Worthy sequal, moogles and all

If you're here to have a good time you'll have a good time. Is there a lot of filler? Kinda. But most of it is either optional or involves the combat ... which is arguably the best JRPG combat system ever created. So ... good. I'm happy for the 'filler', cause it's a good excuse to fiddle around with the combat. For the newbies ... definitely, definitely, do not start with this game. I've been seeing that from quite a few people, and it baffles me. Nothing will make sense to you. 1) FF7R is a great game and found perfectly cheaply, just go play that. 2) Even FF7R isn't great at telling its story for new players. This is NOT a straightforward retelling of FF7. There are meta-aspects of what it's doing that will confound you if you don't have the context of having played the original. So either play that, or play Remake and read a wikipedia synopsis of its plot.

Loved this game on PS5 & previos PS systems.
