My first Farcry and so much fun. The story is interesting to follow and I love the gameplay mechanics. So much detail put into it. Weapons, environment, etc...

Once again FarCry has exceeded my expectations. Great story, expansive map and awesome graphics. I can’t wait to see one of these on the PS5!

Don't get me wrong this game is beautiful, but they really tweaked lithis one. No more towers to climb, no exploring to open maps, no hunting wildlife for pelts to craft into stuff. this game is still awesome, it's a fully open campaign for you to do whatever the heck you want. Enemy AI is alright, controls are tight. Its awesome that's it's set in the good ol' US of A beautiful Montana. Its also nice that you can go at your place. love this game go get it!

One of my favorite open world games of all time.
I like this game because you can actually finish it, yet feel like you received your moneys worth. Some open world games are amazing, but just go on and on, which can be good or bad depending on how invested you want to be. I personally prefer substance and story over never ending fetch quests, and this one fits the bill perfectly. If you're looking for a game with a satisfying end, but great replay this may be worth a look.

I'm a fan of the Far Cry series. This installment is solid. The gameplay is very similar to Far Cry 4. The story is entertaining and the open world is fun to explore. Worth checking out.

I loved Far Cry 4! This game is that game on steroids! Everything great in Far Cry 4 carried over to Far Cry 5. All the stuff you hated in Far Cry 4 is gone. No skill tree to open other skills - you pick you skill when you have enough points. No killing animal for weapons builds. Now you hunt and fish for Money. Silly whirly copper is a much better Helicopter or plane. Now drive big-rigs and different types of cars. Still have a great story that will last hours and hours. Tons of side quests to keep you engaged for more entertaining fun.

The Best of the Franchise.

Going into it, I thought Far Cry 5 would be a marginal improvement over 4 in the same way Far Cry 4 was a marginal improvement over 5. I'm glad to have been so wrong. Far Cry 5 easily blows 3 and 4 out of the water and sets a new gold standard for the franchise as a whole. You can tell that Ubisoft put a lot of thought into focusing on the previous games' strengths and mitigating its weaknesses.
Instead of just focusing on one charismatic antagonist that you only see a couple of times throughout the game, this game gives you four that you can take down in any order, all of them constantly antagonizing you throughout the game instead of only rarely showing up. Instead of climbing towers over and over again, you learn about the world by exploring, talking to NPCs, reading notes and listening to answering machines. Instead of forgettable music, there are actually some nice licensed tracks on the radio. The vehicles have much more variety to them as well.
In addition you now have NPC companions that you can take with you, each with their own skills to make things easier for you. It's a page ripped straight fro Metal Gear Solid 5, but I think Far Cry 5 actually does it better.
All this without even mentioning the Arcade mode, which gives you a virtually endless amount of content to play through after you finish the campaign.
I think people who had written off Far Cry after 3 and 4 should give 5 a chance. People who already liked 3 and 4 have no reason to hold off. This is definitely one of the best games of 2018.

Having never played a Far Cry game before I went in blind and only bought it because it was under $15 at the time. I've been really enjoying it! I'm not a huge FPS player, so I don't really know how it compares to the big boys like Call of Duty etc, but for less than $20 I've been having a good time. The graphics are good, the story is great so far, and it controls with no problems. I'm only a few hours into it, but hopefully all of that stays the same throughout.

The rural Montana setting is fun and less empty than you would expect. Slightly disappointing ending and long cut scenes. Fun gameplay. Worth $30 or less

As someone who could never really get into the Far Cry series this game surprisingly impressed me. I really enjoyed the setting, the main antagonists and the supporting characters.
The game play is also enjoyable and satisfying, but not all that innovative from previous games. I could imagine some might find it a little repetitive after a while. At least the towers from previous games are gone.
The Far Cry arcade is also a nice little addition, the level creator is challenging to get the hang of, but probably the most in depth creator tool I have ever seen in a game.

This is my first Far Cry game that I've played and I am blown away. The gameplay is fun and immersive. The story line is captivating and it is the first game I've actually sat through all of the cut scenes. There is enough of a challenge in some missions that it doesn't become boring but it isn't too challenging to the point where you want to give up. The one downside is that it seems that you really have to play the arcade in order to actually get more points for the campaign.

Very entertaining, the scenes, maps and structure is enough different from previous Far Cry games. The AI (artificial Intelligence) of the enemies is very limited, the fun is based more on the multiple enemies and directions. It has some additions from previous versions and the bugs I have seen are not enough to make it crash.

I didn't think Ubisoft could top FC3, but I think they did with FC5. I love the the setting and characters and I think the story is much more believable this time around. Customization is much improved here and the arcade mode is simply stellar. The games story is lengthy with a plethora of side activities, vehicles, weapons etc. The game is just a blast to play and something that should be experienced by every Far Cry fan.

The latest in the Far Cry series sticks close to the formula, capture forts, fight beasts and people, etc. It is tough at first, but after you clear one area, you can always fast travel back there to avoid the constant onslaught. The flying, skydiving, fishing and hunting are all fun distractions when you don't feel like burying yourself in the story. But it can get a bit repetitive when fulfilling the various requirements for each area. Overall though, it's still a fun Far Cry experience.

The game came in on time I bought this as a Christmas present, I have it on Xbox. The person I bought it for has never played a far cry game before and they found this highly entertaining and fun a little hard for them I guess but if you are used to story fps role playing type games you are all set. Graphics are beautiful I would give this game a shot if you are looking for something new.

I am a big fan of this franchise but I recognize that the last two installments were sub par, this game gets the franchise back on track.
From the first hour of gameplay you are absolutely immersed in the world of Far Cry 5. There is so much fun to be had in this massively open world UBISOFT has created definitely recommend. I can say that you will enjoy this game both single player and with friends
