When this game was originally released on the ps2 I thought it would be fun but I got bogged down by how slow it was. Fast forward to the new zodiac age and let me tell you the "fast forward" option is a life saver for this game. I finally got to enjoy a good story without being bogged down by slow gameplay. Definitely recommend this version.

The game has been refreshed and updated for the PS4 and graphically is better, but isn't drastically different than the original.

I’m very pleased to be able to experience this gem of a game. I had originally rented it when it came out but was too bogged down to appreciate how deep and different this final fantasy is. It reminds me of the most recent FF on a design and open world level with hunts, but retains some systems seen in 13 and in their online. Truly a game not to pass up!

I played first few hours of this game on my PS2 back in 2006. However after playing it for few hours the console died and I moved on to Xbox 360, so I never got chance to finish it. The game was remade last year with HD update. I am playing it on PS4 Pro and it looks pretty for a 12 year old game. I however think that the gameplay might be little too old for new comers to FF franchise. The load times are bit long between some cutscences, but overall it's a great experience. I was able to pick up the game for $15 from BB.
