First, I have been a fan of the Farcry series since the beginning (except Primal). Farcry 5 hands down, beats the all. From gameplay, to weapon selection, storyline, to playability, this game has it all and then some. The open world- ness to the game is great and there are plenty of side challenges to keep you busy. Again, I cannot recommend this game enough. Love it.

I really liked FarCry 4 and figured this one was a no brainer for me. Its action packed, nice graphics, great audio sounds and so far haven't encountered any bugs or glitches. The controls are about the same as previous installments so no problems for me there. Any fan of the series will enjoy this one. Lots of fun.

Never played a Far Cry before. Loved the open world aspect of it. Like how you level up and pick a path so to speak as far as what skills to level up first. Love how you can drive boats, choppers, and planes. You can be sneaky and snip people or shoot them with your bow, or run in guns blazing. Very fun game.

I've played the last couple Far Cry games and this one is my favorite. If you enjoy what Far Cry games have to offer, then you will love this game. The story is dark and amazing. You learn to really hate the main enemies from the get go. Movement and shooting feels smooth. It's just an overall amazing game that will keep you busy for a very long time.

Bought this game the first week it came out. This game is a first person shooter those of us who dont like playing on line. Its easy play and has tons of things to do besides the main story. You can fish for money. You can off road/ fly / boat for treasure. Hunt dangerous animals for sport or reward. There are so many things to do, you'll forget you need to save the town... or friends..or world... or something. Oddly, the story is the games only minor issue. It has a habit of forcing you complete it at the oddest times. Like when you are hunting a rare animal or for a treasure and BAM you are forced to kill a boss. When you arent ready! Like i said, its a small issues in another wise pretty fun game. Think GTAV with way more shooting. Or Fallout with way more shooting but less story. Its still a good 50+ hour game it you try to complete all the challenges. An the game is way better on hard (extra Hard?). Any ways, i do recommend this game as The beginning and middle of the game are really fun. The final chapter and boss are kinda of annoying, but that's only like the last 3 or 4 hours of the game. So no biggie.

This game is soooo fun! It isn't some short lived game, it can last for as long as you want it to with all of the side missions available! I've been playing for a month now and I'm not even half way thru the game! The story line is a good one and actually intrigues you watching the videos in the scenes. Awesome graphics as well!

This is going to be one of those games that I keep replaying. Top five games. Looses a star because I keep getting some kind of glitch or bug where it will only stay night or day and won't change so I will be suddenly stuck in night mode for the rest of the game. No fix since release that I am aware of.

Not a whole lot different from 3 or 4

If you're playing this game by yourself, it's not a whole lot different than when you played 3 or 4. The mechanics are more or less the same. The game is laid out the same........main bad guy....have to liberate parts of the map to be able to go after the main villain. Game does shine if you play this online co-op with someone else. The farcry arcade adds endless replay ability. Lots of DLC planned for game. If you didn't play Far Cry 4 or 3 (but especially 4) then you should definitely play this game. If you played 3 and 4 and will be playing this alone...wait for a sale.
For trophy/achievement hunters ...some of the trophies require you to play online matches....and those can be a pain as it's team based so you can be the best but your team will lose and you wont get the wins you need to unlock those trophies. And the longer you wait after it's been released the more dead those servers will be.

The Far Cry games have become one of the few franchises I always look forward to playing when they release new games. They are consistently enjoyable to play with great action, story lines, and acting. While Far Cry 3 & 4 will always be my favorites this entry is very good.

The game has an interesting story considering today's tumultuous climate and disregard for religion, but where the game shines is in its gameplay. It is a Far Cry game at heart with new features that take what you loved about the old games to the next level. Strongly recommend jumping into Montana and killing a bear with a shovel!

Great game, the whole opening and tone of the game was awesome. I felt like this game could have been something from the walking dead or a movie. Ubisoft really took it up a notch, great game, cool weapons and fun for hours I highly recommend it. And I have yet to play co op but I hear its fun however not until I beat the game.

I will say this is one of the better farcrys I've played since maybe farcry 2. But then again, it's still farcry so it kind of feels the same. The setting is different, the story is different, but overall feels like the others. If you don't have a problem with that you'll love the game. I do like that co op skills gained go with you to your game, but hated that story progression didn't.

I never played a far cry game before this one. I really enjoyed this game. The map is huge, but I never felt like any one area was the same. The beautiful Montana region was captured beautifully. The story never really completely gripped me, however it was decent enough to keep me interested. Overall, very good game.

I enjoyed this game a lot, but I experienced some bugs. One cut-scene slowed down and became so distorted it was unwatchable. Another time I got stuck in a door and had to exit out of the game to reload. These were infrequent and have likely been patched by now, but they are worth mentioning. Apart from a few bugs this is a great open world FPS.

This game is definitly a Far Cry game. The map is so big and immersive. Besides the story, the game has so much more to do like side missions for allies and even fun mini games that help improve the skills in game. You'll definitely have fun with this game, but I do recommend to try out the co-op.

Ubisoft has perfected the Open World action shooter with far cry 5. Over the lifetime the series has refined its mission and structure and it all comes to a head with far cry 5. Gameplay and story that keep you coming back for more and side quests that make you laugh and think.
