Failed within half an hour
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out the box: worked for maybe 15 minutes before the lights and keyboard interchangeably began to stop working. Eventually, the usb connection on both cables (non-modular fwi) failed terminally, and now the keyboard is dead. I’ve checked repeatedly that the usb ports on my computer are functioning, which they are, to be sure it was the keyboard and not my computer that was the issue. I will be returning this product. It’s a shame, because the keyboard itself is nice and feels like it’s of decent quality, and the lighting is done well. However, that means little for a product that doesn’t function whatsoever. My $10 logitech keyboard is more useful. p.s. I also find it redundant to have two usb cables for a single keyboard. The logitech mechanical keyboard i am currently borrowing used a single cable to manage both the lights and the keyboard connection. A rather clumsy design here.

Solid gaming keyboard!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fnatic Streak keyboard features Cherry MX switches, matte finish aluminum construction (top half, bottom of keyboard is plastic), various color modes, an adjustable palm rest and sturdy USB cable. After downloading their “OP software”, I was up and running in a few minutes. Through the software, you can customize the colors of the keys and the lighting pattern. This can be done with keystrokes on the keyboard also. This software is very easy to work with, it is the same software you’d use to setup for their gaming mouse. I tested the keyboard by playing Fortnite, as expected, it was much better than the original keyboard that came with my PC. The mechanical keys are much more precise and response time is very fast. The mechanical key feel is excellent, very smooth not mushy like my standard keyboard was. Since this is the Cherry MX switches, it doesn’t make the clicking sound. But the keys are still kind of loud. I noticed this when I was using it late one night after the kids were asleep and I was using the keyboard in Word and Excel. The keyboard features an adjustable wrist rest, its design allows you to position the wrist rest closer or further from the keyboard. The lighting feature on the keyboard is way cool, my son loves it! It reminds me of Times Square! I usually leave it on 1 color as I find it distracting. There are several lighting modes and you can customize it as well in the “OP software”, it’s very flexible. One minor nitpick item with the keyboard backlight, on most keys with two characters, such as the key that has “ / “ on top and “ ? “ on the bottom, only the “ / “ is illuminated. Overall, this is a solid gaming keyboard, I’d recommend it for anyone who’s looking for a good quality gaming keyboard and likes the times square lighting effects!

Not worth the hassle
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item was defective (repeating keys) after 3 months of daily use. Fnatic customer support requires you to go through BestBuy and BestBuy requires you to go through Fnatic. It's not worth the hassle. I would recommend a different brand.

#7 Key Failed / Software Never Released
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I had high hopes for this, my first new RGB and mechanical keys - keyboard. Not a good purchase - #7 key on the number pad failed 7 months out. As well, the software has never been released to version 1 - functionality is very limited. In the end, not having much fun here. (No, no spills.)

Great keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm currently using the G513 by Logitech. As an older person that learned how to type on an old IBM typewriter, mechanical keyboards work for me. That said, the Fnatic Streak is probably equal to the Logitech as far as performance goes. They each have a lot of strengths and just a few complaints. First the Fnatic comes in a great box and makes a good first impression. The top pulls off and the keyboard, padded wrist support and a box with instructions and a few nice stickers. Plugging it in takes 2 USB slots, one for the keyboard and one for the onboard USB slot. I must say the cord is thick and not really flexible. Once plugged in, I see a sticker on the space bar that instructs me where to download the software. The address didn't work and I was just about to Google it when the page forwarded to the correct page. Maybe because the software I downloaded is a beta/tester version. Regardless, it downloaded and is really easy to use. My only gripe is that I didn't see a way to not see it when I start up Windows. Again, no biggie. The wrist support attaches to the keyboard with two hinges that slide into the keyboard. You need to line up the tabs so they slide in and not snap off. Once installed your good...or so I thought. I tried it out and my wrists were on the desk, making it too small for me. Then I found out that the pad is magnetized and it can be adjusted to a few places. I moved it back 2 slots and it works great for me. My hands aren't huge, so those with larger hands may be disappointed. I think I have it out as far as possible. Next the lighting. I'm old and don't care for the scrolling rainbow and it took a few looks to figure out how to get a stationary blue light. In the software you have 3 spots to adjust color, left, right and center. I just put all 3 on blue. It looks similar to Corel Painter. I used the gradient effect to stop the scroll. There is a volume scroll wheel in the top right along with a mute mic, mute, function lock and competition mode. The comp. mode button turns off the windows key, function keys, and custom lighting. Another gripe of my is that the keys don't have that click like the G513 or old typewriter does. I'm guessing it has different type of switch. What I like about the Fnatic over the G513 is the extra keys (e.g. function lock), the scroll wheel and the attached wrist support. The unit is well made and typing on it feels like typing should...well at least to me. My biggest complaint would be the lack of the click when pressing a key. It just makes the experience better when using a mechanical keyboard. I know that I hope to never go back to a regular keyboard again. These mechanical keyboards are marketed towards gaming and the software allows gamers to remap keys, lighting and I'm sure plenty that I haven't discovered. I tend to do a lot of typing and this keyboard has improved my wpm because that muscle memory is going back to work. I'd definitely recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful Keyboard, Great Feel
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing you notice is excellent packaging, I’m sure this ensures shipping caused defects are minimized and is important. Next the quality of the keyboard is readily apparent, solid keys and fantastic feel as you type. If you are used to membrane keyboards you will either dislike a mechanical keyboard or will suddenly wonder why didn’t I get this before – the feel on the mechanical keyboards for me is wonderful and the sound is important since it lets you know you hit the key of course and is another important feedback for you. Gamers will love it due to the excellent Cherry MX switches which have a 50 million stroke guarantee and yes you can tell they are high quality. The floating keys are on top of an aluminum top plate and this makes the feel so solid – no sponginess. You can deploy a couple feet to raise the keyboard angle and all the feet are rubber tipped – excellent design to hold the keyboard in place perfect. There is also a volume wheel on the upper right and it is something I now use all the time, I think all keyboards need these. Also a mike and speaker mute buttons. If you like detailed specs go here: https://fnatic.com/gear/mini-streak/ Since the keyboard doesn’t lay flat like a filet of sole, you need a wrist rest and one is provided. It has a nice metal baseplate that attaches to the keys and a padded rest that has three positions to accommodate different finger lengths – it hooks magnetically into your choice of 3 different slots. You can indeed find the most comfortable position for your needs. This is a wired keyboard and it has a double USB connector. The second connection allows you to have a very convenient USB slot on the back of the keyboard which is ideal for connecting a wired mouse. I happen to also use the Fnatic Flick2 mouse and so I used this connection for it. If you like lights this keyboard has them – RGB LED’s – wow they are nice. You can use the Fnatic OP app to configure 4 different profiles. You can customize the keyboard without the app, but the app is super easy to use. You can have many colors, multiple colors, pulsing, rainbows and other very nice color effects. There is a key on the keyboard to put it in ‘Competition’ mode and this key makes the lighting more subtle and a single color. The ‘Competition’ key also disables some keys like the Windows key. The app is going to be further enhanced so I am waiting to see what other options it will provide. I really think Fnatic got this right both the app and the keyboard. After using this keyboard, I very much prefer it over membrane keyboards, too bad most laptops don’t have mechanical keyboards, but some higher end gaming laptops do have these wonderful devices. I highly recommend this one which has a great price performance kickback.

