    Slightly Disappointed

Although I owned several fitness trackers, this is my first Smart Watch. Since I have an iPhone, I was considering purchasing an Apple Watch 3. Based on the reviews and cheaper price, I chose the Versa. The watch itself is nice. Even with my small wrist size, the watch face is not overpowering. The band is comfortable to and I like that it is a standard type of adjustable band. The screen is clear and nicely visible outdoors. I realize there is a learning curve with the exercise functions and my rating does not include this. The touch screen works well as well as the swiping functions. I would like to be able to arrange the screen apps in an order I use most but not sure if that is possible. I and on day 2 after a charge and am at 61%. Where Fitbit fails for me, and the 3 Star rating, has to do with the watch face apps, transferring of music and the fact that the mobile app is not working for several days that the Fitbit team has been working on with no solution at the time of this review. When you change the watch face, it is not saved anywhere in case you decide to change it. You will have to go the Face store and re-install it. Not too convenient. Transferring music is not ideal. First, for Windows users, you have to download the Fitbit desktop app from the Microsoft Store on your PC. My Microsoft Store is not working and I have been working on the solutions for 4 days now. I had to use a family member’s computer to use the Fitbit desktop app to transfer music. For some reason, it took almost an hour to load 18 songs which is too long. I can’t believe Fitbit does not have a desktop download directly from their website which would help those of us whose Microsoft store is not working. For now, I will have to borrow the family member’s computer to add additional music; not convenient. Lastly, I am one of the lucky ones who was able to setup my Versa before he mobile app failed which is needed to get started using the watch. Until the current mobile app issue is resolved and hopefully a better way to change watch faces and music transferring, I cannot recommend this smart watch. If no updates to these issues soon, I may return mine

    It's ok... when it works.

Frankly, I am unimpressed with the Versa. When I first got it, there was an apparently known syncing issue that was posted on the fitbit site (and app I believe) which took a few days to fix. It did seem to make a difference so I thought, ok, good start. Well, then I got a burn on my wrist due to the HR monitor light apparently. All the help I can find is in forums where several people complained about burns with various Fitbit products and offered various solutions like wearing the watch more loosely. Fitbit never really addressed the issue and put it down to skin sensitivity, from what I read. Now, I am not sure what is going on but my sleep is not recording right and I am not getting any heart rate in my run results. The answer I got from a forum moderator was to read a whole bunch of help articles. I personally find that the watch never worked 100%. It does really cool things when it works, but it's anybody's guess when it will or not. It is a nice watch, I like the look of it but in terms of what is promised when you buy it, very little is actually kept and solutions are never actually offered. One of the very good things about it is the way it charges. There is no USB port which is much better especially for a product that goes in water. It also stays charged for several days. I haven't had another activity tracker/smart watch before, so I am not sure how others work but this is mostly a disappointment to me.

I have had my Fitbit for almost 1 year and I have to say, I used to love it. I enjoy having a device where I can check to see my notifications. Love having my wrist buzz when I get a phone call because I left my phone on silent for the umpteenth time. I enjoy tracking my steps and heart rate. I love the sleep monitor. I also love the breathing exercises. Sounds like a steeler review right? Well, here is the big downside that spurred me to create an account and write a review. Updating this thing is the WORST! I have been trying to update the Versa for OVER A WEEK. I have tried multiple times through Bluetooth and multiple times through wifi. Each time takes anywhere from 2 - 6 hours only for the versa to tell me failed to update. I wonder at what point this stops being user error and becomes a Fitbit error. Anyways, take this as you will. If you want to drop money on this go for it and enjoy as much as you can before you need to update it.

I was really excited about this watch at first. I love the way it looks and the customizable features. I have noticed that when tracking exercises about 1-2 hours per day, the battery only lasts about 3 days. The heart rate monitor isn't always accurate but I am pleased with the accuracy for a watch. I wish the watch had its own gos rather than connecting to the phone's GPS (garmen comparable vivoactive HR has it's own gps and he battery lasts at least 2 times as long). It drains my phone battery so quickly ans only connects to the gps sometimes. After only having the watch for about a month, the screen cracked but it was still use able. Then one month after that, the display stopped working. Unfortunately, this watch is not rugged. Good for those who want a smart watch not good for athletic, rugged folk.

