This lens is ridiculously sharp. Having the AF/ MF switch on the lens is really helpful too. I'm using the a6500 right now, but eventually I'll upgrade to a full frame camera, and it's nice that I will still be able to use this lens when I do. Overall, great investment. Well worth the money.

Not gonna get into the specs of this because u can find YouTube videos that will do that in great detail. I will say that this lens remarkable and the pictures that you'll get from it are astounding! Get this lens! Sony is really making great camera products and this is no exception!

If your a Sony user, it really comes down to this guy and the 85 GM. I’ve used both and the only real discernible difference is build and features. Image quality on this lens is hard to beat at any price point. I absolutely love this lens for portraits.

Great lens. Been my go to for portraits. Even occasional landscape. I compared this side by side with the Sony 85GM. Hardly tell the difference. Unless you really put it close. GM is slightly sharper. But definitely a great lens for the price.

The entire time I was with Canon I always wanted one of these but never got one. When I switched to Sony this is the first lens I bought to go with my new a7r ii and I couldn't be more pleased! I have gotten amazing images with this lens and I'm blown away at how versatile it is. This will stay in my kit from now on!

This is the best portrait lens one can buy for under $1000. Creamt smooth bokeh. It also provides an extra button for focus lock ( or any other custom function ). Its a prime, so need to use your legs for framing, but you already know that!

I used this lens on my trip to the Azore islands 2 weeks ago and was thrilled with the results! The reviews that flowed about this lens were completely accurate. Not much else to say other than, you need this in your kit! Enjoy

Great lens for portrait photography and cinematic footages. I am a Sony a7 iii user and this lens is a must for full frame Sony camera. You can get crispy images&footages and smooth blurry background. Definitely recommend it.

Focus speed is quite fast, locking onto subjects quickly and effectively.

I open many Sony and third party lenses and this is my favorite. Fast and smooth autofocus, and very nice depth of field. Glad I saved the money compared to some third party lenses at the same focal distance.

Great lens and awesome bokeh. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. I put it to the test in the Singapore Botanical Gardens and it performed very well. Captured beautiful photos of the orchid display.

This is a rare occasion where Sony offers a quality lens that is a bargain. Normally a Sony lens of this quality is only in the $1K dollar range. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed in this lens.

If you have Sony A series mirror less camera... This was such a great lens for the price..... This actually is the best quality lens for the price!!!!! You will NOT be upset..

The Sony 85mm f/1.8 Lens is smooth and quiet. I’ve only shot a little bit with it so far, but it’s been handling like a dream. It’s a fantastic portrait lens for the price! I’m shooting on the a7II.

I was wary about buying this lens and was contemplating buying the G Master but man did it perform like a dream. Solid lens and I recommend it to amateurs or professionals if you like taking sharp portraits

Countless of positive reviews on youtube encouraged me to get this lens and I have not been disappointed. It’s simply amazing. It produces sharp portrait images and videos combined with my Sony A7iii.

This lens is highly comparable to the 85 1.4 G Master lens. I owned both, and in my opinion this one was worth the money much more. Both were decenly sharp wide open, and this lens performs best at 2.8.

Bought this for my sister and she loves it! I don't know what but if she likes it, it must be good! She loves to take pictures and I have seen some of her pictures and they definitely look great!

Great lens. Close up shots are made easy. I love that this lens catches a lot of light. In addition, images are quality and colors show nicely.
