In love the gameplay and the story. A true Final Fantasy game for long time players and beginners. You will love the characters and develop a relationship with them. 50/10 recommend.

You can easily play this game for hours and lose track of time. With so many side quests within an open world environment, there are tons of hours of gameplay to be had!

Hours of gameplay in this enormous, visually stunning game. It's absolutely beautiful. Fans of the series should love this one. New story and cast adds to this wonderful franchise!!

I'd recommend watching Kingsglaive and the Final Fantasy: Brotherhood anime before playing to get a better idea of the story, the gameplay is awesome and some of the fights are epic

Despite the delay in release from the original announcement, this game was worth the wait. The story and gameplay are both good. This title lives up to the Final Fantasy Franchise.

Great story, style, gameplay, and graphics. Only knock but still a 5 star game is no co-op play online. Wished this game had it. Maybe next time but still an uber brilliant game...

I purchased this game before I bought a PS4 platform. I have no idea how the game is other than I’ve played ff7 and that’s the greatest game ever. Due to the hype and the rave reviews from both online and in person, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play it. So now I’m waiting on my console, but looking forward to how this game plays

In terms of the game its great and there is plenty to do so it'll be a time sink but well worth it. The combat is action based and has some rpg elements. Its not your usual turn-based game and some may even compare it to Kingdom Hearts which is somewhat accurate. The game is fun and the story is not bad as bad as many make it out to be. I recommend getting the base version over the royal edition simply because I personally find that the dlc doesn't add anything of worth and is just a waste of money. You aren't saving any space by buying that version either as its just the base game with a download code.

If you have a PS4, you must get this game. Great graphics.

I enjoy final fantasy games a great deal and this game was no diappointment. The open world and amazing graphics were a great touch to an amazing story. Can't wait for the DLC

Good game It's fun, however it does get boring at times.

I primarily bought this game for the story, having already watched Brotherhood and Kingsglaive. I honestly found the story in the game to feel a bit rushed and poorly explained. I can easily see people who haven't watched the movie or Brotherhood anime being pretty confused about what is going on, primarily at the beginning. I also didn't feel very emotionally invested in the secondary characters. Not much time was given outside of their camping and banter, to flesh out their backstories like in previous final fantasy games. This kept me from really feeling invested in the plot turns and the ending. Having said all of that, the game is a ton of fun and very well made. I enjoyed my time with it, I was just slightly disappointed since my main concern going in was the story.

This is a game that's been in development for a decade and the end result is kind of a garbled mess. But it's a good mess. You are in a group of best buds with great hair trying to save your kingdom and stay alive. All the familiar FF stuff is there (catuars, chocobos, crystals, literally all the songs, etc) but the gameplay is more open world and combat is active. It's obvious the game went through many changes and was rushed at the end, the story is incoherent, even if you've watched the movie, anime and read all the fan theories, but for something reason it works and is fun. That secret dungeon is also amazing.

I was among many who played my first FF game with FF VII. I then played VIII and IX before stopping altogether. JRPGs are long, have a lot of dialogue, and use to have turn-based fighting. It can be a grind to get through the entire game, although you feel a great accomplishment at the end and a real connection to the characters and stories. FF XV takes the best parts from its predecessors but also adds in more features that make it fast paced such as real-time combat. Luckily the character development and storyline is still worthy of the Final Fantasy franchise, and I would highly recommend this game to those on the fence.

Fans of the series will no doubt be familiar with the long development process for this game. It's amazing that after such a troubled development process the game would turn out as well as it has. The combat is engaging and just plain fun. The exploration, while somewhat limited, really brings me back to the old days of just wandering around in a game to see what I see. This game is pure enjoyment. It deserves 5 stars.

One of the best FF games I have played, it's has great graphics, gameplay, and story! I thought the new gameplay mechanics would be wonky but for the most part they are good.

The feel for the game is slightly different from its predecessors but the graphics, musicality, and game play feel is above par. Great addition to the final fantasy family.

The game and story are amazing so far. The characters are actually amazing, despite my initial reluctance. I can't get enough of the combat system either. The only complaint is the interface. It doesnt feel user friendly.

Really engaging gameplay, outstanding graphics, and well put together story compared to many other new games out there. Would recommend to anyone into RPGs or Action genres.
