Customers are saying

Customers admire the Alta Activity Tracker (Large) for its sleep tracking, comfortable design, long battery life, and step tracking features. Many users find the automatic sleep tracking particularly useful, while others appreciate the slim design and improved clasp. The device also motivates users to stay active and walk more. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the lack of a heart rate monitor and waterproofing, as well as occasional syncing issues and durability concerns.

Bought this as a present for the wife who's previous Fitbit didn't survive a jump in the pool to help a struggling kid. She wanted one she could change bands on and this has the more advanced features such as notifications, good battery life and she can swap bands and it still be small and stylish. This checks all the boxes.

This Fitbit is very light and slim and holds a charge for long periods of time and you can change the bands.

I did my research for a few months before I finally made a decision on which activity tracker I was growing with. This one has everything I wanted minus the heart rate monitor, but the pros outweighed the cons worthy of 5 stars. Notifications on texts, calls and event are awesome. The reminders to move are very beneficial. I'm a big dude but this little gem has made a positive impact on my life these past few months since it came out. I've been recommending it to all my friends. Love it!!

Won points for this one. She has told me that she likes how it feels while wearing it. She didn't like how some of the other fitbit devices felt too wide. Other than not having a heart rate monitor, she loves everything about it. The only complaint is that it takes a little too long to realize that she is doing exercise.

I had a Jawbone UP before I bought this fitbit. While I prefer the Jawbone band options, I think most of the offerings are the same or similar enough that it was an easy transition. I do like some of the features on the fitbit that I did not know were part of the tracker until after I had been wearing it for a day or so, like the notifications for text messages and phone calls. While I do not need to be connected to my phone 24/7 like many, I have found that the text notifications have been a nice feature as I can glance at my wrist to see if it is important enough to read the whole thing now or wait until later. Also, I work from home and I can be sedentary for longer than I realise. I love the reminder to get up and at least get in 250 step before the end of the hour. It is a bit clunkier than the Jawbone and not as low profile, which is a small drawback for me. However, I am satisfied over all with this purchase and I would recommend it to someone who wants an activity tracker without all the whistles and bells that won't break the bank.

I had the charge before this. It was lovely but battery performance wasn't up to my needs. The Alta battery is awesome. Typically 5/6 days on each charge with auto synch off. I found auto synch unnecessary. And best of all I can get away with it not looking like I'm wearing a watch so I can wear my analog watches.

My simple review: Easy to set up and use. Lasts 4 days or so per charge. Seeing text alerts is nice. Sleep tracker is nice too. Little reminders to get up and move are helpful. My first tracker and I really like it. Been using it for about a month.

This was a Mother's Day gift for my wife and she couldn't be happier. The design and style were finally to her like after trying numerous other wearables. The only things I wish it included are the Heart Rate monitoring, and sometimes it doesn't respond to the tap for display changes. Otherwise a top notch product.

    Good Pedometer

I bought this Fitbit for my mom for her birthday. I chose this one because it was the newest style and cheaper than the Charge HR that I have. It works great as a pedometer and I like that it shows your Active Minutes on screen (mine only shows them on the app). However, it is not an HR so there is no heart rate monitor which my mom doesn't seem to mind, but still a downfall. The other thing about this one that I didn't like was how the band secures itself. It uses two balls that fit into holes on the other side and it is a pain in the butt to try and get on by yourself! My Charge HR has a buckle that is infinitely easier to manage. However I am pretty sure you can switch out the bands on this one, so I would suggest buying a new band if you run into the same fastening issues my mom has. I do like the color though and the sleek design.

Nice slimmer device. It replaced one by another manf. and I like it much better, as it seams more accurate and easily less intrusive. My issue is that I've had some issues with syncing the device.. to phone or laptop. I've read others have this issue. Here's hoping Fitbit takes care of this quickly.

    Good Alternative to Jawbone UP24

I had been using a Jawbone UP24 activity tracker but after having the third warranty replacement from Jawbone in a year, I gave up on it and started looking for something else. This provided things I was looking for: step counting, reminder to move throughout the day, and sleep tracking.

I loved this design because it is a skinnier tracker that still has a watch. I use it all the time as I work in a hospital. I only wish it had a second hand. I have to charge it about once a week. It syncs up great with my phone and has helped me track my fitness and health goals.

I've had multiple fitbits and jawbone devices over the past years. This is a great one as of late - sleek and minimal, long battery life, and the ability to change out bands. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking to count their steps without the need for gps. Get stepping!

My employer started offering extra cash for being healthier by tracking steps, sleep, stress, and nutrition. My coworkers love earning extra money and getting into better shape by motivating and challenging each other via the fitbit app. Love that the Alta is thinner than the others.

I've been using my Fitbit Alta for over a month and I enjoy it. It gets the job done with added perks. I'm able to track my steps along with placing exercise reminders and tracking my sleep habits. The Alta has a Bluetooth built in so it's easy to sync everything to your Fitbit phone app. The app is easy to setup and user friendly. I can also see incoming calls and texts on my Fitbit, which is nice and more discreet than always pulling out my phone. I also chose the Alta for its size. The wrist band and screen are not too large. I wear my Fitbit to sleep to track my sleep habits and I can't even feel when it's on.
