This is the most underrated sci-fi series ever! I still do not know for the life of me why it was ever cancelled! Firefly is a true space cowboy, political, sci-fi thriller adventure. It contains humor, humanity, politics, science, great acting and a super film score. The set and special effects are second to none for a TV series. One of my favs!

This story time television shows strikes the heart as it follows a fantastic cast of characters as they struggle in adventures in space with a western twist. Filled with fantastic character development and intrigue that pulls the viewer in. Although the show didn't make it through its first season, its popularity led to a movie and comic book series that continue the story.

I love The Hunger Games trilogy. So when this movie came out, there was no doubt, whatsoever, if I was going to get it. The only problem that required a solution in this situation was, however: Where do I purchase it? Best Buy not offered the best deal, but it also lets you get points--points that you can use for more movies for your awesome collection or for other purchases.

If you've never seen you are sooo missing out-it will just leave you crying for more,there is the movie Serenity that kinda wraps up where the sadly discontinued series left off-so at least there is a bit of closure-I have watched them all many times and will watch many more in the future-"Burn the land,Boil the Seas-You can't take the Skies from me"

I'm a huge Joss Whedon fan and remember watching this show when it was first on, I don't remember that much from this show, but know that I do enjoy this show. That's why I decided to buy this item to finally be able to re-watch them all. Plus the extra unaired episodes are nice. Again, too bad this has only the one season; they dropped the ball on a fantastic show

I heard about this show from a friend and decided to watch it on Netflix. It took me a little while to get into the show so I had to re-watch the first few episodes a couple of times. That is a waste of bandwidth so when I saw this on Blu-ray I had to get it. Now I can watch and re-watch all the episodes without impacting my home internet.

This series is a great example of catching lightning in a bottle. Fantastic writing, compelling, thoughtful stories, exceptional casting, and actors that somehow all hit their marks concurrently. Would love to see more, but i suspect any follow on product wouldnt recapture the original's quality. Besides, how do out-do Marvel right now to get Josh Whedon?

Firefly is one of my favorite. I HATE that it was cancelled. Overlooking that disappointingly, heartbreaking fact, I am glad that this masterpiece of a sci-fi show is on blue ray, AS IT SHOULD BE! This show has space, stars, lasers, spaceships, it NEEDED to be HD! Anyway, whether a fan or not(yet), I recommend this purchase. You will NOT regret it!

Another classic TV series by Joss Whedon that is as fresh now as it was when it came out in 2003. 15 high quality HD episodes that are so good you'll be screaming for more. In 2005, Joss Whedon made a movie SERENITY based on Firefly TV Series. Any Firefly fan will want Serenity too. Highly recommend to all. A+++

I hadn't seen Firefly before, but I had seen Serenity. Getting to watch the series was a treat and it's hard to believe there are (and ever will be) only 14 episodes. The cast and characters and top notch. Only bad thing is it had to end. I would recommend this series to anyone who is even slightly inclined to Sci-Fi.

This is the best looking version of this series and for those of you with Blu-ray players, it's the version to own. For the uninitiated, Firefly is one of the greatest science fiction shows of all time. Brilliant writing - engaging characters - interesting and believable speculative future. So sad that it was dropped.

This is one of my all time favorite SF TV shows. Unfortunately it did not do well until after it was no longer on air. The short series was tied up nicely by the movie Serenity but I would have preferred this show to have run several seasons. Still very worth watching!

It's hard to believe this series didn't stick on Fox back in the day. The episodes are highlighted by well written plots, developing intriguing and endearing characters. It is full of both subtle humor and rolling on the floor hilarious moments while still dealing with challenging episode to episode dilemmas. Highly recommended.

Any self-serving sci-fi fan should know of Firefly and at least seen a few of one of the best, and sadly short-lived, television series ever. This was the series that spawned the 'Serenity' movie and should not be overlooked! If you like gritty, funny, action-packed sci-fi, this is the series for you! Browncoats Unite!

Includes all 14 Episodes - 11 aired and 3 never before aired. For those that loved this series, this package of three Bluray discs is a must-have. What also is included on disc one is Serenity parts 1&2 - not to be confused with the later release of "Serenity". (A different 2 hour movie extension of this series).

Firefly is a great series that while it was on, no one knew about it. Coming from huge successes like Buffy and Angel, Firefly was canceled too quickly from Fox, much like his other Fox show, Dollhouse. The western-sci-fi genre is one-of-a-kind and the acting and writing is top notch. The series in blu-ray looks amazing.

This is far and away my favorite television series. Funny, witty, sparkling dialogue and an interesting "universe." It is entirely possible that Firefly might have gone the way of so many other series and that the fact that it was cancelled after a single truncated series is a large part of why it is my favorite.

It took me a while to get on board with Firefly. I assumed it was way over-hyped and wasn't interested. Soon as it came to Netflix, I fell in love and HAD to own it on disc. This series does a great job with character development! I can definitely see where the outcry came from when it was cancelled.

As a fellow Browncoat, it is my pleasure to say that my DVD copies of one of the greatest sci-fi series that ended too soon is now in glorious Blu-Ray form. The new menu flow makes for easier viewing and more special features. This is going to be a great time in "the 'Verse" for my marathon viewings.

This was a great show, that sadly, was cut short. The characters were believable, and cast perfectly. It was a very sad day, when this wonderful show was cut short. This was proven, when a feature film was made after the show was cancelled, from fans demanding more. This show never gets old
