I didn't like FF7 back on the playstation 1 too much. The music was great and I loved Midgar but once you left there it just became a bit aimless. Well Good news! Cause this game never leaves Midgar! FF7 Remake brings to life the best part of the game again and somehow makes it better. That combat system? Is probably one of 2020s best new systems.

Excellent game, taking my time and exploring area's. The graphics are good and combat once used to it is awesome. Materia system is pretty cool with placing them in weapon slots. You can buy weapons in shops for Cloud. Gonna play this game through at least two times to get all the Trophies. Can't wait for the next episode to come out and hopefully it'll will be 40-60 hours.

You guys already know the music for Final Fantasy was going to be on point. I really like the action-RPG battle system of this game. Sometimes the camera can get you pinned and confused in the corner but it is not too common. Fun game. Great story. Difficult bosses. I had a great time after never playing the original, even though I was old enough when it dropped.

I would have to say I actually enjoy (which others actually have indicated they don't like) is the battle system. It's a sort of hybrid fighting system incorporating tactics from older games and newer games. What I love most are the graphics. It's just simply beautiful and it's an excellent getaway which is really needed these days. Hope this helps someone. :)

Game of all time! Best JRPG game I have ever played! Great Story line and characters. Characters from FFVII remake are more in depth from the original FFVII. Non main characters in the game had more background in this version. The developers came up with a great and new combat system. Music kept you engaged the whole time in the game. Recommended game to play.

Thankfully this is able to be played on the PS5 without any issues. High recommend you pick this version up to play on PS5 while you can get it for a bit cheaper. Future PS5 games will only be PS5 compatible so got to save money where you can!

Very happy I decided to pick this up after months of debate. Played through the original PS Classic numerous times and have watched Advent Children countless times as well. This is the icing on the cake, every little nuance and reference to the original as well as the new world and story building. Recommend to any who is a fan of the original!

Was hesitant to get excited but this has exceeded my expectations. I have very vague memories of playing the original when I was real young so I don't remember the finer points of the story, but apparently they changed a few if you really care about that sort of thing. The combat is great, and the graphics are stunning aside from a few texture issues.

Truly an epic game and love the time that went into this. Great graphics, a bit on the cheesy side at times but a great story nonetheless. First game I played as a child on PlayStation, really just ran around cause I was maybe 8 years old... but awesome to be able to play and be back in the story... release the other portions of the game now!!!!

I had the original on PS1 but I never finished it. This isn't the whole game but what they've done is really stretch out the begining area of the game. The game looks beautiful and the voice acting is terrific. I also really like the battle system. This is one of the best RPGs I've ever played and I've played quite a few.

Despite being only 1/3 of the original game, I still enjoy since it brought back memories of playing it when I was a kid. The combat for is surprisingly good which was one of the things I didn't about FF XV. I'd recommend this game to anyone who's a fan of the original or if you have never played it, you won't be disappointed.

This game was so much fun and the story was even more compelling than the original. It had all of the emotional beats I was looking for and the back half of the game nearly had me in tears. As far as gameplay, it took what they had in XV and improved upon it. Great mix of action and strategy. Will remain one of my top five games of all time!

I am a long time Final Fantasy fan. I had been anxiously waiting for this new re-make one for long time. And finally got the game from Best Buy and played it on my 75" TV. The graphic and sounds are awesome! And, I really like the story and it blew it my mind~ Definitely recommend this one to anybody who loves Final Fantasy series~!

This game is absolutely amazing. The graphics are stunning, the story and the characters are developed perfectly. This really shouldn't be called a Remake however, it should be Reinvented. One of my biggest issues with the original was how little Midgard was explored, this game is what we all dreamed the original should have been.

Gorgeous graphics, incredible music as always, and an incredible amount of content to go through make this one of the best PS4 games of 2020. While it definitely makes some references to the classic on PS1, it's still great for people that want to jump in with the remake, knowing that this story has just begun.

I could never get into FF7, I was a super-fan of FF2 and FF3 on SNES but missed the boat on the OG Playstation. By the time I got a copy it never jived with me. The remake though is fantastic. I really like how they filled out the story of Midgar, gameplay is well thought-out, and I'm already eager for the next one.

This game is gorgeous. Since it’s only Midgar you are still missing so much from the rest of the world but they really flesh out the world in a way that was not possible in the original. And the battle system is significantly better that FFXV with much greater control of the characters.( Though I wish Cloud could jump)

Absolutely amazing. This was my game of the year for 2020, and there was plenty of competition for that title. Game was so enjoyable the entire way through. Music, story and characters were just incredible. If you have not played a final fantasy, please purchase this and dont miss out.

I'm playing this game at the same time as a friend of mine, I've played the original game three times through, and he's never played the original, and it's been fun to compare our notes, but the main point is that we're both having a blast. The combat system is a strategic action RPG (think of a Dragon Age or Baldur's Gate that's real time action with a pausing mechanic to queue up special abilities, but the real time action is more on the action end with dodging and blocking and real time attacks and parries. It's a fantastic system that's proven deep the further I get in (about 14 hours so far). I think a big hurdle for some people will be accepting this game as the first part of a multi part trilogy. I do think Square Enix marketing has dropped the ball in communication on that front, but I'm not going to fault the game for people's expectations. As far as action RPGs go with a massive budget, you could do a lot worse than this! Last point the arrangements of the old themes are fantastic, some of the new original tunes are lacking, but honestly the soundtrack's been fantastic so far.

Final Fantasy VII is one of the best video games of all time, and this remake brings it to modern day with such a beautiful makeover graphically as well as gameplay! I literally got goosebumps from the intro alone. Lots to enjoy here. The story, the graphics, and the gameplay will keep you absolutely hooked for days!
