Great game with open world and practically limitless gameplay

the game is great is many ways but the worst part is the fact that you cannot skip cutscenes and when you play co-op, it doesn't save outpost/bell tower progress if you're not the host. also there's a hang glider that you can find in front of a tree and as soon as you take off, you hit the tree and die. other than that the game is pretty good.

This game is pretty much the how next gen games should be. Good story, great graphics, and a huge open world. Would give it five stars if some things didn't seem cut and paste from Far Cry 3 ie. Faction vs. Crazed Warlord.

Get hooked easily, fun to play, hard to play, a challenge

This game weather on the PS4 or the Xbox One {I bought PS4 version} is every bit as good as FC3, and thats saying alot. Just couldn't put this game down until I beat it !! {took me 4 days though}. This is my GOTY for 2014, do yourself a favor, buy this game. YOU WON't BE SORRY!

If you like the previous FarCry games, you will also like FarCry 4. From the onset, the story is pretty wide open which allows the player to advance in the plot at their own pace. The action was pretty standard, but the game does look good. The villain is memorable, although not included in much of the story. It was a good PS4 game.

Far cry 3 was great but Far Cry 4 I think is a step down. It tries to do much. Once you begin an quest another appears confusing the current quest. I think Ubisoft did great job graphically here but the gameplay is stifled by too many new mechanics that are not fined tuned. Overall worth experiencing when the price goes down.

I loved playing this game... so much to explore and taking over areas and bases is so much fun. I couldn't stop myself. I just wanted to find the next chest or conquer the next fortress. Co-op is hilarious and so much fun as well. I wouldn't miss this game if I were you!

This is one of those games that you lose sleep by purchasing. It's really addicting and the non-linear gameplay adds to the enjoyment. The game also has replayability, as you can choose slightly different paths throughout the game. One of the best PS4 games out IMO.

I wanted to love this game. While the world of Kyrat is breathtaking and Pagan is a mildly entertaining villain, it doesn't make up for what is overall a lackluster experience. It took what made Far Cry 3 great and did nothing new with it. The game is full of time consuming mini quests that amount to "kill 6 guys at a base and then do something else". Even on hard the game gives you so many advantages that any gun battle can be won using the same couple of tactics every time. Most of the weapons feel very similar and the gun play is only average. The story may be the most disappointing part of this game. Far Cry 3 began attaching you to your character and making them into a person you care for and want to succeed. In 4 you get a name and a paragraph of back story and then off you go, you're the savior of Kyrat! All in all the game was average. Get it when it's 20 bucks, otherwise pass.

Far Cry 4 was easily one of my most anticipated releases of the year and so far, it has yet to disappoint. Though the game's story is entirely brand new, FC4 still picks up right where Far Cry 3 left off in terms of gameplay. Unlike shooters such as Call Of Duty and Battlefield, FC4 offers so much more value in its single-player campaign. The story alone will take at least 15-20 hours plus all of the side activities will easily take just as long, if not longer, to complete. If you're looking for a fun, but strong story-driven, open-world first-person shooter, Far Cry 4 is the way to go.

I liked some of the new mechanics they added such as riding the elephants and scaling the mountains easier but the gameplay is similar to part 3 which isn't bad because 3 was great but I felt the story was worse and the villain was worse compared to part 3.

Farcry 4 takes you on a ride from the time you start it up til you finish the last act. For over achievers the game will provide over 30 hrs to 100% it. Co op was a blast and the main reason I purchased it. Dont miss out a great next gen game.

If you've played the third, you've basically played this one! It has some new mechanics, such as a wing suit and grapple hook, however I would only suggest a buy if you're a real fan of the series or if you're just looking for a very good looking, but occasionally repetitive FPS to pass the time.

Haven't never played any of the Far Cry titles, I didn't know what to expect from this game. I assumed it would be a first person shooter with tons of action. I what I didn't expect was an open world action first shooter game with tons of missions and side missions. At first, I enjoyed the game, but after awhile I became overwhelmed (lazy with the side missions) that side track from the main storyline. Not to take anything away from the game, its an awesome game. I know for sure if I had the time and patience like I did when I was younger, I would love this game. If you have the time and tolerance buy this game.

The biggest problem with this game is the story. Not in that it's particularly bad, but that it gates your interaction with the ridiculousness of the setting. Basically Kyrat is most interesting when your wandering the countryside, wrecking a variety of humans and animals in an emergent fashion.

If you like open world games this is definitely one to get. There is a main story that you have to play and there is quite a few side missions that you can do to get better weapons and abilities. This is an upgraded version of the last edition.

Lots of places to explore and things to do. This game can get a little repetitive, and you can only co op with one player, but still plenty of fun. You can customize weapons and unlock special weapons by completing various tasks around Kyrat.
