The Fargo TV series is fantastic and I enjoyed season 2 just as much if not more than season 1! As I write this, season 3 is slated to be delivered today! If you liked or loved the movie Fargo you will most likely love this! Although a different story than the movie it retains the spirit of the same and has obvious touches of Coen Brothers throughout. Essential!

I actually thought this was better than season one of Fargo. Season 3 was a bit of a dissappointment.

A knew standard in movie to TV show storytelling.

I was a little suspicious with Fargo the series when it first was announced because the movie was so iconic. I'm glad I took the plunge. The first season removed all doubts and the second season laid it down thicker and harder. This season has several antagonists that give the first season a run for its money. And it only gets stranger and more surreal by the season finale which is hands down the best series ending I've seen in years! There's only one part that irritated me (and most will agree when you compare the continuity of a certain character to S1), but it's easy to forgive on a series that uses what little mythology it can muster and runs with it. Worth owning, especially on Blu-ray to pick up on the little parts you may have missed, and on the excellent cinematography.

Personally, I think "Fargo: Season Two" is just as strong as the first, with the right balance of Coen Bros. style.

This is the best season of a truly great show. Season 1 is good, 3 is ok but 2 is spectacular. I looked on Amazon and this was by far the best price I could find.

Great follow-up, maybe better than first season

As much as I loved Billy Bob Thornton in the first season, the second season has perhaps an even better overall cast. Kirsten Dunst and Ted Danson are probably the biggest names, but there are outstanding performances from the entire ensemble. Jesse Plemons was fantastic, and he seems to have put on about 40 pounds versus his role on Breaking Bad. Jean Smart is great as always, and there are very entertaining performances in smaller roles from Nick Offerman and Brad Garrett. Even though the second season is ostensibly a sequel, it's actually a prequel of sorts, with the events occurring about a quarter century before the first season. There isn't much of a carryover of story lines vis-a-vis to the first season, but one of the characters in the second season does in fact exist in the first season, albeit portrayed by an older actor in the later storyline. And as in the first season, the writing and cinematography are excellent. I can't wait for season 3.

Not as good as Season 1, in my opinion, but still a very solid entry in the ongoing series. The blu ray itself is of high quality and won’t disappoint. I honestly haven’t seen the bonus features, but the episodes themselves are worth the price of admission.

    Best tv season Fargo !!!

This series has been really good and this is the best of the three aired seasons. Really good cast and performances. Story line will keep you at the edge of your seat. Definitely a thriller, but also a great comedy and drama. Great similarity to the original Fargo and ties into the first season with some serious depth. Perfect set design and cinematography. My favorite part has to be the soundtrack, not to mention some really funny routes you'll find yourself saying though your binge watch of this series.

FARGO S2 - NEW ERA. NEW MYSTERY. SAME SNOWY HECK!

This season of Fargo can be viewed without watching the first, though there are some cool strands of plot-winks in there if you did. I really like this resurgence of anthology TV that we are getting nowadays, with shows like Fargo, True Detective and American Horror Story, as they always tend to excite with what may come next. In this case, we get a new string of murders that somehow yarn into one giant mystery, a new setting with the era of the 70s, and its all set in the same snowy landscape that we love - this time sprawling across N. Dakota, Fargo, and Kansas City - with mobsters coming from each area, coppers on the wrong side of the line and a poor couple that has stumbled into one heck of a doozy. But don't worry, it will all end well, right? After all, this is Fargo!

Noah Hawley continues to deliver a Coen Brothers vibe with a second fantastic season of Fargo. This season takes place years before the events of Season One and features a strong ensemble cast of characters. The only downside is that Fox seems to have decided this show will no longer be released on Blu-ray as Season 3 got only a DVD release.

An American anthology, a black comedy–crime story.

This iconic American true story is primarily set between Fargo, North Dakota & Luverne, Minnesota in March of 1979. Season Two details all the events that lead to a massacre in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The story follows a beautician and her husband, a local butcher, as they look to cover up a hit-and-run of the son of a local mob family that runs the town. The local mob is being pressured to let in a rival Kansas City mob that is looking to expand, and take over their operations in the small Minnesota town, and it documents the bloodbath that follows.

Almost as good as season 1

Season 1 of Fargo is one of my all-time favorite miniseries. Season 2 is nearly as perfect. It was a little slower going at the start and was harder to get interested in (for me, at least), but once it got going, it was every bit as awesome as the first season, and the acting is just spectacular across the board, especially surprising to me was Kirsten Dunst's performace. I don't normally think she's all that great of an actress, but she was amazing in this.

    Good, but not great

Fargo season 2 was good, but was not brilliant like Season 1. Everything about the first season was perfect. There were some very good performances in season 2...Ted Danson, Jesse Plemmons & Patrick Wilson were standouts...but some were just a little too over the top for me, most notably Kirsten Dunst and especially Bokeem Woodbine. His character was as annoying as his one episode role on The Sopranos. Unfortunately he's in every episode of Fargo. The decisions to include all the different split screens throughout the season was also very annoying. Even good as far as doing a split screen of the same shot...WHAT???!!! I wouldn't necessarily say I was disappointed in season 2, but it didn't live up the all the hype & wasn't nearly as excellent as season 1.
