I wanted a system that was interconnected so if one alarm triggers they all do. Thanks to these detectors and the Ring Security System with Base Station I was able to get what I wanted. Easy to add to the Ring system where I can make sure they are monitoring my house for carbon monoxide and fire. I’m even able to check the battery life and label each device with the room they’re monitoring.

I purchased this as an add-on smoke detector for my Abode Security System. It connected flawlessly with the Abode iota hub as an additional ZWAVE accessory. I now have a 24/7 monitored Smoke alarm as part of my security system.

Made a purchase of two and setup,installation was great one was the Generation 2 which has a bar code to assist with getting it connected and the other was apparently The Generation 1 which has no bar code so had to do a bit of research to get the information in order to get it connected so it was all quick and simple. GET OUT STAY OUT

I bought this to replace a carbon monoxide detector, that was six years old, and got tired and quit. Went back with the same brand since it lasted 6 years. I went ahead and bought the combination, fire and carbon monoxide, since it was reasonably priced. I do have fire alarms in my house, but feel you can never have to many. This is the brand I had before.

They link to each other which is nice for larger homes or multi level.

Setup is easy and works well with ring security. Comes with the battery.

Bought two of these to connect to our ring alarm. Both work great after a little confusion on how they display in the ring app once set up. Once I connected one device, and it showed two devices in the ring app which was a little weird; “First Alert Fire & CO2” & “First Alert CO2”. I was confused and deleted one of them. It deleted both of them. I tried to re add the device and couldn’t get it to add to my ring app. I tried multiple troubleshooting steps and couldn’t get the detector to connect to my app.I set up the second device and again it added two devices to my ring app. One for Fire and co2 and another device labeled co2. I then renamed one to “Downstairs Fire” and the other to “Downstairs CO2”. I exchanged the first device and renamed the new device(s) to their location and Fire or co2. I have not had either go off so don’t know what happens on the app when one goes off as of yet but both show connected on the ring app.

I burned a toast and firefighters were at my house in less than 5 min as I pared it with the ring system, I had cancelled but they came anyway to test the drive as it was a new community, so indeed works and does when it says

This thing can easily connect Samsung Smartthings and report alerts for CO, smoke, battery percentage. Seems to be perfectly content with LSD Ni-mh AA batteries, reporting 90% when fresh. Looks like it will get over 18mo on 2000mAh Eneloop cells. Only used 2 AA. Very nice and convient for a battery snobber, such as musself.
