This game had promise, but Square dropped the ball with this one pretty hard. The voice acting ks atrocious (luckily there's a setting in-game to turn it off). The combat is fun, but falls flat after a while. It looks like an early PS4 game (it runs on the Luminous Engine, the same as Final Fantasy XV, but looks WORSE somehow). I played the demo extensively as well. This is a game you don't want unless it's $20 or less, and even then, you'd be better off getting something else.

Flat narrative and borderline offensive stereotype main character aside; Forspoken shines with a large world, the tools to explore it, and satisfying combat.

Interesting game with fun combat and a decent story. It does suffer from pacing issues towards the end/

The game played pretty wonky on release but the most recent patch did something to make the game feel great! The combat and the traversal mechanics are super satisfying. The characters outside of the protagonist aren't the most intriguing but the story is very solid. Definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this game for its combat system and main characters journey through a different world. It had its flaws in not utilizing its open workd more but its an experience I am gald i had.

This game was amazing. If you are looking for a game to get lost in the open world then this game is for you. The monster variety was great and my god the combat was just simply amazing. It has minor flaws like any other new game. But the flaws didnt stop me from enjoying this game.

Great game! Forget what all the critics say... The reason the dialogue is the way it is, is to make the character stand out and not be boring. Also to have her vocabulary differ from the characters in the world she is. I am one of the few, but I like her character, she's got attitude, and its fun! Also its fun to zip around and move WAY FASTER THAN ANY OPEN WORLD GAME! Also magic effects are epic and cool, music is amazing, beautiful scenery with plenty of photo worthy moments. Combat is also similar to Hogwarts Legacy in a way. Buy this game if you love open world games!

Pretty decent game for the price on sale. Im already halfway through the game and im interested in the game DLC. I admit that i haven't even so much aa opened the sound track case. Gaming music really hasn't been my thing. I like the design of the game and feel as though critics have been a little to hard on this title. I like the game and am hoping for a sequel later on down the road.

Thr game is about as rough around the edges as any other game people hype about...really fun to play, huge open world and plenty of magic fun! Game has a lot of talking in the beginning but once your pass all that its worth a play. Story isnt bad maybe just a better excution...love talking to my buddy "vambrace"

The battle system and open world is great and the way you traverse the world is so fun. Switching between magic styles is pretty seamless during combat as well. The world is huge with all kinds of things to keep you busy for awhile.

I really wanted to love this game. I've been hyped for it since it was announced, and had decided that I still wanted to play it despite the reviewers who were mostly saying it wasn't worth it. I don't think Forspoken necessarily a bad game, but I must confess disappointment. First of all, this game is buggier than a AAA priced game has any right to be. Framerate drops are significant enough for even someone like me to notice. I like the story and main character well enough to continue with the main quests, but unusually for me, I find I'm not very interested at all in exploration (the world feels rather one note) or doing side quests (something I tend to do in other open world games like the Horizon games or Assassin's Creed.) While I don't hate the combat, I don't really like it either, which is bad because most of the game is combat. Having recently finished God of War Ragnarok and absolutely loving that combat, it was just such a downgrade for me. I have yet to finish the game, and I'm finding the motivation to continue waning, but I think if I just focus on the main story to the exclusion of all else, I'll find some entertainment. 3 stars because again, not a terrible game. Just really disappointing and not worth full price. Beautiful steelbook though.

The story for this game is awful, the pacing, dialogue, and characters are bland at best and bad at worst. The world feels empty and the enemies feel very bullet spongey, but man, the gameplay, movement and overall combat are SO satisfying that it is worth getting on its own. Pick this up on sale, don’t spend $70 on this

Writing this here for the history books because Forspoken might be the biggest game I've seen review bombed from fans and critics. The game is pretty good. Is it the best game ever or a game of the year contender? No. But it's fun, the combat and movement systems are really fast and cool.
