    Fashionable Blue Light Glasses

Most blue light glasses are thought as a wear it sometimes, maybe when doing computer work type of product. Most people that use blue light glasses would like to wear them more often, but most blue light glasses are of lower quality. They don’t fit very well, the lens material is not very great, and they aren’t very fashionable. These Felix blue light glasses are all those things. The lens material is clear and sharp, the design is comfortable at least for my face, and the look is more comparable to designer glasses than your average blue light glasses. They also come with a proper carrying case which only adds to the value and high end feel of these glasses. The joints where the arms connect to the frame feel like they will last for a long time. The material itself of the arms and frames also feel like higher end glasses you might be accustomed too. Something else that is reassuring is that if you look at the reflection in the glass lens, its reflecting all sorts of colors like blue and green. There have been some low quality blue light glasses I’ve bought are questionable whether they are legit. They don’t visibly reflect colors like these glasses do. If you are looking for some high quality blue light glasses, these are a great option.

    Sleek Looking with Questionable Construction

As someone who works on the computer for 8+ hours a day and then games after, blue light glasses are a must. I have prescription eye glasses, but they are for being nearsighted, and they do have a UV protection coating against monitors. However, I wear contacts most of the time so it is not ideal, because when wearing contacts, I have no protection against the blue light emitted from electronic viewing devices. But then come in these blue light glasses! They come in a nice case, come with a cloth and the glasses themselves. The design of these glasses is very nice, they fit my face perfectly and are the style that I like, and color. They are pretty comfortable, they do slip a little bit but not a big deal. However, the construction of these glasses does worry me. They are pretty creaky and flimsy. I worry they won't last that long and the lens could pop out at any moment. Just after taking them out of the case and putting them on it sounded like the lenses and the frame were going to pop and break and crack. For 100 bucks I would expect much better construction quality than this. This is the main reason I give this product 3 stars is because of that. But they do work as intended and my eyes thank these glasses for that as they are not as tired and puffy at the end of a work day.

I work from home and use dual screens so I spend most of my day staring at computer monitors. I had lasik a few years ago and no longer wear glasses or contacts, but still often get headaches from eye strain. These glasses come with a nice, sturdy case and a cloth to wipe the lenses off and keep them clean. These are a fairly standard size, they're not too large on my face. Since I haven't worn glasses in awhile, it has taken some time to get used to the frames as they're fairly round/large. The lenses aren't prescription so they can be used with your regular contacts. So far, I feel these have helped to filter blue light from both my computer screen and phone screens throughout the day. While I do have bad allergies, I have noticed a decrease in the amount of daily headaches I've had since using these. I've also felt like I've had an improvement in sleep and ease of falling asleep at night. Not only are these a stylish pair of glasses, they also have great benefits of repelling blue light that can cause eye strain and headaches. They're great quality and also have a convenient carrying case so you can take them to and from work or travel easily.

These Roebling Blue Light Glasses are a great value for those looking to minimize eye strain and fatigue from extended use of electronic devices. The quality of the frames, lenses and hardware is quite good with ophthalmic quality frames and anti-glare coating. Aesthetically, the color and style of the glasses is quite nice and should be a nice look for most wearers. For anyone that uses a computer for a significant amount of time blue light glasses can provide a real benefit. I’ve found one’s eyes experience less fatigue while using blue light glasses. Roebling provides an option that is a fraction of the price compared to going to one’s ophthalmologist. Anyone who tends to require a larger size eyeglass frame in general may find that these are better for the average sized head. Also, those using over the ear headphones may want to opt for glasses with a thinner side frame in terms of extended comfort. Roebling could also appeal to a much larger group if these were offered with magnification options to address the many computer users that require reading glasses. I’d recommend these blue light glasses and given the benefit to one’s eyes they really are a great choice for a quality product.

The little box these came in was very cute with a nice saying on them when you flip open the lid. Good marketing. These have worked great, and nobody has mistaken them for shooting glasses. Shooting glasses generally have side shields and MIGHT be yellow shaded, but not these. Very clear lenses, which I appreciate. They are very comfortable and light on the face. They kind of have a librarian vibe with the look, which I'm okay with. I put these on and turned my monitors to full spectrum color by turning the blue light filters off. I think I had less eye fatigue wearing these after a long work session with full color on the monitors than I normally do with no glasses and blue light filters set on the monitors. I tried them later at night while watching programming on the tv which doesn't have dedicated blue light filter settings, and they seemed to work very well. I usually try to limit bright screens in the half hour before bed, and had no trouble falling asleep, which is usual. The case and cleaning cloth are very nice and come in handy. Time will tell how easy the lens are to show scratches.

