Easily One of the Best Racers of all Time!!

I will make this short and sweet. This is without question one of the best racing games of all time. The Horizon series is really a middel of the road racer. Its not a hard core simulation racer and its not an arcade racer. Its a series that has found a middle ground between the two. I am a HUGE fan of the regular Forza series as I enjoy simulation racers as they really test your skills FAR more than other racers, yet I also love really great arcade racers. Project Gotham Racing was an arcade racer is its one of my all time favorite racing series. Burnout is anoher arcade racer and that is another of my all time favorite series. I really wish we could get new installments from both of those series, but as great as those series are, they simply don't match up to Horizon. IMO, its one of the top 3 recers ever released in both arcade and simulation genre's. Not only is it incredibly highly polished, the sheer number of modes, the amazing selection of cars, and the massive amount of terrain one can drive over (this games takes place in Austrailia) is nohing short of mind blowing. Bottom line - even if your just a casual fan of racing games you owe it to yourself to at least give this game a try. If your a big fan of racing games they you should have already purchased this and if you haven't, it should be the very next purchase on your games to buy list. I own both a Playstation, Xbox, and a gaming PC and IMO the Forza series is now the premiere racing series on the market and I love that it offers the regular Forza title for serious simulation fans and Horizon for fans who want a bit more of an arcae racer. No other series on the gaing market matches the Forza series and each game has been better than the last. If there is one testement to just how great this game is, its the fact that I buy every Forza game the day it comes out and I RARELY ever do that. 95% of the games I buy I wait until the price has come down to $29.99 and many games I wait until $19.99. The fact that I buy Forza games for $59.99 without hesitation shows just how much I hthink of this series and given the amount of time I spend playing each of the Forza titles, $59.99 is an absolute steal. I am lucky if I get 12-15 hours from most games I buy, but I literally put hundreds of hours into Forza games. I a already over 140 hours played on Forza Horizon 3. Do yourself a favor and buy this game! You will not be disappointed!!

Forza Horizon 3 has expanded on the Horizon series with a much larger open world (two times the size of the FH2 and four times the size of FH1), a large car list, CO-OP Campaign, a first for the series, wide bodykits, and overall an amazing game. In this edition of the Horizon series, you are the boss of the Horizon festival located out in Australia. You also have the power to recreate events into dream events with the new blueprint mode. The blueprint mode allows you change the settings of the current race you're about to join. You simply adjust the weather, time of day, what cars are to be allowed in, the amount of laps to race around in, renaming the race, etc. Bucket lists can also be created instead of changed. You simply choose a car you own, the choose one of the different modes, and then you choose the location. Simple as that. The car list has also been expanded since Horizon 2. Now supporting over 350 cars but however the real star of the show being wide bodykits and much more visual customization. You can even put a Liberty Walk kit on a Ferrari. I don't even know how Forza did it but they did. The handling model has improved quite a bit. The graphics look spectacular, a nearly locked 30FPS at 1080p is still in effect, tuning is back, a new drift mode has been implemented, also a new drone mode for video content, upgrading your festival how you'd like, more stuff to do, brighter more vivid colors, Xbox Play Anywhere Program, DMX is in the game, HDR capability, naming and creating your avatar character, Hiring friends for bringing in festival upgrades, the world is much more open, and FRIGGIN CO-OP!! Pros: Amazing graphics Brilliant Race Editor Mode Own it on the Xbox One and get it for the PC free digitally A locked 1080p30FPS Colorful Larger Open World Wide Bodykits Awesome Soundtrack Drone Mode Co-op Gameplay Improved physics

I am an AVID video gamer to say the VERY LEAST, BUT not a big racing game video gamer since Ridge Racer, Mario Kart and, last but not least, (my FAVORITE), BURNOUT!!! I kept hearing how AMAZING this game is/was but none the less, I kept waiting and waiting. Then Forza 4, 5, 6 and now 7 came has since come, ALL with Good to Great to AMAZING Reviews but I still digressed. Then the Hot Wheel's expansion came out...Got my interest. Then I bought an Xbox One X and was FINALLY able to use my 4K HDR TV's true potential (since I only have the OG XB1). Long story short, after reading MANY reviews and playing Forza Horizon 7 in TRUE 4K HDR I decided to take the plunge... BACKWARDS!!! That's right, after all the sequels, there is a reason Microsoft Studios keeps adding, updating and expanding upon F.H.3 because, "If it's not broke and already near perfect as well as beautiful just keep Polishing it until it blinds you with Perfection!!!" I WISH THEY DID IT WITH HALO 1!!! Anyway, jump on this deal NOW and get the Hot Wheel's Expansion while you are at it, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!! P.S. Ever wonder why this old game STILL costs so much, EVEN on sale!? You'll soon find out ;-)

