build your own base, but it would've been better if the writers from New Vegas did the storyline.

If you've played Fallout 3 then you've played this one. They added a bunch of new stuff in but nothing to justify and 8 year gap since the last one. Ubisoft puts out a new Assassin's Creed every year and some of them have had more advancements than Fallout has in 8 years. The game uses a very outdated engine and it shows. Not to mention that the gameplay, characters, and animations are absolutely terrible by 2015/2016 standards. The world building is great and there is plenty of content but it gets pretty repetitive and it's not that fun after a while.

Fallout has a great concept and the story is fun. Most of the side quests are enjoyable as well. My only issues with the game are that some of the side quests seem very pointless and repetitive. What bothers me most is the movement of the character. It can be glitchy and its easy to get stuck in random corners or objects. The graphics aren't amazing either. The best part about the game is following the story.

I will start by saying I really like Fallout 4. It is fun to play and everything they packed in there makes the game very enjoyable. However, there is a lot of needless stuff or things that have no substance. Go clear this place, or find this item. They get repetitive. They should not have tried to pack so much into the game. They should have focused more on less quests and places to go so that it did not feel like you were just wasting time in the game. But overall the game is great.

I'm a huge fan of the fallout universe, the style of the world with its characters, creatures, weapons etc. I just find all of it very fascinating and fun to explore. And while I was a big fan of Fallout 3 I couldn't get over how ugly that game looked, and while this game is no technical masterpiece, the improvements Bethesda did on this game were still very impressive for me. My complaints with the game are legitimate criticisms though that keep it from being one of the best games I ever played. The side missions that are meant to expand and engage you in this world are not nearly as compelling or enjoyable to play as previous installments in the franchise. There are a few neat missions here and there but they get repetitive at times for me. Enemy variety in this game is another problem, there are not nearly as many interesting unique enemy types as I was hoping there would be, so you'll be fighting more or less the same enemies most of the time. And it being a Bethesda game it's unfortunately filled with glitches and it occasionally crashed on me after playing for so long. But I feel that the positives far out way the negatives, it's an incredibly fun game to play that managed to keep me invested for an incredibly long time as a $60 game should. I certainly got my money's worth out of this one.

If you played either Fallout 3 or New Vegas, you'll have an idea about what to expect. Yes, it's more of the same overall, with a few noticeable changes. Settlement building is the newest addition. It's a great idea, though a bit poorly implemented, requiring Perks to really taken advantage of the concept. It can be fun, however, and I definitely spent way too much time doing it. The world is massive, and it's easy to ignore the mostly forgettable main story to forge your own path in the world, which is wide open to your character, so long as they can survive. There are some poor design choices really holding the game back. Repeating radiant quests involving certain characters are more annoying than encouraging, unless the idea is to make you the player want to quit the game. Now your character is voiced, but that aspect doesn't add anything and instead detracts from how conversations are structured, and there's a to of sameness to many of the environments/locations, meaning you go in, clear it of whichever enemy type is in there, pick some locks, hack some computers, rinse, repeat. More variety in mission structure would've done a lot to alleviate the issue, but it seems like the focus is on quantity over variety. You can easily play this game with one character for over 100 hours, but I'm not so sure that's always a pro given the repetitive nature of the core gameplay mechanics. I did encounter glitches. Twice the game quit with an error message, but I didn't lose much because I saved often (seriously, save often). I also had some audio loop bug that just kept repeating, which was solved by quitting the game to the main menu. Funny how stuff like that works sometimes. There are some other minor problems. The framerate can seriously stutter at later points in the game when Vertibirds are around, or just when a large number of enemies are encountered. Or just because. Some of these problems will probably be ironed out at some point. Overall, it's a great game that's perhaps a bit too ambitious for its own good.