I received the Versa as a Christmas gift. I put it on my wish list because of the price difference between it and the Apple Watch. The setup seemed easy enough, but I'm finding there is a problem with notifications. It vibrates sporadically on steps notifications, never on text messages, The texts are received on the watch, but no notification is received. I noticed on the community boards this seems to be a fairly common problem. I haven't tried the fix yet due to the time it will take. Another issue is that when I sit down to watch a movie it logs the time as sleep time. That time can be deleted by going to my account on fitbit.com, but it is an irritant. Since I would like to track sleep patterns I would like it to count time when I'm actually sleeping. Some of my issues may be user issues and I'm hoping things will improve with time. Now that I have the watch I need to try to make it work. I only wish I had held off and gotten the Apple watch.

    Not a Pebble replacement

I was a die hard Pebble user. Well my Pebble Time Round finally bit the toast, so had to get a new watch. Figured I would look into the Versa and see if it would be a good replacement. Well don't. It is an OK health tracker, meaning I can swipe my arm up and down and it claims I walked 3 or more steps. Keeps time unless it runs out of battery, then when you charge it back up make sure you open the FitBit app so the watch can resync and give you the right time. App support is non-existent. Watch faces are OK, but the fact you have to download from the app and no way to star your favorites. Once you change faces, your previous one gets dumped back in the bucket. Is it terrible, no, it does what it promises to do. Unfortunately, just about any other wearable device by any other company beats it.

I purchased this smartwatch to keep me moving. 10,000 steps a day and 9 active hours a day baby! So far the Versa has kept me honest by bugging me every hour. Telling me how many more steps I need. It can be annoying but that's what I wanted. The Versa took about 15 minutes to sync with my android device and set up which notifications I wanted. On thing that I did not think I would use was the sleep tracking but this has been kind of fun to see how much rem sleep I get during the course of a night. One thing that I don't like is that I have not had the Versa for a year yet and the band has started cracking. I mean come on, for this kind of money the band should last at least a year. I would still recommend it but with a warning about the band.

There are a few things I like and a few I dont. Some I like are the flashlight. Comes in handy. I like the more detailed sleep patterns it gives me and the heart rate monitor. I like I can put a personal pic as a screen image. Things I dont like, I'm going from a alta to a versa so it feels big and gets in the way. I'm not used to a big watch. I'm having trouble connecting my wifi when I'm standing right next to my wifi box. It wont give me me text messages or call notifications even when they are all on. The band is a bit of a struggle to get on and off, mostly cause I was used to the alta band that was an easy snap on off. This one had a buckle so it takes a little longer. I have carpal tunnel so its tougher for me. Other than that its just ok.

I have had a Gramin tracker for the last three years and decided to trade up for more features. This tracker does everything I need fitness wise and then some. I’ve not had any issues with it overcounting my steps and it always seems to be within one or two beats of my actual heart rate. It is an excellent watch and extremely comfortable! My only complaint is that the screen is overly sensitive. I am unable to wear it to bed like you are supposed to because the screen turns on every time you move. This is even with the auto screen function turned off! The screen is so extremely bright that it wakes me up in the middle of the night. I would recommend this to anyone who isn’t looking for a sleep tracker due to this. :)

I got this watch in July, and the HR monitor went out on me the end of December. What's worse is I bought a 2-yr Best Buy warranty, but they no longer offer warranties on ANY Fitbit device! That says a lot to me about Fitbit, yikes! So, yes, the watch is pretty and only decently accurate on counting steps but honestly it has a lot of defects and seems to be unreliable- except for the time. I am so bummed about this! And I've read reviews about Fitbit having horrible customer service, so even with 1-yr manufacturers warranty, it still makes me squeamish and uncertain about getting another. Buyers beware.

