Game does not work after update

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game and it worked, but did not work again when I tried to play the game again. The system said that the game was automatically updated while in sleep mode. There must be a software glitch that needs to be addressed.

Patch breaks the game - look online firsg

I installed it, then the 30+gb patch, and I get a “cannot play this” error. It’s a known glitch, and there is a workaround. But I don’t want to reinstall the game and the update. My ISP has a data cap. I’ll wait for them to send another update and then eventually I may play the game.
