The Filtrete Air Purifier is the perfect companion appliance for any small to medium room you may want cleaner air. It has a small footprint so it can easily be placed in a convenient location so that it is not in the way. Overall aesthetic design is nice but nothing fancy. The digital display with touch sensitive buttons is a welcomed bonus for the price point of this device. The controls are easy to understand and work very well. Setup is very easy, plug in the purifier, download the app, power on, and select your preferences... easy as 1,2,3. It is extremely quiet even at the highest setting. The app is very user friendly and works as a remote control when you do not want to get up LOL. I have it setup in my master bedroom and it does an admirable job of maintaining clean air in the room. I set the schedule timer so that the purifier turns off after a certain amount of time to save energy and the life of the filter. It is a comfort to know that a little added protection and cleaner air is produced in a room where we sleep and spend time with our baby a lot of time. Definitely a worthwhile purchase for the home.

Really smart SMART effective Air Purifier

With many brands and models of air purifiers, the buy decision wil usually be made based on unique features and somewhat on pricing. The Filtrete Smart Room Air Purifier for medium sized rooms (up to 150 Sq. Feet) has unique features and competitive pricing. It uses a laser sensor to detect the amount of particulate matter (as small as .3 microns) and provides a numerical number both on the top of the Purifier display, and to an application that is easily loaded onto most any smart phone, tablet, etc. The app permits monitoring and settings action to be received and taken from anywhere on the planet that provides access to the internet. Since the app works Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, voice control is available. The UNIQUE air quality number enable air quality trend to be easily detected. The number is either rising (not favorable), e.g. from 5 to 10 or to 23, or whatever, or it is falling ( this is favorable) A number alone might be hard to use as an assessment of air quality, and that is why this purifier provides a colored light indicator on its display (and app). You don't have to guess if 28 is good, fair, poor, severe, etc. The color code of green, orange, red, etc. provides that information at a glance. The HEPA filter is rated 99.97% effective at filtering matter down to .3 microns. It has a large surface area and is easily changed in under 1 minute as access is simple and does not require much effort and certainly zero tools. The purifier's filter is monitored and supposed to last 12 months with 6 hrs of usage per day. The purifier tracks and provides status on its display and app always revealing amount of usage remaining before the filter needs to be changed. This filter monitoring is not simply a day counter that shows filter change needed after a factory determined number of days. It is a smart filter and uses sensing status that tracks the air quality sensors. If air quality is poor, the filter will have to be changes more frequently than if it were fair, or good. As for other smart controls, the fan speed may be selected (4 settings), or set to automatic. The latter enables the fan speed to self adjust based on the measured air quality. This is a top notch smart feature. The purifier is ultra quiet, has a small footprint, the cabinet has an attractive appearance, and is easily transported by the built in gripping handholds. I enthusiastically recommend this purifier.

The Filtrete 150 sq. ft. smart air purifier is great for my teenager's bedroom or any medium-size room. It's easy to set up and get running. It's ready to go out of the box, just plug it in and turn it on. The control panel is easy to work, understand and read. The panel lights up to easily read the settings. Fan control allows you to set the speed or set it on auto and let it adjust itself to the air quality. You can set a timer if you don't want to run it 24 hrs. The filter monitor is a very nice feature that lets you know when the filter needs to be replaced. No guessing or keeping track of dates. There is the convenience of being able to turn the panel light off when not needed such as overnight when sleeping. I have it set to automatic and have been running it around the clock. It is an energy star product and the fan is quiet enough that it does not interfere with sleeping. My teenager has allergies. This air purifier in his room gives me peace of mind knowing that the air he is breathing is being filtered through a HEPA filter and capturing 99.97% of airborne particles. The smart app lets me monitor the purifier from anywhere and receive alerts or tips to help maintain the clean air. Setting up the app was not as simple as following the steps, though it wasn't terribly difficult either. The app tells you to find a 6 digit code located above the filter behind the front panel and then asks for a 4 digit pin with 2 suggested pin codes, neither of which actually work. The actual number needed for connecting is the 6 digit code. While the app is convenient, I do wish it would allow the option to control the purifier via app and voice. The only control I have is to turn the device on and off. I would like to be able to use voice to control the fan speed, timer, and light. I use Google Home, so cannot say whether Alexa has different options. I would certainly recommend this Filtrete smart air purifier.

