Awesome!! Works well the app is really informative and super easy to control

So I was really hoping this air purifier would work out, but its noisy even at the lowest setting.. sounds like the ball bearings in the motor with a very low whining apart from the fan noise. The wifi would specifically go out around 3pm then come back on around 5pm for a week straight!?? maybe it was their servers updating things, but it made the app/connection unreliable so i went with another brand Levoit model 400s. Very pleased, near silent on lowest and app works 100% of the time.

The Filtrete purifier appears to be working properly, but I can't say I've noticed higher quality air in our house. The process of down loading the Filtrete ap on my phone and setting up it's WIFi was complicated.

My wife has really bad seasonal allergies, and this in the bedroom has helped her to sleep much better at night. I thought it was going to be a waste, but it really has helped her.

Does the job, reasonably quiet. I downloaded the app and it does work, but I don't really see the need for the app. Just as easy to walk over and press a button.

I like the quietness of the unit. Also the ability to dim and completely turn off the display light is a plus for those who want it to be dark at night.

I think the main feature I like and dislike about this air filter is the fan, it blows straight up… so I love it in my living room/ kitchen but I would never put it in my bedroom because I love having air blow my direction when I am sleeping. But I love that it blows straight up for the living room where the only time I might want a fan is on a really hot day in the summer. Now to the stuff that might actually matter to 95% of people that read this review… This is a connected air filter so if you are looking for the benefits of connected then this is an awesome choice. If not, then this can be run manually too but you do loose some of the benefits like having the link to the replacement filter built into the app, outside air quality, remote control, remote monitoring, and pollutant information. I found this last one interesting as I have never really thought about pollutant types but knowing more information about the type of pollutant it is dealing with might help you decide if more investigation is warranted. For instance if it is always picking up PM10 which is stuff like sand or mold and you know sand isn’t an issue… you might want to get a mold inspections. With the air purifier being next to the kitchen there is an uptick in pollutants whenever I cook, which we have natural gas so this does make sense (also, I'm not always the best cook) and it is nice to know that those pollutants are being whisked away in a timely manner now. The app allows you to set the fan speed to Auto and 1-4, a timer, and the brightness of the LED display (including setting it to off). In the living room I tend to keep the air purifier on auto and just let it do its thing. After last summer’s smoke I decided I would try to get air purification devices through the house as even with our central HVAC the air wasn’t quite as clean as I would like it to be. I love the room size this one can handle (310sq ft.) for the actual size of the device. It is small can be placed out of the way and kind of forgotten about especially when it is just on auto. Over all I would recommend this device especially if you are looking for a connected one as this supports Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT which should be good for a majority of people. Pros: - Size of device - Connectivity (smart) - Easy filter re-ordering - Useful information on pollutants - Outdoor air quality - Air blows upward Cons: - Air blows upward (Yep I realize this was a pro too, you decide where you actually want it to belong for me it depends on the room)

A little difficult setting up, but once up it works excellent. We keep it on auto and it adjusts when necessary.

You really are not aware how bad your inside air can be and how your own choices impact it until you have one of these!

The only down side of this unit is that it is a little loud, even on its lowest setting. First, this filter is LARGE. It is approximately 2-1/2 feet tall. Since it features WiFi, the Android app allows easy control, even while away from home (there is also an iPhone app that I didn’t try). You can also access the current air quality as monitored by the filter, which is also displayed on the top of the unit. The great thing about this (unlike some other filter brands) is that there is no DRM on the filters. You can easily reset the counter and continue using the old filter while the unit believes it to be new. This is great if you only want it to reduce dust and don’t particularly care about allergens. The replacement filters are also just standard square filters from 3M, so they are not outrageously priced. There are even two washable pre-filters on the sides. I had hoped that since this was designed to filter a lot of air, I could leave it on its lowest setting and still get decent flow while having it be nearly inaudible. However, it is still very clearly audible on low, and gets downright loud at its highest setting. It can also automatically adjust the fan speed based on the detected air quality. Another feature is the timer that allows automatic shut-off. While this is a nice touch, it would be a LOT nicer if you could actually set a schedule. I would love to have to have the unit turn itself on at midnight and off again in the morning, but I can only hope for this in a future firmware update. TLDR: Great air filter, if a bit noisy.

