If you like shows from Joss Whedon & Sci-Fi, you will LOVE Firefly ! The series has both good stories and believable characters...so unfortunate the network didn't see that. I'm glad the FANS still keep asking for more. [see the movie, SERENITY]

Firefly is truly a diamond in the rough even if you do not like syfy. I consider it a tragedy and blessing it only got 1 season. It was a one hit wonder that had so much fan support that they got them to make a big screen movie which was very good as well.

Great series! Really disappointed that it was cancelled after such a short run. Bought the series for my husband since he is such a big fan. One of the main characters, Mal, is fantastic. I would consider him the "hero" and love how he is flawed but still tries to do the right thing.

One of my favorite shows! Just had to pick this up as it was on sale while browsing. So upset they canceled the show after just one season, smh. Would definitely suggest any fan of sci-fi pick this up!! If you like it then also suggest taking a look at the movie Serenity!

Definitely worth it, can't say enough about Joss's writing and overall productions. If you're not sure what to kill time with, this is it. WAY better than 95% of the stuff that permeates the airwaves right now. Picked this up at the weekly ad price of $10, so yeah, was a steal

As most fans of this series will admit, the director and writers, the actors , the storylines, the humor etc, were way ahead of their time...and yes it was cut short due to corporate stupidity... . if this show had been made in this day and age, it would be on for many years...

Before Nathan Fillion was Castle he was Captain Malcolm Reynolds. I knew a star was born when I first saw him. He has a sense of whimsy he brings to all his characters. It's just a shame this show was prematurely cancelled.

This is the best tv show you will ever watch. Ever since its premature cancelling over a decade ago, fans have been clamoring for its return. You would never think that a country western and scifi could mix well, but Joss Whedon makes it happen as only he can.

Joss Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel," "Doll House") brings us a story of rugged frontiersmen (and women), an eccentric priest, and a psychologically tortured genius. Yes, it's a western. And did I mention it's also set in outer-space? "Firefly" stars Nathan Fillion ("Castle"), Gina Torres ("Suits") and Adam Baldwin ("Chuck") as intergalactic cowboys set on righting wrongs and making a profit along the way. An imaginative, engaging series that takes the best from the science fiction and western genres and melds them in a fresh, imaginative series.

On of the most under watched television series, in my opinion. I was glued when I first watched it...years ago. Sadly it was cancelled too soon. The Serenity movie was a nice plus to end series. Jumped at the opportunity to own the Blu-ray series. Loved it!

This Sci-fi western is full of fun, action, and even a little romance. I want to live in this universe, the good news is that they made a movie after the season; the bad news is that Fox canceled the show, fortunately they gave "Raising Hope" four seasons.

A great science fiction show that you will never get bored of watching over and over. I have seen this show at least 20 times. Great characters great stories but sad this series was never given a chance to realize its potential to be even greater than Star Trek.

This series is a bit quirky, but the character interactions are to die for. You can laugh, cry, and go nuts, all in the same episode. Each and every one is good - not a single bummer in the entire series. If you like a good storyline, this one is for you.

I watched this as a kid but didn't understand it much, now as an adult I have rewatched the entire series and long awaited movie at least 20 times in the last two years. I fell in love with the characters and you will too!!

For such a short lived series, the characters manage to develop a rapport similar to shows that are on the air for years. Be sure to buy the 2 hour movie called Serenity, which wraps up most of the story line that the TV series leaves unanswered.

This show is absolutely the best show ever! I already owned this show on DVD, had access on Netflix, and had stored digital versions of it. Picking up the Blu-ray was only the icing on the cake. Great visual quality to match a brilliant show!

Simply one of the best science fiction series ever made. The casting for the characters is excellent and the acting was superb. If you like science fiction and/or westerns you will love Firefly. Just ask Sheldon from "The Big Bang Theory!"

Better than Star Trek (at least Star Trek got 2 seasons)! Very well written and acted. Characters and situations are believable (No aliens). Great sets and CG. Wish it would have been allowed to run it's course. I enjoyed it very much.

For some reason, I never watched Firefly when it was on the air. My son introduced me to the series after it was cancelled. Wonderful, quirky characters add color to a genre I'm not usually drawn to, but now I wish I had discovered sooner!

For those who've been under a rock, and are not aware that the man that delivered the highly entertaining and successful "The Avengers" delivered proof much earlier that he's not a one trick pony. The short lived, but much beloved sci-fi series "Firefly" is lots of fun with just as many interesting characters, wonderful action sequences (even with budget limitations), and captivating story lines. Whedon gives us a hybrid of science fiction and wild west that's sure to please those looking for a fun adventure.
