This was the reason I bought s switch! Fire Emblem is my favorite series of all time and honestly I am overwhelmed with how amazing this game is. The story is great and I still don’t know everything about Fodlen after one route, but I’m sure to learn more from the other houses! The characters are well developed and supports are so much more meaningful than the 3DS titles. The world has more vibrancy from the upgrade to a console platform and the artstyle is gorgeous. The only complaint is that this game is so massive. I don’t know if I’ll ever get everything done, but I LOVE it! Specifically on the season of warefare edition, it’s perfect. The art book is stunning and the soundtrack is beautiful. I wish the album had more music however! Please buy this game! If you love rpgs or strategy this is a MUST buy! It’s my number 1 switch game. I’ve been hyped since it’s announcemwnt in 2017, so there was a lot to build up to. I am wholly satisfied. Thank you for this wonderful treasure Nintendo & intelligent systems!

By far one of the best special editions I have ever gotten. The artbook is incredibly beautiful! I love flipping through the pages. The CD has a lot of the best tracks from the game. The calendar is adorable and the steelbook is absolutely gorgeous! FE3H is by far the best FE game since Awakening and it is so much fun to play! If you have never played FE before experience it with this game! This game is I think not only for hard core FE fans, but for newcomers too! Highly recommended!

There are so many reviews of the game out there, but this is specifically for the limited "Warfare Edition" review.
I'm a newbie to Fire Emblem so this is my introduction to the franchise. If you're like me, this can be a great place to start playing. The boxset is not too flashy, all in black with gold lettering and accents. I was kind of surprised by the contents.
The artbook is a pretty solid sized coffee table style artbook (hardcover!), and the game itself comes in a gorgeous looking steelbook. The CD is an actual physical item, and not a download code, which is pretty awesome. While the cover does say "Sound Selection", it's not a simple sampler of 5 or 6 songs. This thing has 33 tracks of music in total. The calendar comes in a tiny black slipcase and is probably my favorite extra in this set. It's a wired desktop calendar, with game holidays & characters' birthdays included. It has some great character artwork on it.
This limited edition seems to be hard to find now, but is totally worth it. Both for long time fans & newcomers. :)

The game is a pretty fun strategy RPG with some anime dressing covering it. It is fairly easy though, if you're an SRPG fan I'd recommend playing on Hard mode instead of normal. You can change the difficulty down later, but not increase it.
It has a lot of replayability. 3 different hosues have different takes on the main story, and there's a new game+ mode to take some rewards through to the next playthrough. Also one house actually has a branching story so you'll want to play it twice!
It also has some online components, mostly scoreboard and trading with players. You can send soldiers to try to sell items or get exp and what not. NSO is required for those elements, but they are completely optional.
The add ons are nice. I always love a good music sound track. The artbook seems well made, and the steel case..is a steel case. I don't think i'll use the calendar though..

This is the first Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch and is also one of the few Fire Emblem games that I have completed. Usually I get really invested into a FE game and then fall off for whatever reason. What kept me going in this game is primarily the characters and secondly the story. I played as Blue Lions and I have no regrets in that choice, I love all the characters in that House. All of the support conversations are extremely well done, with great voice acting and made me love the characters.
There is a certain event that happens around halfway through the game that changes the story quite dramatically. That event and how it affected the characters kept me very invested in the game. Ultimately I feel like the game peaked at that point and slowly went downhill. Certain character's motivations for their actions didn't make any sense to me. Their reactions didn't make any sense at times either. I feel like the story would have been better if there was only 1 House to play as, instead of the ability to chose from 3 Houses. I have not played the other 2 houses (or the 4th secret story) yet, so I am curious to see how the story goes on those Houses.
The combat is classic Fire Emblem but I feel like it could be better. The Battalions are not that great in my opinion. You have to spend time leveling your Authority skill if you want to use the really good/strong Battalions. The only time I really used Battalions is when fighting monsters. I also feel like there are not enough classes in the game. It would have been a good idea to have a special class for each character, that would make each character more valuable. At the end you are going to end up with multiple characters as the same class and it just lessens the value of that character. There are many more classes in other FE games.
Ultimately this is a great FE game and definitely worth playing. Once the DLC is released I plan to go back and play the other Houses to see how things shake out with those characters.

It has both story and action. If you have ever played a Fire Emblem game then you know what you are going to get but it's even more. It has hours and hours of game play and is very replayable. It has multiple story possibilities depending on which house you choose. The animations aren't overly impressive and the difficulty isn't too difficult most missions, but that will change with the dlc. If you have the time for sure buy this because it will take 50-80 hours just for one house.

The game itself is what you would expect from fire emblem except this time on a console. The special edition comes with a very nice art book, cd, and calendar. It also has a special steelbook which is normal but it does not come with a regular case for the game. Usually these special editions will give you the normal case and a steelbook but this only has the steelbook. Also the box is likely to be damaged in the mail although I was lucky enough to get one in tact.

