I learned it is hyper directional for the mic. So you can have a tv on or room noise and it will not pick it up.

It works very well the ONLY complaint I have is that I wish it had a way to filter out background noise. :-( Outside of that issue I would totally recommend this to anyone looking.

Also, we are getting a weird sound distortion from the recordings with this mic, not sure if it's a settings issue or what but there's very little information in the instructions on how to calibrate it properly.