Excellent "clicky" gaming keyboard!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Are you interested in a solid keyboard that is exceptionally "clicky" (very akin to PS/2 keyboards from yester-year)? This is it. Not only does it play well with Windows, but the Fnatic RGB Switch keyboard won't slow you down. Typing is quite precise, and having dual USB split-cord allows you to hook up keyboard-only to USB, as well as a separate USB pass-through for other dedicated peripherals (that port is to the rear of the keyboard, allowing space-saving and out-of-the-way physical configurations). The backlight to the keyboard is great; light "seeps through" not just the bottoms of the keys, but also through the top character cut-out of each. Build quality is top-notch -- the entire encasement is anodized aluminum, and it comes with both a sturdy plastic palm rest and a metal riser that extends to the length of the keyboard in the front of it. This will replace my current keyboard -- it's one that definitely beats other highly-competent keyboard manufacturers out there!

Time-tested mechanical keys and nice RGB software
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mechanical Keyboards are “must have” for gaming, and more often these days a nice addition to replace the cheapo membrane keyboards that so many settle for – without ever having tried the mechanical advantage. For the Fnatic keyboard, it’s hard to go wrong with the Cherry Red switches, which have a good ‘bump’ to them without a lot of clicky noise. These keys have a good feel and don’t have the mushy bottom-out finish of other mechanical keys. USB pass-through is nice to have, and seems to be a feature left out of many top-name gaming keyboards currently on the market. RGB lighting is bright and can be customized in many ways from simple to fancy using the Fnatic software (download once you get the keyboard attached). Adding a Fnatic illuminated mouse to the mix adds to the light and color for a very nice overall effect. All in all, you really need to go and put your hands on a few different keyboards on display to see what feel and sound work best for your particular tastes.

Quiet Keys but Mechanical Prowess
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard certainly rivals your usualy Razer Chroma series. The keys are quiet yet i do not need to smash them to get a quick response on screen. The colors are vibrant. The wrist rest is a nice add a bit clunky to install but once it was in it feels great. Honestly if you like a mechanical feel but not loud and clicky go for this one... you will not regret it!

Sturdy and Clicky
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an outstanding keyboard. The top surface is a sturdy aluminum, the keys are clicky but not loud and it's obvious it'll take a pounding without breaking a sweat. Key lighting is good and bright. There are a bunch of cool animated modes, and even just static lighting looks nice. On the back is a magnetic Fnatic plate that's held on by magnets. According to their website you will eventually be able to order custom nameplates. Also included in the box is a nice wrist rest and a box with a manual and Fnatic stickers. Even though the main audience for this keyboard is gamers, I got it mostly for general work and typing since I like mechanical keyboards. This one is suited for both tasks, It also appears to use standard keycaps, so they can be replaced with custom caps. My only complaint is that the the volume key seems like it's a much lower quality than the rest of the keyboard, and the USB cable is needlessly thick and extremely stiff. If you're into cable management it may present an issue.

Absolutely Incredible
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard works very well and has many color options you can set. The only warnings I have are that the keys are very sensitive and they are NOT silent. People around you will hear you typing your newest novel but it is worth it.
