I am currently using this Filtrate True Hepa Air Purifier in my teenage sons bedroom. He suffers from allergies and we are hoping this will help cut down on the dust and pet dander of our two dogs. It was very easy to set up and is not very fancy - which is perfect for my son. I checked into the price of replacement filters and they are about $20 - $23 a piece. The machine will tell you when it needs to be changed. It has three fan settings and is non intrusive.

It works very well. Been running non-stop for a week now and pulling the filter shows that it's working (even if it's only for a week) The build quality is very good and this should be around for a good while. Styling is what you would expect in 2022 and while I would liked an app to help remind filter changes, I understand that is cost prohibitive. The noise level can be controlled by 3 fan levels with off being the first position. There's also a handy reset switch for changing filters. The filters are the most interesting part on this I think. They are offered at 3 different filtration levels. Level 1: dust and pollen. Level 2: allergens and non-viral protection. Level 3: virus filtration. You choose the level of filtration by what level of filter you buy. Pretty clever. Pay for what you need. It's a different approach from the units that just filter everything by default and charge accordingly.

Being that we have a larger air purifier in our living room, we wanted something smaller for our bedroom. The Filtrete™ Air Purifier is perfect for a bedroom or any small room. With COVID bringing much more awareness to the importance of air quality and health, we have done everything possible to keep the air clean around our home, especially when we have guests. Although the 3MFiltrete™ Air Purifier does not come with the appropriate filter for bacteria and virus, there is one available. One thing that I love about the Filtrete™ Air Purifier is that it is so compact, as saving space is important. The Filtrete™ Air Purifier is small enough to place on top of a desk or small table. Just plug in and you are pretty much ready for clean air. I would definitely recommend the 3M Filtrete™ Air Purifier to anyone!

Nice and compact air purifier. It was just unbox and plug in. There is 3 different speeds and dots to show the filter life. It just came with an allergen filter but you can get one to filter the germs in the air. I like it except wish it covered a little larger space. Also wish there was an app available to control it. Otherwise it is perfect for a small room or in my case my office.

We got this for use in our bedroom as recently there had been an odd smell and we would wake with our noses all stuffed up. After 3 nights weve noticed a vast improvement, no more odd smell and no more stuffy noses. I'm curious to see how long the filter lasts but it does a great job in a small room ! Then again, I've yet to find a 3m filtrete product that didn't work well!

I have always had mediocre results from air filtration devices, filters, etc. Most of the time, the overwhelming majority of devices designed for the home have succeeded at filtering out dust, and that’s about it. This unit changed my view of air filtration. I have seasonal allergies, and the periodic “false spring” occurrences put them into full swing. During the latest of these beautiful sinus-assaults, I fired up the purifier in the living room. A few hours later, the sniffles and sneezing disappeared. For whatever reason, we turned it off, and later that day (after several trips in and out of the house), the sniffles were back. Turned it in again. A couple hours later, gone. The unit is very quiet. As it sits only eight feet away, on the lowest setting, we can’t hear it unless we listen very intently. On the highest setting, its fan is pretty unobtrusive, and with music or a TV on, it still isn’t a problem. A nifty feature is the vent placement: the unit can be on the floor, and it still works perfectly, not trying to vacuum the floor it sits on.

My plan for this unit was to use in our home gym. On the surface this unit checks all the boxes I wanted in an air filter for the gym... its small, it's compact, it's not supposed to be noisy... But upon unboxing the unit, it's missing what I think are the two most important features of an air filter: 1) The unit requires manually powering on and off 2) The unit can't auto-adjust the speed of the fans. I could live with the first problem if the second problem didn't also exist. It's the year 2022 and we are living in the age of the Smart Home. I think any product coming to market these days should be smarter than previous generations of products. 3M seems to have focused their efforts on making the filters more effective at catching pollutants but in the process sacrificing the convenance of never having to think about the unit except when it's time to change the air filters. The lack of Auto-sensing that the room needs more filtration is a huge over-site and results in me having to walk in the room, take a big whiff, being disgusted, and then bumping up the output manually. Another gap is the lack of any type of automation around filter changes. These units can't be effective without keeping fresh filters in them, yet the unit offers nothing to alert that it is time to change the filter.

Works very well to freshen up a room in a small compact package. Setup is extremely easy and it is ready to go right out of the box. There is no completed settings are confusing displays. Just set the device to either low, medium or large and it does a great job of moving and freshen the air. I have a room that is frequently the hang out for our four cats and one dog. I can tell a big difference in the air quality and the room smells much better over the past several days. Even on the high setting the unit is fairly quite and moves a large volume of air for it's size. The filter is easy to get to when it comes time to replace and the cost is economical compared to much bulker units. You can barely even tell it is in the room and the black color fits in well with most room décor.

The 3m air purifier works wonderfully in my home office. I have been running out for the past week. I have noticed less sneezing and more fresh air all around. Really impressed with how quite the unit is when in use

This works very well. Runs quiet and has greatly improved the air quality in the room. This device is much bigger than it looks on the box. If you're putting this in a small room, it will take up a lot of space.