Overall this is a great air purifier I just wish that when it hit zero it would turn off.

After trying two units, I finally gave up on this brand. The first couple of days, the only thing you hear is the wind blowing from the top. After that, you will begin to hear a loud high pitch sound coming from the bimotor or at the bottom. It is specially noticeable at night. I was initially excited about having this thing on while I slept as a sort of white noise machine but that awful motor sound made it impossible to sleep to the point where I just had to turn the unit off completely. Definitely not something you want to have on while you’re around.

Fantastic purifier; does job well of washing air!!!

First off it is large. I use it for a bedroom as it is shared with my dog and this thing is MAGIC in keeping the air quality fresh. I want to start with talking about the app. It is easy to use and works well with my google home. I love how it shows you the modes (auto is my go to mode) shows things like air quality inside and also at the location you live in. Maintaining it is so simple too. 6mo change the hepa filter and monthly just clean the small filters which is very easy to do (I have not done that yet but they are easy to take off and clean). Noise… If your wife puts hairspray on this little air purifier will let you know right away lol. So it’s not noisy unless it goes full blast due to impurities in the air which is what we want. Looks slick and is easy to use with a great app! Bravo.

In the age of the Pandemic we are in, I made it a goal to have the best quality and filtered air in my house, the Filtrete Smart Air Purifier helps me to achieve this goal. Setup is easy, connecting to Wifi and just getting the unit up and runing is a breeze (pun intended). The companion App is super easy to use and configure. Having an intuitive app is key and this one delivers in spades. This is a HEPA filter and monitors the air quality in the room you are using it in, I was thrilled at how depending upon what was going on, ie cooking etc, the quality would go down and then be corrected over time by the Filtrete Smart Air Purifier. The HEPA filter itself is easily replaced when needed. At higher speeds its a bit noisy but not distractingly so. Overall, if you are looking to improve the quality of the air you and your family breathes, i wouldnt hesitate to get the Filtrete Smart Air Purifier.

First time owning a smart air purifier and I must say I am thrilled. We placed it in our living room and set the fan in Auto as recommended as the purifier will automatically adjust the fan speed when it detects bad air quality. Setting it up was a breeze- just plug it in, download the app and follow the instructions on the app to connect it with your wifi as well as bluetooth on your phone. We have also connected the air purifier within our Google Home network and it works seamlessly. I love how the purifier’s fan runs in the background, you can hear it but it’s not loud. The sound of the breeze is kinda soothing, it’s quieter than our central air. At the fastest fan level, you can definitely hear the machine working at full blast. We usually set it at the highest when we are cleaning/dusting the house. I can attest it works because prior to having this unit, I sneeze non-stop every time we dust our furniture and blinds, and vacuum our area rugs. With this unit, I didn’t have these sneeze spells! I also suffer from seasonal allergies and I think this air purfier helped in minimizing the allergens in our home because since installing this machine, my symptoms have decreased. The most innovative feature for me is the automatic detection of air quality. So far, the light indicator have always been green which indicates good air quality. But I can see the number changes from time to time whenever we do things inside the house. As for the Filtrete Smart app, I can say it is well made and easy to navigate. It displays your indoor air quality level, as well as outside based on your location. It also shows the current level of pollutants and filter life. You can also set the timer and fan speed through the app which is very convenient especially when your several steps away from the purifier. I am not sure how long the filter will last but with the app, I am not too worried as I can always check when it’s time to buy a new one. Overall, I am very satisfied with and highly recomend this innovative product. This unit gives me the confidence that the air my family breathes in is clean which is really important during a pandemic. I think the price is worth it.
