I was kinda on the ropes about this game. Long development cycle, 4 male characters and the new fighting system... But I was so wrong, don't get me wrong I will always prefer the old turn based battle system from the older games but you gotta get used to new things. Watch the accompanying movie before you play this game, it'll make the experience better.

Oh how I wish we could go back to the good ol days of turn based but its 2018. Nonetheless I'm really enjoying this game and absolutely love the openness of the game; interacting with people and taking on side quests/hunts. I'm using the ps4 pro and I think I like the extra fps personally but the upgraded resolution is pretty amazing.

I had waited until this dropped to $20 but I honestly would've paid $50. This is a great game for fans of FFX and FFXII. The cutscenes and landscapes are beautiful, which is normal for any Final Fantasy game. I've put in hours and hours of time on this and I've hardly touched the main missions. This is one of my all time favorites now.

Just fair warning this review is based off the first couple hours of the game. This game has changed everything you know about the final fantasy series. It was worth the wait and changes. This game is basically a buddy cop / cross country adventure game set in familiar final fantasy locations with familiar characters. I'm so far enjoying it and plan to update this review as needed. I don't see anything changing at this point.

I have always been a final fantasy fan. And with this one, I didn't know if I would like it until I started playing it. It is sooo good!! I am eager to get about 30 hours in to see the meat and potatoes of the story. Thank you best buy. I bought this for 21.99 new because of a sale along woth my game club membership and a 5 dollar certificate.

This was a 10 year in the making game. Boy was it worth I it. If you like action, get it, if you like JRPGs, get it and if you like feeling your in a indie emo boy band, well this game was made for you. Seriously best game for me in 2016 and I play over 30-40 games a year, and it stood out the most, with story, gameplay and graphics all at a 10.

This is basically what you get when you cross a Japanese boy band with Final Fantasy and a modern open world game and I'm loving it. The story is a mess and the super long development time shows but I'm still having a ton of fun. If you want to understand what's going on you will need to watch the movie and the anime before you start playing.

Decent story line, little clunky though in presentation of it. Lack of number of dietys aka summons are a let down. Also, the way to summon them are a let down. Battles with the camera angles and clips are annoying as well. Overall, it's decent. Nothing like the previous final fantasy games. Graphics of the game are amazing. Beat of most ps4 games. Though content and playability needs polishing still. Just my opinion.
