If your into the survival games this is a must. I have played all the far cry’s and this has to be my favorite one. Worth the play

Graphics really stand out, and is a nice expansion to the series. Almost feels like it should have been apart of Far Cry 5 as DLC.

I had recently played Far Cry 5 not realizing that this was a direct sequel also set in Hope County, MT. OnceI realized that, I was even more excited to play this game! Many locations are recognizable and it’s fun to discover them - there’s even a side mission that focuses on this. The game is not perfect, but it’s fun and I’ve enjoyed getting into the Far Cry series. Since it’s shorter than the numbered entries, it’s good that they made it $39.99, and it’s even cheaper with the Gamer’s Club membership.

...maybe especially Far Cry fans. This is really a disappointing addition to the franchise. Basically the same formula as 3, 4, 5, but with a new coat of paint... literally. All they did with the FC5 map is coat the world in graffiti, which is hilarious given that I would think carrying spray paint would be a last priority in a supposed post-apocalyptic world. For fans of FC5 and the story, I almost guarantee you will be scratching your head with some of the choices here. The new "villains" offer no compelling threat whatsoever, and the returning villain similarly caries no weight anymore. Throw in a bunch of really questionable design decisions like floating weapon damage numbers (even though there's no leveling system), a very shallow base management system, repetitive repeatable missions, and a surprisingly lackluster weapon upgrade mechanic, FC:ND deserves a pass. It still has the Far Cry DNA and there is some fun to be had with the usual outpost infiltrations, but this was not the right direction overall.

I own a few of the Far Cry games, but had never finished one until Far Cry 5 came out. That game was hilarious, and captivating at the same time. This game is a follow up to that game that continues the story of a post apocalyptic Montana. A few of the characters from the previous game made it into this one. I really enjoyed having a little more of the same story. I wish that the main antagonists were as flushed out as the previous game, bit I would still say this is a fun time.

This Far Cry New Dawn Standard Edition - PlayStation 4 is really a fun game. I would reccomend that you get it.

Having played FarCry 5, I was interested in the follow-up, New Dawn. It follows the same open world, main mission, side mission template as FC5. Being able to go at your own pace and decide what path to take is great. I wish there was more of the old Hope County still around, but what do you expect after a nuclear winter. Not as many side missions as FC5, but still plenty of game to occupy your time.

For a 10 year old he is in love with the game but it’s pretty nice for everyone nice graphics well made

I was a little skeptical when I first saw New Dawn thinking it was just a quick cash-in using Far Cry 5 assets, but after having played it I was wrong. New Dawn does enough to separate itself from Far Cry 5, but still retaining the feel of it. The story is done well, but the sisters don’t make very good villains when compared to previous ones. There’s enough content here to keep you busy for 20-30 hours and for the lower price it’s not hard for me to recommend for players who want to experience the aftermath of Far Cry 5.

Waited for a while to get this game. I'm a fan of farcry franchise. Wasnt disappointed at all. Good story line....

Great game again but a step down from 3 and 4. Still fun and the open world is still great.

Let me clear the air first, I LOVE the Farcry brand. Some were certainly better than others and the pinicle was Farcry 3. Farcry 5 came as a close second, but this is the first time in the Series that a new game takes on the effects and direct aftermath of the game before. This game is directly following the events of Farcry 5's world ending bombing. New Dawn is good, real good. It does play in Montana but there are other locations as well, and while I have not finished the game yet, I am fully engaged and enjoying it.

I've played all far cry up and til 3 and i love all no matter what and this game is amazing fun open world game full things to do!

Wanted to play this when it got announced but smartly waited for it to go down in price. Totally worth the 15 bucks I paid for it!

The game looked interesting, so had to get it. It was on sale for half price, not a bad deal. The gameplay is similar to Farcry 5.

Even though this will be familiar to those that played Far Cry 5 that's not a bad thing at a lower price

This game is a sequel to Far Cry 5. It mostly focuses on the combat side of Far Cry and has a new tier crafting system that isn't too bad. While there is an overall goal in the story for the most part you have a choice on how you want to tackle missions. Unfortunately scavenging is a big part of this game so if you don't enjoy collecting resources you may not like this game.

Far Cry 5 was my favorite game of 2018, so when I heard Ubisoft was releasing this narrative sequel (unlike the DLC which was unrelated), I was excited to get my hands on it. Is it a perfect game? No. But if you keep your expectations in check, it certainly is fun to revisit Hope County and see the map turned into a nuclear superbloom. The added expedition mode is also fun and a great excuse to visit other maps. $40 is a bit much, try catching it on sale for $20. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

I really enjoyed this game. I feel it was a bit shorter compared to the rest but the game was still enjoyable.