Forza Horizon returns! This time the Festival visits Australia which was a good choice for scenic purposes. Now, I am not a car guy, I literally know nothing about cars. But I bought Horizon 2 on Black Friday two years ago and I loved it. So I had high expectations for Horizon 3. It delivers on those expectations. The game immediately tosses you in as the Festival leader for the first time, walking you through new features like hiring drivatars to work for the Festival, hiring radio stations, or building a fan base through both races and stunt events. Showcase events are back and the game pretty much kicks off with the showcase that is shown in many of the trailers, where you race a huge double-rotor helicopter. I bought the Early Access because I am out of town next week and I really wanted to play ASAP, and I'm glad I did. It's been fun. Horizon 3 is an easy game to pick up, but you can make it as challenging as you would like. There's a lot of flexibility and customization, but at the same time it's not overwhelming. Many features and vehicles from previous Forza games return. The graphics look great, especially the Australian environment and sky. There are a ton of songs to listen to as you play, from EDM to classical, or just drive in silence. I highly recommend buying this game if you are a car person or a driving simulator enthusiast. The game has a 91 on Metacritic, so they must have done something right with this game. I have loved it and look forward to playing it in the weeks ahead.

Forza Horizon is already a must-buy for Xbox owners, unless they absolutely hate open-world games and/or cars. The game is fun to play, you can have hundreds of hours playing the regular game, DLC in its majority only includes cars, there are 2 expansion DLC (every now and then discounted at the Store) that take you to other maps to continue racing and showing off your skills (And in case you don't know, Hot Wheels is one of the expansions, so Forza Horizon 3 is the best open-world racer, AND the best Hot Wheels game in the decade, to say the least) Lots of collectibles, Bucket Lists (which are FUN!), Showcase events(You doing something either impossible on real life, or extremely expensive to pull off... like you going for a race against a Fighter Jet... AND WINNING!) And the icing on the cake: On FH3 YOU are the boss of the festival, so you can customize events and even make your own bucket list events. All in a huge map based off Australia, it's so big that driving around (when you have driven all roads for completion purposes and to find collectibles) gets old and you'll fast travel a lot. Or not. Drive on the asphalt, go off road, or do both, you choose how to get from point A to B.

I have only been in the Xbox world for slightly over a year but I have all the Forza Horizon games in my library already (and mostly completed!). That is a testament to how good the franchise is. When This game Forza Horizon 3 came out I went all in on the super deluxe version ($20 off thanks to Best Buy GCU!) and I am loving it. The Australia back drop is beautiful and offers all kinds of racing variety. The graphics are the best on Xbox One. The new features where you can build events and share them is awesome and will keep the game fresh for years. The game will appeal to casual racers as well as more hard core people who want to tune their cars. At first I didn't like the soundtrack as much as previous Horizon games but it has grown on me, also you can add your own radio channel tailored to your liking with a paid music service available on Xbox One. As an ultimate edition owner I get monthly car packs and also bonus XP and $ on all events to rank up faster and buy new cars quicker). I normally don't buy the super deluxe versions of games but I knew with Forza Horizon I would not have to worry because they always provide a quality experience/product.

I've been playing for about 3 hours now and I'm still amazed at how fantastic this game plays and looks. I bought the Xbox One X just to play this game and I'm absolutely blown away by the visuals with the enhanced graphics and 4k resolution. The game itself is very exciting right off the bat. The off-road/road/water/dirt/mud/snow/rain gives the game such a varied feel. I feel like it's a good balance between arcade vs simulation. Total simulation games like Gran Turismo are awesome but they get boring for me after a while because it feels like more and more of the same. Also they can be difficult because you're trying to nail every single racing line perfectly and it takes away from the fun factor IMO. If you want to mix things up or you have a One X, I would definitely recommend this. The graphics are absolutely stunning! I just wish it had a split screen mode so I could play with my son.