Something so subtle can make a big difference

I'm nearsighted and that is who these are for. That, or you have perfect vision and don't require correction. There is a subtle but noticeable difference while wearing these writing this review on my laptop. Without stating the obvious, there really is a noticeable loss of the blue hue that comes from modern day LCD displays. As a result, I am able to look at my screen longer without the slight fatigue that sets in after an hour or so. I will definitely be using these glasses a lot. However, there are unfortunate limitations to their utility. Since adding RX lenses would remove the blue light filter and defeat the purpose of the glasses entirely, you will either need to be nearsighted or have perfect vision to use them. The farsighted need not apply. I appreciate the design and and build quality of these glasses and I feel that they will last a good while. The style is muted and no one will know that these are blue light filtering glasses. The price of admission is a little steep but you really can't put a price on your eye's health.

Chic and Practical Blue Light Filtering

These Felix Gray Blue Light Filtering Glasses are very chic. The stylish design provides the wearer the ability to wear them without looking out of place with current fashion. The quality is much higher than lesser price points. The frames were a little loose on the face, but once they were adjusted a tad bit they worked amazingly. Once they were tightened they remained snug and in place. I stare at a computer all day, some times for 12 hours straight, and these definitely help filter the blue lights and reduce headaches. They is very little fatigue due to long term wear. I previously owned a inexpensive pair of blue light filtering glasses and the Felix Gray pair blows them out of the water. However, with the retail price, some may balk at spending so much when cheaper options are out there. I would still say the glasses are worth it, but I get the hesitance. I would definitely recommend these glasses for purchase. My only suggestion would be to make them more easily adjustable to different face types.

Nice glasses and they perform as advertised. I do suffer from headaches and migraines on a regular basis, the requirement to be looking at a computer screen for work plus the added time on personal electronics/ TV definitely added to my issues. I tested the Felix Grays for a week solid, using them at work and at home while using any screened electronic device. Use of the glasses resulted in fewer headaches and one less migraine the week of testing. I average eleven headaches a week and three to four migraines. The week of testing I experienced only five headaches and two migraines, one of which went full blown. So the glasses definitely work as advertised. I did not notice an improvement with sleep due to wearing the glasses. They are stylish and unisex, lightweight and the case is well suited to keep the glasses protected however, the inner lining was already starting to separate from the case. Not a terribly big deal but it could be a turn off for some with the price base. The cleaning cloth is an added bonus.

No blue days with Felix Gray!

Having been working on electronic devices of all sorts for the last 30 years, I learned very early on that above all else - you must protect your vision! I wish I would have known then what I do now. I was told by an optometrist friend that my frequent headaches might be actually caused by excessive "Blue Light". This is emitted from consumer electronics such as PC monitors, etc. And I spend a LOT of time behind a computer screen! I never put the two together, so I thought "what the heck, let's give it a shot!" In come the Felix Gray Roebling Blue Light Glasses. These are sleek and stylish unisex frames. They are styled in such a way that they will fit on virtually all face/head sizes. For instance I have a huge head (I'm a huge/tall person) - and the frames look like they were custom made for me. My wife on the other hand, isn't, and she tried on the Roebling Blue Light Glasses and the frames looked like they were custom made for her as well! Quite the paradox! But, I'm not going to give myself a headache over thinking about how eyeglass frames look awesome on the big and small headed - that are made to prevent such! The frames are sturdy. There is no excessive outward bend "memory" in the arms. This is great otherwise after being on my head they would never go on my wife's! Felix Gray is kind enough to also include a hard-shell case and cloth which I appreciate, I am OCD about finger prints on glasses! So - did the lenses work? Do my headaches from monitor glare cease/lessen in severity. One word - YES! If you have pretty good vision like I do, you don't have to worry. These lenses are only blocking out the blue light. There is no magnification. Upon putting them on, however, the reduction in glare was almost like an instant headache off switch! I I have spent the last couple of days reading on multiple devices and not once getting a headache I would even remotely classify as a "screamer" in intensity. If you are in a profession where you are behind a computer screen all day, or heck, a kid that is a prolific gamer even; the Felix Gray Roebling Blue Light Glasses will definitely be a welcome addition to your home!

