I bought this lens to replace the ZEISS 24-70 which by the way is absolute trash,the worst lens ever made. The FE 24-105 is the best Sony lens I have purchased so far. It has not been removed from my A7RII since I've put it on. It is tack sharp at all focal lengths and locks on focus very quickly. I have used this it for professional portrait photography and street photography and myself and clients have been very pleased with the results. There is no need to spend extra money on the G Master; this will give you the same results.

This thing is “as advertised.” It’s very sharp and well built. I needed a lens that could ya for portraits, product photography and action video and this is definitely the one.

Razor sharp photos and far less expensive than the G-Master. If you can only afford one lens at this price level, this will get you the highest quality for your money.

Would I have gotten the 24-70 GM if I had over $2000.....YUP!!! but dang I almost can't even say this is a compromise! This lens is flat out awesome! Yes it doesn't have 2.8f but with the low light sensor Sony has it holds up MORE then well! Also I feel with the smaller (barely) footprint and the longer zoom (105mm). This lens provides so much bang for you buck! Love this purchase!!!

All around great camera lens for zoo trips, traveling and around town. Very sharp I’m. Sry happy with the build quality and picture quality

I severely struggled finding a variable lens that would live up to my expectations without costing a fortune. I shoot everything from landscape, to wildlife, to lifestyle and portraits. This lens covers such a perfect array of angles, while giving clarity and sharpness throughout the entire aperture spectrum. Very pleased with this lens, and highly recommend it to anybody needing one lens to do it all.

Very versatile lens because of the wide range. You carry this one only and you are good for most travel situations. Renders razor sharp photos and beautiful colors. You'll get some bokeh at the long end of 105mm, but it's not very pronounced due to F4 of maximum aperture.

Got this with my a7iii and its great. Sharp all around and versatile.

This lens is really outstanding, A decent medium range telephoto, the F4 maximum aperture throughout is nice to have, and does give good bokeh. Image quality is excellent. Lightweight and easy to handle, its a perfect walking around lens for your Sony camera.

If you are looking for one lens and on a right budget, this is the one to go. Really amazing lens and tack sharp as well. Amazing quality, OSS makes it sweet add on. Can be used a travel photography lens, macro and portrait. I love this.

This is the ideal travel lens. Good for portrait, landscape or street. The optical stabilizer compensates enough to take decent indoor shots even at f4. Images are sharp and I love the programmable button on the lens

I bought a new Sony mirrorless camera, and this is a great lens to go with it. Images are crystal clear and the image stabilization is amazing. I was originally concerned about the limited aperture (4), but I have no problems at low light levels or in bright sunlight.

Good for wide angle landscape to short telephoto and portraiture shots. 24-105mm is one of my favorite zoom focal ranges. This lens is crisp, sharp with good color rendition and contrast. Works well on my Sony a7III.

This is a great lens for travel as it is an all-rounder; the range of it helps with portraits to landscapes and the f4 is a prefect balance for both when you can only carry one lens.

I upgraded to the a7rIII in December and was using my older lens, when a friend told me about this lens, it’s have been a night and day different, this is the first brand lens I’ve bought and I couldn’t be happier!

The 24-105 mm f4 G is an excellent walk around lens with exceptional sharpness from side to side. It is a nice improvement over the 28-70mm kit lens I replaced! There is a weight and size difference if that is important to you. I have tested this lens with astrophotography at 24mm f4 on the Milky Way with pleasing results. I bought the 70-300mm G at the same time and this lens out performs the 70-300. My only gripe is the corner vignettes at 24mm when using a circular polarizer. It was money well spent to upgrade!

Excellent lens for both Studio, and Street photography. Lens is very sharp, and the lens is lighter in weight than most all 24- 105 f4 lens on the market.

If you have room for one lens, then this is the only one you should consider. Versatile, optically accurate and aesthitically pleasing outcomes.

This lense works perfect whether you’re going walking around town or taking portrait photography. With its fixed aperture and decent focusing speed, it’s sure to compliment your camera bag.

I’ve used the Sony 24-105 for sports photography, photo walks and even to shoot scenes on a short film. Amazing sharpness and quality!