If you love strategy games with interesting characters, a gripping story with amazing music, then Fire Emblem is pretty much the series for you. The series hasn't been back on the big screen since the Wii which was released over a decade ago. They have introduced new mechanics which breaths more life into this traditional series for old fans and does a good job of easing you into what Fire Emblem is for new fans just picking up their first Fire Emblem game.
At its heart, It's a strategy series so don't expect any type of fast action. Fire Emblem of late hasn't strived to be extremely punishing unless you play on the hardest difficulty, so you can get to know your characters and familiarize yourself with the mechanics.
The music is pretty much the best it's ever been of all the entries and I can't help replay the songs in my head long after I put the game down. I can't stress enough how much I love the music of this game.
The story is suspenseful with lots of political intrigue and mystery that doesn't lay everything out on the table, which makes you keep going to figure things out. The climax will hit you hard and then it will not stop until you get to the ending. It's quite the step up from the 3DS games. However, The only gripe that I'll say that I have is that I'm not too much of a fan for silent protagonists but the story does carry and elevate him/her though.
As far as the gameplay goes, I suggest looking at the many YouTube videos available to get a sense of what it's ike but know that when you're in control of your characters as you lead them in battle, the feeling is much envigorating than watching someone else.

A Fine Collection for an Excellent Game

The Collector's Edition: Another cool treat for Fire Emblem fans! While nothing as substantial as the special edition of Fire Emblem Fates, the quality of this collector's edition is still right up there. The steelbook and soundtrack are both great add-ins for collectors. I'm getting a little tired of art books, but they are very fun to look through. Overall, I think fans will be pleased even if the "bang-for-buck" level is rather low.
The Game: Fire Emblem gas been a favorite franchise of mine for many years. Three Kingdoms does great service to the franchise by opening several different story paths that reveal the complexity of armed conflict while also giving the player substantial choice in play-style. There is so much game here, and one could play through multiple times with very different experiences. I particularly like your integration into the story as the teacher for your class of warriors, as it provides an excellent in-game rationale for why you are guiding the development of individual members of your army. I'm also pleased that my biggest fear - that the game focused on a school rather might reduce the scale of the conflict - was indeed a non-issue. There is much at stake in the storyline, and playing it out along several paths reveals more backstory and connection. This is truly a Fire Emblem game for Fire Emblem fans!

This game is unique in offering multiple ways to playthrough, thanks to having three different classes with their own storylines. But it suffers from moving from the 3DS to the Switch due to the increase demands. It has lead to slightly underwhelming graphics, as well as load times that feel like they're longer than is really necessary.
That said, the game itself is fun. I personally enjoy the feature allowing you to rewind during a fight. It helps make sure you don't just get destroyed by an enemy getting a lucky crit, or missing a pivotal attack. Some people may dislike it for the fact it offers safety. But I'd rather have it available than lose 20+ minutes in a mission because an ally died.
The extras this version come with are really nice if you can find them. Then calendar is likely the weakest addition. But it's still a nice little keepsake and is kind of neat for having things from the game in it. The soundtrack is cool, as is the art book. I wouldn't pay an arm and a leg for it, but it was a nice bonus to get.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is an amazing addition to the series. Great replayability: you can experience the story unfolding from different perspectives based on what house you side with. Great quality: voice acting everywhere, and cool cutscenes too! Was very emotionally attached to the characters in the story, and a lot of effort went into their backgrounds and growth throughout the story that pay off the investment you make into them in your role as the main character. I love the attention to detail, even the most minute things that may be glossed over by the average player, like the character notes that contribute to the worldbuilding and their backstory.

Easily the best game to come out on the Switch this year and a top 3 game for the system. The story is wonderful full of great characters and with tons of replay ability as there are 3 factions to take through it, each with their own perspective on the things happening. The battle system has been simplified a bit from previous games but it still works very well. This is easily the total package for SRPG fans. There are some very minor annoyances that creep up here and there but they are negligible compared to the rest of the game. If you own and Switch, and are even sort of a fan of the FE games, this is a no brainer

Excellent Special Edition of the “Fire Emblem” saga.
I personally think this is the best game of this emblematic Nintendo video game. You are in this case a professor that teach different houses. I don’t want to give more spoilers because there story is wide, dense and rewarding.
If you liked the previous games I think you will love this one. 50-100 hours of engaging video game time.

Absolutely fantastic game. Ive played about 30 hours and have yet to finish my first playthrough. With other faction options, later dlc, and increased difficulty, i can see this game taking a really long time to complete. The extra content in the special edition is all of high quality, but i havent flipped through the art book or listened to the soundtrack for fear of spoilers.

Firstly, the game itself is outstanding. One of the best games this year, and one of my favorite Fire Emblem games.
As for the rest, it’s all very cool! The soundtrack is wonderful (and over an hour long), The art book is incredibly neat, the steel case is awesome, and the calendar is very nice. I’m very pleased with the contents in this special edition!

Fire Emblem Three Houses is a big hit this year, but this special edition is the cherry on the cake, with artbook, steelcase, calendar and CD, it's a must have for all collectors.
I personally would prefer to have a normal edition box w/ cartridge
on top of an empty steelcase in this edition (rather than having the steelcase w/ cartridge) though...
