From someone who has spent hundreds of hours on Final Fantasy games, and it is also my favorite game series. I can say that this game is definitely a 5 star game. I will tell you a quick overview without trying to give any spoilers. I believe that they did an amazing job with the characters and how they talk naturally with each other and the combat as a team is pretty good to. There are times that you will have some filler missions, but that is to be expected. In the end this game did exactly what it needed to do and that's give me emotions for the story. FFX is still my favorite, but this one is not to far behind.

I've just ventured into chapter six, and I'm loving the game so far! I don't much care for the main character Noctis to this point, but the other characters have great personalities and really help to make the game fun. The graphics are stunning, but my favorite part is definitely being able to run around on chocobo's! A great game for any Final Fantasy nut like myself, or those just getting introduced to the franchise. The steelbook artwork is beautiful, and Kingsglaive is included as well. (Word to the wise -- either watch Kingsglaive before you play the game, or before you enter chapter two!)

It's been a long time in the making, but FFXV is finally here. I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out. It's still an updated type of FF but with better connection to older games in the FF line than the FF-13 series. Beautiful, solid mechanics, lots of storyline.

I am a long time Final Fantasy fan, playing the first one as a child on the original NES. At the time of this first impressions, I have nearly 30 hours in the game and have only advanced through Chapter 3, but that is mainly me having to do as many side quests as possible. Even though the story is a little hard to see where it is going at times, it has still kept me captivated more than any game this year. One of my favorite parts has to be the combat, simple in design, very fluid, but to optimize things there are a lot of little details to pay attention to. By far this is my own GOTY of 2016.

This game has a really great story and the movie that comes with it was cool too.

Great for Final Fantasy newcomers and veterans. One of the best entries in the series. Huge open world full of many things to do. The game never gets boring.

As an avid gamer and life long Final Fantasy enthusiast I was very excited, and nervous for this game. Given the length of development with so many changes I expected this to be mediocre. This was compounded by the lackluster XIII series. I'm only a few hours in and so far I am really enjoying the game... although it doesn't feel very Final Fantasy yet (hence 4 instead of 5 stars). So far oddly enough, it feels more Metal Gear Solid V for the open world nature of the game and the fact that the first part of the game starts in the desert. As far as the Deluxe version goes, the packaging is fantastic. I was able to get a copy of the Ultimate Collector's Edition on Xbox One from SE and this steelbook is way better than the two that came with the $280 version. :/ If you are a fan of open world or fantasy games this may be a game to try. I like it and love this particular version as a collector.

Love the story as well as the characters in the game. It has some substantial content. Would definitely be excited to see more content in the future.

I bought this version so that I could have the game and movie in a steel book; and the steel book is NICE. The entire package is well worth the extra cash, especially if you have GCU. The movie is good, better than I expected. The action sequences are my favorite parts. The story is OK and adds to the game. As for the gameplay, it is gorgeous. Combat is something to get used to, though. I'm a huge fan of FFX, which has turn-based combat, and FFXV's combat system is definitely more challenging; however, I believe that is what makes FFXV fun and engaging.

The movie was great and game is even better. Great graphics and even better story line. Get ready to explore the fantasy world like never before.

Smooth combat, great music, lots of stuff to do, interesting story and side quests and such a beautiful world that feels alive and vibrate.

Game is simple to play and has an easy story to follow! Extremely fun, especially if it is your first time playing a Final Fantasy Game.

So far this game has totally met my expectations. The game is a more open compared to last game and I love the revamped battle system.

I have been playing Final Fantasy games since the first iteration and this might be the best one yet. Very enjoyable and complex story that has twists and turns to keep you engaged and plenty of side quests to keep the fun going.

BEST FINAL FANTASY GAME IN A LONG TIME STILL MISS THE TURN BASED BATTLES BUT THIS ONE IS VERY FUN AND LOTS TO DO AND GREAT STORY.

This game brings the Final Fantasy series to new generations in a great package. Love the combat, story, and 4 main characters.

This game is amazing from the characters to visuals and battle system. The only part that at time is a let down is the story.

The eye is in the details. I haven't beat the game yet because I want to savor every moment. Buy the guide and do the quests!

After a year wait it finally came out. The story and battle system are great. This is a must for anyone that likes JRPGs!