I have horrible allergies and this purifier arrived at the peak of allergy season. Setup was a breeze! Literally, it turned on high as soon as I plugged it in. One button press on the unit got it into setup mode and the app found the unit. It seems to be doing a good job so far. Air enters both sides (pulling from multiple directions) and shoots out the top to really keep the air circulating in the room. The fan is strong but quiet. In auto mode, it decides how fast it needs to run based on the air quality. I have played around with it to see how well it detects things. If I open my windows or cook something pretty strong, the unit knows that the air quality has changed and it speeds up. The color-changing light on the front is an easy way to know the current air quality. If I open the app, I can also see a graph of the quality over time. Additionally, I can control the unit via my phone or smart speaker. While I just leave it in auto mode most of the time, it is nice to be able to easily turn it off if I open the windows (outside of testing). One of the best features of this purifier is the cost of the replacement filter. At the current price of $20, I can actually afford to change the filter. I have learned the hard way that some purifiers are cheap upfront, but the replacement filters are outrageously priced. Thankfully Filtrete has taken a much more sensible approach. I am really happy so far and look forward to having clean air in my apartment.

The 3M Filtrete is a great HEPA air cleaner. It has a clean, attractive yet unobtrusive design with a dimmable display. It has multiple speeds for handling small to large amounts of air impurities and also an auto mode that is superb. Noise level performance is fine, allowing for conversations even in close quarters. It compares well across industry standards such as CADR (clean air delivery rate). 3M has been making industrial and residential filter systems for years and this experience shows. Power consumption is low. Set up was very fast and simple. The mobile app works great and provides a lot of functionality and information.

I was a bit apprehensive about this product, as I have tried others before without any real success. But, I have to say this product is as advertised. I live in an area with high pollen and dust and really wanted to have an in home air purifier that would really work. This one does. It is in my living room where all of the activity of the day is. People in and out and two dogs in and out. Set up is simple, plug it in, power it up and download the app. Really that simple. Once the app was downloaded and set up I set it to automatic (Recommended) and let it do its thing. I got a nice green light telling me my air quality was good. My dogs came in, started playing pretty rough, and the light went to red telling me the air quality was poor. No doubt, the dogs are big and kick up a lot of dust. After about 2-4 minutes I got a notification on my phone that my air quality was once again good. I looked at the light on the device and sure enough, it was glowing green. The unit is compact and very quiet. When the air quality goes down the fan goes up and it is a little noisier, but not enough to be real noticeable. Most of the time I don't even notice it is on. Recommended highly, if it can work in the environment I'm in it will work just about anywhere.

I havent put much thought into using air filtration systems in rooms as I never wanted to deal with replacing filters every few months. This allergy season (2021) has been particularly bad in the North East which made us want ro keep our windows shut on even the nicest breezy days. The house always smells so good when you push the stale air out with a fresh breeze, but at the cost of pollen. It seems like our allergies are worse when we are going 2 sleep. Sometimes we wake up with sneezing attacks. We've used this air filter for over 3weeks now and noticed the air in our master bedroom is fresh even though the windows haven't been opened in close to a month. Even with sporadic use of a humidifier (the air quality readings definitely spikes when we run that!). We don't have sneezing attacks in the middle of the night nor do we have itchy eyes or overly runny noses! This right here is worth the cost of filters for us. There is a digital screen at the top of the unit that will show us air quality readings and filter life (almost running 4 wks 24/7 on low and the filter is at 76% useful life remaining). $20.00 for the filter isn't the cheapest, but after allergy season is over hopefully we won't have to run this continuously possibly extending the life of the filter. Maybe only run it while we sleep. Speaking of sleep. The low hum creates a white noise which drowns out early birds and on occasion my alarm which is set on low as to not wake my better half when I get up before the sun comes up. So far as of now I am not sure how much this will cut down on dust over the long term, but if it does them this unit is a home run. The smart features are definitely convenient since this unit does not have a remote. The app will control all of the units functions and makes adjustments to the unit as well as viewing readings. Very convenient while in bed. I can even monitor the air quality in my room remotely. I never thought I would even care about that but it's nice to know I can. I can definitely recommend this air filter to anyone looking to improve air quality in their home and already have to my brother who will be having their first child in their newly built home.

Filtrete filter has a good reputation and this product lives up to that name with one flaw, the wifi. It worked fine out of the box for about 2 weeks. Now it can’t connect to the app no matter what you do. I tried everything, removing it from app and reconnecting, unplugging and even resetting my router. All a waste of time and money. For the price you pay on these units you would think they smart capability would be better.
