There is so much to like about this game. If you want a single player shooter game experience the Far cry series will never disappoint. Although some things in this game still feel similar to far cry 3, this game feels and looks the part of a much more polished version of far cry 3 without memorable villains. Open world exploration is fun and addicting. Random encounters of wildlife and people make this game so much fun. A honey badger or eagle can come down and attack you at any moment or your opponents causing so much chaos.

Very similar to other Farcry but newer and more sci-fi w/more realistic/believable scenarios. Better than primal. I Dont like going back to old days with good graphics 4k tv surround system. Just me.

Although not quite as huge as the standalone Far Cry versions, this is still packed with lots of things to do. Builds off of Far Cry 5 in an interesting way story wise.

FarCry 5 SPOILER ALERT!....For anyone who has played through farcry 5, and was hit with that ridiculous open ending... That is the only reason i bought this. I almost hate that i did because of the shenanigans they pulled in FC5. but what can I say, im a completest. So regardless of how much resentment i had. I have to play the story out. Just started this one. So far it feels just like FC5 with a little nicer looking (graphics wise) world. So if u enjoyed FarCry 5, you should like this the same.

Enjoyed going back to the game. Nice stop gap game before some of the AAA games come out later on. Does get a bit repetitive but it seemed to fit the bill at the time.

I really enjoyed this sequel to Far Cry 5. It's basically a slightly watered down version of a full Far Cry game, but the story is just as interesting and involved as the rest. Great buy.

I have been playing Far Cry games and this is a very good addition to the collection, its a short story game but very enjoyable, graphics are also very good!

If you picked this up or are thinking of it and haven't played Farcry 5..what are you waiting for? It is a continuation of the story from 5, yet can stand on its own (you just lose some of the value of the characters established in 5 that appear here, as well as story bits). Do not go into it looking for a full-fledge departure from 5, because its just spin-off not a full sequel. Still worth a cruise around if you want to kill some people with makeshift weapons and see pretty flowers.

If you enjoy Far Cry 5 you'll enjoy New Dawn, it's a direct sequel which makes small adjustments to the gameplay of 5 tp create a smoother experience. I am loving it.

I honestly had a hard time with this game. I play most games on hard but even on easy this game was difficult to play. It could have just been glitches, but there aren't as many perks as Farcry 5 and there are some missions where it is impossible to pass without certain weapons but you are not warned that certain weapons are needed. It is also very short, I finished it in less than a week. Really unhappy with this game overall.

Good add on game from farcry 5.. Its just as fun & challenging.. Good Twist with the concept tho ! You'll have to play to find out..

Not quite a sequel, not quite DLC, Far Cry New Dawn is some sort of unholy amalgam of the two that perfectly represents this age in gaming: a video game that manages to rip you off with its small size and disappoint you with its small amount of content, all while pretending to be a new entry in a storied franchise. Don't believe it. The game has maybe 40% of the content of FC5, without any of that game's surprisingly great story or characters. In this one you are simply tasked with taking down two post-apocalypse baddies and... that's it. No intrigue, no cool new gameplay elements. Just go over there, shoot, and come home. This would have been a fine addition to a $20 season pass. Instead, I'd just give it a pass, period.

I'd prefer to rate this as four-and-a-half stars. It's an enjoyable sequel to FarCry 5, but it's largely derivative from that game. Although you have to perform certain missions and achieve certain objectives to finish the game, there is a lot of open world flexibility that lets you explore freely, pick the timing of many battles, and develop your skills and arsenal at your own pace. You can choose stealth, direct combat, or a combination of both.

Far Cry New Dawn may appear as a dlc for Far Cry 5. The ambiance is identical obviously, but the atmosphere has changed. The new graphic design with the bright colors and radiated animals make Hope County even more beautiful than ever. The game isn't that long, takes around 15-25 to complete most of the missions and around 30-50 hours to 100% the game. If you manage to get a good price on this game... I highly recommend. The combat is different and the characters have improved!.

I bought this game without playing farcry 5. I love this game, it has been hours of fun and challenges. I will definately go out and buy 5 when I finish this game.

Same gameplay, same style of a small group against some jerkholes. If you’ve played the others, might as well get this one done too.

Far Cry New Dawn shares a lot of great similarities with Far Cry 5, but it’s the minor tweaks that allow it to stand as its own title. With so much to do, so many places to explore, and a post-apocalyptic world that is grounded in realism, there is no shortage of entertainment to be had in Hope County. While Mickey and Lou may not seem as threatening as previous installments’ villains, they and the Highwaymen with their vibrant neon graffiti and motocross-influenced gear are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
