Interesting Horror Concept
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Robert Hall is no stranger to horror- getting his start doing the special make-up effects for shows such as "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Angel"; he still works in such a manner on the likes of "Grimm", and a whole slew of genre films. He has also directed quite a few movies, including his own bio-pic "Lightning Bug" and the awesome Chromeskull franchise. And now he's back with "Fear Clinic", based on a web series. Starring the amazing Finoia Dourif (great in "Curse Of Chucky", better here), Robert Englund as a mad scientist (bringing pathos and gravitas to what could have a thoroughly unlikable role), and Slipknot's Corey Taylor (surprisingly energetic and charismatic), the movie gets a lot of mileage out of its cast. The plot is pretty good, even though the ending is rushed, and doesn't quite make sense. The gooey, gore stuff doesn't come into play for about the first half, which is surprising given Hall's background, but the character development is appreciated.

Facing your fears formula...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've seen a lot of movies about facing your fears, a few were kid friendly and there was at least one or two Stephen King adaptations. This film though, took this concept to a very odd level. Admittedly, I never watched the show, but now I'm very curious. Seeing Robert Englund doing different roles from Freddy Kruger, wasn't a bad move for him: this wasn't his first, either. I know fear can be like a disease or a plague, but here's the tricky part, not letting it consume you. Although it can also save your life under the right circumstances. Obviously, this film will have some bone chilling scenes with certain viewers, it is called Fear Clinic after all, but take some precautions as well. Check it out, if you think you can stomache it!

The Dark
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Five people with incurable phobias seek treatment in a machine that animates their fears. Unbeknownst to them, the machine's operator harbors an entity which feeds on terror. FEAR CLINIC is shot well and looks great onscreen. The cinematography does an excellent job of helping to capture the desolate atmosphere of the clinic. The ambient sounds also add volumes to the air of eeriness. These combined make for a truly chilling movie experience. Stone Sour's cover of " The Dark" is awesome as well.

Interesting premise...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fear Clinic has an extremely interesting premise for a horror/sci-fi movie, but I feel it took itself too seriously and the execution of said premise fell flat. It was fun to see Corey Taylor act and Englund in a main role. The biggest perk was BBy teaming up with Corey Taylor and having him sign a limited number of copies. That alone makes it worth the price of entry!

Promising concept not properly utilized
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was hopeful for a unique budget horror movie that could explore a group of people's fears and was severely let down to find that the story revolved around a group who had experienced the same event. The beginning was insanely slow, it picked up well, then fell apart for the last portion due to a hilariously bad costume monster running around. Worth a Netflix or Redbox viewing, not worth buying.

Worth a watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you know are a fan of the director of this movie Robert Hall (Laid to Rest, Laid to Rest: Chromeskull, Lightning Bug) then you are probably anxiously waiting to see this like I was. Compared to his previous films this was a let down, but I still enjoyed it. I would recommend this movie, especially at it's low price but you may want to rent it first.

rather disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd like to give this a higher rating based on production values and the quality of the performances. Robert Englund fans get to see him do some serious acting, and the other characters (particularly those portrayed by Fiona Dourif and Corey Taylor) are also well done. The story just wasn't there, however, or if it was it was more difficult to follow than it needed to be. Just as I became immersed in the story, I found myself distracted by thoughts such as "What are they doing there now?" or "Where did he/she come from and why?" The story may have been more coherent with an additional ten minutes of run time to "tie things up",or it may have been an effort at clever film making gone awry. Unfortunately, I found this effort...rather disappointing.

Sub par horror movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've seen a lot worse movies. I would say this would be a Sunday movie when nothing else is on. I would let a friend borrow it but would not recommend buying it.

Let us help you with that fear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome movie. Patients who suffer from phobias endure radical new treatment that brings their fears to life as hallucinations. Robert Englund is back in fine form as the tormented doctor, after years of mailing it in on low budget schlock. Strong supporting cast too. A near original concept, near in that everything has been done, even if I can't recall where. Perfect mix of humor and horror. Highly recommended.

Decent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like this because of Robert Englund & Fiona Douriff, but it was just another average mediocre horror flick. Nothing groundbreaking here.
