Far Cry New Dawn is a continuation of the story from Far Cry 5 so be sure to play Far Cry before picking this up and the story (and dozens of back stories) throughout the game will make more sense. The story is only about half of what Far Cry 5's story was and the playable map area is about 2/3 of 5's as well. The game is cheaper though so I believe it's a fair deal.

Great graphics and story. Gameplay has improved. Overall a fun time

It's a continuation of the story from the 5th game set years in the future. If you have played the previous entries in the series you can expect more open world exploration with territories to take over and each place with different objectives to have fun in.

I normally did not delve into the "expansions" of the Far Cry series as they all have a different feel than the main series. But the FC5 story was so gripping in my opinion that I had to check out FC New Dawn. It does not disappoint! Great story and memorable characters. Of course, not as long as the FC5 campaign, but still worth the time and purchase.

Great game with very good graphic and lots of action.

I gave it 4 stars because the cost of the game is almost as much as FarCry5, but the storyline isn’t as good. It’s a fun game to play, but there are some parts of the storyline that you can’t skip and I’m one of those gamers that wants to play the game and not watch a low quality movie in the game.

If you enjoyed Far Cry 5, this is a great semi-sequel set years after the New Eden crazies <spoiler alert> launched the nukes. Storyline is almost on par with 5, but I found the Twins lacked the same depth as the evil cast from 5. Hurk (Junior) is hilarious - worth the price of admission alone!

Far Cry New Dawn takes place after the events of Far Cry 5, in a post-apocalyptic Hope County Montana. Some of the main characters from Far Cry 5 are present in this game as well. The game plays very similar to the first title, and is graphically and mechanically sound. Main gripe I had was the insertion of RPG elements, whereas you grind resources to upgrade weapons and your base. The reasoning why these exist is to push the in-game micro-transactions (otherwise you will need to grind to finish the game, which I had to do.) Not a fan of these personally, and mainly just play Far Cry games for their action and chaos. Again the game is fine, just hope to not see these in any future subsequent Far Cry games going forward.