Disappointed the GPS was removed.. I bought this for my teenage son who’s on Cross country the whole point of getting it was so that he can track his runs and his workouts and because the GPS was removed he can’t do that unless his phone is with him . I didn’t want to get him an Apple Watch because he already had an Apple phone it’s basically having two phones but I broke down and got the Apple after I return to this Fitbit versa because I would’ve had to purchase the fitbit ionic which is the same price point as an Apple Watch . I would have kept the Fitbit versa had it had the GPS very disappointed and Fitbit

I was very eager to receive my watch. But after having it for a day it is not all like Fitbit made it seem. The only reason I purchased this watch was because my Samsung Gear stopped working. I thought this new Fitbit was going to be like my Samsung Gear. So wrong. If you have an Android you can not reply to text messages or reject/accept incoming calls. Only ones that can reject/accept calls are individuals with an Iphone. But they also can not reply to text messages. My old watch would notify me when it sensed no movement in over 30 minutes. This watch doesn't do that either. It is neat you can watch workout videos, track your calories, and steps. Other than that I give it a thumbs down.

The Versa has some great features, not all of them relevant to me. The Steps, heart rate and calories report is great, very small but readable in daylight. The sleep monitoring is intriguing but does not record any sleep prior to midnight and often not before 2:00am. I go to sleep before 10:00 each night and am dreadfully sleep deprived, according to the Versa. Customer service was alerted and a fix proposed, which did not resolve the problem. Will try again with high hopes. The waterproof feature is great but there are no instructions on how to utilize the Versa. Perhaps the website could be of more help than just sales promotion?

This is my second Fitbit and I love it. It was a little bit difficult to get it set up and to stay sync to my phone daily but I got it to stay and it has been doing great. The only problem I am having is when I put music on my Fitbit I cannot get my wireless headphones to work. They will work for about a minute and then show that there is not headphones connected and I cannot get them to reconnect or stay connected so I still have to use my iPod when working out and I wish I did not have to do that. That is one reason I got the Fitbit is to have my music. But I love it.

This was an upgrade to my previous Fitbit, Charge 2. The design is beautiful and slim. Easy to wear and easy to sleep in. The App Store is very limited and hard to find useful app. Aside, from acces to a few apps and music control, I found no difference in Fitbit models. I liked the Versa but was not completely satisfied. I learned that the most advertised features aren’t available to Apple Users. As an iPhone user I’m unable to reply to messages. As a Mac user, I was unable to upload music onto the Fitbit because there’s no access to the software needed to add the music.

I bought this watch because of the heart monitor and to listen to music in the watch. Comparing with the apple watch in terms of cost benefit, it seemed to be a good purchase. I'm a little frustrated because the heart monitor and Wifi does not work so well. For example, I do not use the watch sometimes and even so it counts my heartbeat. =( The wifi does not work well to sync the Deezer songs. I This is a common complaint in the fitbit community. I've never been able to sync over WiFi even following everything the community said. It looks like they launched a fast product without testing correctly.

Ok so I already have a Apple Watch series 2 and I got the Versa because I just couldn’t stand the battery life of my Apple Watch anymore . It last a day and that’s it . I also thought it’d be cool to have the features that Fitbit has to offer . Anyway, I bought the Versa and returned it 3 days later . The battery life was better (lasted 2 days) the workout tracking was also nice but it’s just so cheap feeling and looking . I think if I never had a Apple Watch I would like the Versa because I wouldn’t see the quality difference, not just with appearance but with watch function .

It was a nightmare to pair and update. Took almost two hours, about five times as long as it took me to do the same with a full fledged Samsung Gear watch. It has been inconsistent in alerting me to notifications. For the last two days it's not alerted me to any notifications despite being shown as connected and notifications enabled in settings and the Fitbit app. As a watch and pedometer, it's fine, but I wouldn't count on it to do much more.

I tried giving this product 2 stars but it automatically gave it 3. I loved this item for the month it worked. A $200 item should have a longer lifespan. After doing research, I found this is a common problem. I haven’t contacted customer service as yet, but from what I have read they will work with you. However, I feel that I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops for a $200 item I used for 30 days. I preferred this item over an Apple Watch but I will stick what works. APPLE.

First, I had to return the first one because it randomly quite counting steps or showing heart rate. Next, discovered Fitbit company will not allow BestBuy to offer any kind of warranty, so if you're past your 14 day return time, you're out of luck. The second one works better but I have to reboot occasionally. I don't see much difference in the new Versa compared to my 5 year old Fitbit for basic data, but I haven't tried music download or the Starbucks pay feature. Looks nice!