Made a bit of a difference

I will preface this by saying that I am a contact wearer, specifically hard contacts. The difference with these compared to soft contacts is that they cover less of the cornea than soft contacts do (basically, only the iris). This affects the amount of air that gets to the cornea, and the experience if your eyes start drying out (because you are not blinking enough). At this time, there is no option to have blue-light filtering on these contacts (I've tried). The biggest difference I noticed with these glasses is that I don't feel as tired after a few hours in front of the computer screen. Often I would become drowsy after looking at a screen for too long, especially if I am focused on a specific area of the screen. Perhaps this may have also been triggered from not blinking enough, drying out my eyes (and blurring my contacts), but blue-light is known to contribute to this. After wearing these glasses, I have not experienced that drowsy feeling that comes from "not being able to keep your eyes open." I am wearing (and reviewing) these glasses during the spring pollen season in the Southeaster U.S. For those who don't know, it's bad. After a day or two of no rain, everything has a yellow powder on it. You can imagine how your eyes can react to this. Reactions can differ, but typically my eyes dry out during this time of year. This is another reason that I feel like the glasses are making some difference. I must be blinking more than I am used to when staring at the screen, because, aside from other irritation that comes from the pollen, my eyes are not drying or blurring as much as I normally experience. I did notice the slightest (and I do mean slight) distortion when putting these glasses on. After trying to focus on a single spot (such as when you are having an eye exam), I realized this is more just light refraction making everything look slightly shifted, but not actually changing the acuity of my vision. I recommend looking away from the screen when you put these glasses on if that bothers you. Once they are on, I didn't notice it at all. I also did not notice any shifting of colors, but only when looking at artificial light, such as the screen or the light fixture overhead. The incandescent and fluorescent lights did not look any different to me. However, if I looked out the window, especially on a cloudy day, there was a slight greenish-yellow overtone to the color. It certainly was not disturbing and is not very relevant in the intended use of these glasses. The glasses themselves took me a little getting used to. They are fairly light, being only 2 ounces more than the glasses I wear when I do not have my contacts in. However, I do not normally like thick, dark-colored frames, as they are harder for me to ignore in my peripheral vision. My vision-glasses have a thin wire frame in a rose-gold color that I generally have to focus on to see. These plastic frame glasses are visible in my peripheral vision as long as I am aware of it. Once focused on something else, they don't bother me, but I would prefer a thin, wire or metal frame. They also fit me perfectly, but there no adjustments on these. The frame rests at the top of my nose (no pads) and the ear pieces (I am calling them "arms" in this case) have very little flex beyond their most open position. I am an average size (but a bit short) female, but for a larger person, these might be a little tight. The style (frame shape, etc) is not at all my preference, but as styles change through the years, we are just in a trend that I don't favor. I prefer oval or rectangle. As far as the performance of these glasses, I think they do help. It's hard to measure the effectiveness, but as I did experience a difference after several hours of computer usage, I believe these glasses can make a difference, mostly because I feel that my eyes were not as strained, and given the amount of time I spend in front of a computer, it's worth it to me.

A few years ago, I purchased my first pair of blue light glasses. They look like sunglasses from the 70’s with their amber tint. They are also huge and my adult son couldn’t stop laughing when he saw me wear them. But they do work. The Felix Gray glasses are normal size and do not have a noticeable amber tint. They also came with a great hard case and a cloth pad. I would have preferred some bright color choices for a little fun but at least my son doesn’t laugh at them. Functionally, they work great. Allow a few days for your eyes to adjust. Felix Gray does not have magnifying in their lenses as some competitors do (although you can order prescription glasses). My other pair does and I really don’t prefer either way. These glasses really do help reduce eye strain. Felix Gray lenses filter 50% of all and almost 90% of the most impactful ranges of Blue Light, while eliminating 99% of glare with the double-sided anti-glare coating. Excellent choice to help reduce blue light and work great with computer screens, tablets and even cell phones. NOTE: I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review.

Blue Block coating works for me, maybe for you too

I received the Felix Gray – Roebling Blue Light Glasses yesterday. They came with a nice felt lined hard case and a good quality Unity cloth. Last week I picked up my new prescription glasses with a blue light coating. The day after using them, I noticed I didn’t have that ache in the forehead between my eyes. So, I know that the Felix Gray glasses are regular lenses with a coating, and I put my old prescription glasses over the top of these and proceeded to try them out. I played a few games, read, and replied to emails, and scrolled through Twitter and Facebook. I probably spent 3-4 hours looking at two 27” monitors. The following morning, no headache. So, for me, blue blockers work. I always have that headache in the center of my forehead, but not in the last week. Since these don’t have my script, I can’t use them for reading or computer work, but for playing some PC games, I think they would work great. I don’t mind a bit of blurry vision if the moving parts are large enough. I like that these Felix Gray’s give me options. I know that the jury is out on whether these coatings are just a gimmick or if they work, but like I stated, they seem to help me. If you get headaches after viewing monitors for several hours, I’d recommend you try a pair. Maybe like me, they’ll help you. Lastly, it would be great if there were prescription clip or magnetic lenses available.

These blue light glasses are an absolute must-have --- and not just for us computer, techie professionals. They make a huge difference; its not just the headaches that come from staring at screens for extended periods of time (though this is the primary reason for their necessity I'd say), but also for the drowsiness and eye fatigue I typically get from a lot of screen time. These also came with a cleaning cloth and case which is helpful for quick cleaning and stuffing my glasses in my purse until I need them. My only con if I were to address one would be that I just would like if the frames came in different styles ---- I like the more linear, boxy looking eyeglass frames. Nonetheless, this has no change on the effectiveness of the glasses so no huge deal there. Whomever reads this, please know....blue light glasses are not a luxury item; with the insane about of screen time we are all subject to nowadays, these are essential for our longterm eye care. Highly recommend the investment.
