Great Refrigerator.. Best Buy not so great

The refrigerator is great. It’s a smaller size as we needed that it’s beautiful and for being small has ample space. It’s done very well.
Best Buy however, is not so great. They neglect to tell you that you have to hire a Private plumber to get this installed. Do not believe that your delivery person will install this. They just plug it in that you need a private plumber to hook up the waterline. It’s an outside waterline. We spent way too much time trying to get Best Buy to understand that delivery people will not hook this particular refrigerators waterline up.

This works well in our small kitchen. Very quiet. It is small, though! Small ice cube bin. Small yet deep freezer space.

I love this refrigerator. It fit perfectly. However they were unable to install it with the stainless steel waterline they brought . I had to call a plumber

Just got this so this review is mostly about the initial impressions and setting everything up. I thought it unnecessary that I needed to have an appointment with a specially trained F&P sales person, but they made my process very simple (I didn't have to go to the showroom and meet with them). Unit is very pricey and we purchased after reading other reviews online.
The unit is (and looks to be) well engineered and manufactured, but misses terribly on a couple of points. The unit for the ice maker and water filter is external and although simplistic, is ridiculous to install. Instructions call for it to be wall mounted externally, behind the unit. With such precisioned engineering for everything else, this feature seems to be an afterthought.
The fridge (especially the ice maker) is very loud when compared to less costly fridges. When running we hear this over the sound of an active dishwasher. Again, for the price, it would seem the quality would be a little more superior. Our main reason for purchase was that it fits the dimensions of the galley kitchen. Perhaps next time we'll take everyone's advice, buy something cheaper, and use the extra we spent to push the wall out? I am hopeful, though, as the unit is attractive and seems solid. It may eventually win me over.

I purchased this Fisher Paykel fridge after my 15-year-old fridge went kaput. My most important features in the new fridge were 33" or smaller, bottom freezer, water dispenser, and in stock.
My choices were a lower-end Samsung or this Fisher Paykel. I had been admiring Fisher Paykel appliances for a few years and decided to spend a little extra for this one and I'm so glad I did.
Upsides: The external water filter is actually a big plus for me – it means more space in an already small fridge. I installed mine in a cabinet above the fridge and store extra filters in the same cabinet. It's a perfect solution and means the fridge is as flush as possible to the wall. (I'm too short to use that cabinet for anything else.)
The interior is well laid out and I appreciate the bottle holders that came with it. I ended up buying a few bins from the Container Store to organize the shelves and it's been working great.
Ice maker works well and I love that it came with a scoop. The second drawer in the freezer means I'm not losing food to the abyss. I use the top for leftovers, coffee grinds, and ice cream. The bottom gets meats and frozen meals. Nothing gets lost!
Downsides: the water dispenser dripped for a few days until I realized there was still air in the filter and tubes. I drew nearly 5 gallons before the tubes stopped dripping. Since then, everything has been perfect.
I highly recommend this fridge, though it may be better if you can get it from another supplier. Best Buy promised this unit was "in stock" but it then took 6+ weeks for delivery. Upon delivery, the installers refused to put the filter where I wanted it because they "can't drill into the wall." They also installed the filter directly into the drywall without any anchors. I feel you could get better selling practices and install from a local company.

I really wanted to like this fridge because it had a different look and a super clean design. We bought it because it was one of only 3 in-stock at the time that fit the very specific dimensions of our kitchen. For the price it lacked the size and features of other comparable options. The first one came with a dent in the door so they ended up replacing it shortly after. The stupid plastic wrap cover over the water dispenser is seemingly impossible to completely remove and leaves an ugly edge hanging. The ice maker was kind of slow, even with the boost setting, taking pretty much a whole day to fill the tray. The second one had a janky drawer track in the freezer and didn't open all the way up, making it hard to get ice out of the tray. At the end of the day it just did not seem cold enough. We ended up moving and selling the house with the fridge in it, the last months leading up I felt like it wasn't getting drinks cold enough. I started noticing how fast fruit spoiled and it seemed like it was about to die by the time we moved out. Once I moved and had a base model fridge at an apartment, my drinks got ice cold and my fruit started lasting weeks instead of days. It definitely wasn't cooling properly even though it was on the max setting. Disappointing.

Loving my Fisher & Paykel Fridge

Due to covid, many of the smaller width refrigerators were sold out or back-ordered. Luckily there was 1 Fisher & Paykel available that would fit my space requirements. I wasn't familiar with this New Zealand brand, however, its been a great choice. The refrigerator is extremely quiet and has numerous bells and whistles for added convenience and safety. Best Buy's delivery team didn't bring an ice and water filter; the one Best Buy subsequently sent was not for my model. I personally called the 24 hour Fisher & Paykel Customer Service line and they sent the correct cartridge, free of charge, and additionally arranged for a Fisher & Paykel technician to come to my home and install the filter using the water line and parts that they provide to ensure my warranty would be honored. I'm extremely satisfied with this choice and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another product by this company.

This fridge fit nicely in limited space with great width and height! Exterior has modern, streamlined look that fits my eclectic decor. So far pleased with this purchase. Also had to hire outside appliance installer familiar with Fisher Paykel water filters/products to install water filter at additional $170 cost. Geek Squad not trained on this product line.

We really love the fridge. We got it because the opening in the kitchen was quite small, too small for the typical counter depth 36 inches across.
This refrigerator was the only bottom freezer we could find with water in the door. It’s a really handsome fridge, has everything we need, and looks great in the kitchen. We love it!

Meets all expectations. Only wish didn’t have to open both doors to get to vegetable crisper drawer. But not really a problem once you get use to it. Plenty of room and shelves adjustable for the variety of glass and plastic containers.

I had limited space. This fridge was even smaller than my 20 year old fridge that needed replacing. I am amazed how much can fit. Much more than the old one. Keeps temps just right thru out. Be patient with the first ice making - takes a while at first. Love this machine

Nothing but problems. Our first one was replaced due to defect. The second fridge has never worked properly. Water dispenser and ice maker do not work. Temperature control in fridge is never right. It freezes everything in The back of the fridge.

Constant Problems

This fridge almost always had issues. We've owned it for 11 years and it had died finally. It worked great for about two years, then it started freezing our food inside the fridge. I called in a repair person with the warranty we bought, but he said it was "normal." Of course. But it wasn't. It continued freezing in the fridge compartment no matter what setting we adjusted to. Then about 3 years ago the ice maker stopped making ice. We paid a handsome sum to have it changed, and now that has broken again. Now the whole freezer is warm. We have to buy another fridge and what gets me is that this is the only fridge that fits in our space that has a water dispenser. Super frustrated that we have to get this same fridge again. Doesn't even look like they updated the technology. Looks identical to ours in every way.