Not having played previous versions and considering the ratings I decided to try this game out. Can't say I would purchase it again if given the opportunity as most of what I spent the first hour doing was listening to what I needed to do via some no-skip cutscenes. At one point I just walked away only so much talking and video one can watch about a game that is driving and attempting to have fun. Seriously - let me set up a race and run it. I'm at the second festival in and street racing now and feel like I'm always just one win away from yet another unskippable cut scene that will instruct me in how to gain points of some variety to unlock yet more misc stuff. I just want to race and a fun game, not learn what a GPS or this next piece of equipment can do via unskippable cutscenes or get a drone assist or sign radio stations for festivals. Eh, perhaps I wanted Gran Turismo again with some flare as opposed to an MS game. My lawn, get off it.

While I didn't get this right away, I'm very thankful I got this on a price match. That said, this was worth the wait for any Forza Horizon fans! I started playing the series last year - partially thanks to the first one being a free title for gold members. Then a friend gave me the second one for Christmas and that one really excelled. This one goes bonkers in the best way possible. If you've felt limited by the other maps (first off, how?) then this will give you a lot to munch on. The design is gorgeous, the mechanics are quite good, and the sound is pretty robust. Plus, if you utilize Onedrive for your music, you can use your own playlists seamlessly in the game. Honestly, while DLC is a rather cringe-inducing item, I'm tempted to get the Hot Wheels expansion - but I could also wait to get it on sale too! Do you want to be challenged? Do you like a massive variety of cars? Do you also like surprises all over? This is for you!

I got tired of the original Horizon fairly quickly (skipped Horizon 2), but decided to give it another shot with Horizon 3 and I'm really enjoying it. Great locations, graphics are great, and of course lots of dream cars to customize. Tons of events, I've spent over 40 hours playing and still have things to do in the game. One of the things I like best is being able to set up events for whatever car you are driving. Don't feel like racing a particular class? You don't have to. I wish the force feedback with a racing wheel was better though. Forza 6 is fabulous with a wheel, but Horizon 3 it just feels so numb I went back to using a controller instead and was much happier. Overall, great racing game though, for either racing fans or even if you just want to cruise some pretty roads in a fast car.

The game is wonderful, there are so many varieties of activities to do and tons of cars to do them with. There are plenty of reviews on how great the game is. The not so great - The customization of physical appearance is pretty limited. Don't expect to have 5-10 body kits, hoods, headlights, etc. its not like NFS at all. There are a lot of opportunities for performance customization and paint/decals, but not for bodywork. The DLC feels like a huge money grab (surprise). The car pass is $30 for 40 something cars. The expansion is $20 or the pass (for 2 expansions) is $35. The VIP pass, which is a couple cars and better in game credit rewards is $20. If you want it all you will pay a huge premium. The good news is the base game has SO much content you will be happy for a long time!

The free roam is great, but some races require you to drive through fields in sports cars which just doesn’t make sense cause you can’t even see over some of the weeds and nobody would actually do that with a sports car. Some of the racing experience is a bit diluted as you can cut corners (and the AI cars can’t) and just doesn’t feel as immersive as the track-only Forza games. If arcade-type racing is your style then I’d highly recommend it because you can go thrashing through things while still having realistic driving dynamics (different surfaces offer different grips levels and the overall dynamics seem realistic).

Wow, the graphics on this game are absolutely stunning, especially on an Xbox One S and 4K HDR capable TV. Luckily, the gameplay more than matches the looks. Whether you are a car enthusiast or casual racing fan, you should be able to find plenty to keep you coming back. Anybody familiar with the Forza series should feel right at home and even someone who has never played a Forza game should still feel comfortable as the game is intuitive and does a great job of explaining what is going on. The ability to play with friends online through a co-op career mode is a great add to the series and it's as much fun to just ride around admiring the scenery and completing side objectives as it is going through the different racing circuits. Definitely worth a purchase.

Forza Horizon 3 is a masterclass in open-world racing and bigger and better than its excellent predecessor across the board. It looks fantastic, the car selection and customisation is second to none, and the size and variety of the sprawling Australian outback is magnificent. Above all, Horizon 3 never loses sight of the fact that tearing through postcard-perfect locations should be fun, and it puts the tools in our hands to keep it that way, always. This is the racing game I’ve been waiting for, and it's officially my favourite thing on four wheels. A fair dinkum triumph, mates.

Overall, this game is very entertaining. Here is a list of pros and cons that I have compiled. Pros: 1. This game has amazing graphics. Every time I play, I am amazed by them. When I play, I really feel like I am in Sydney. 2. The open-world concept is once again mind-blowing. You can drive anywhere that you want to. 3. It has a massive selection of cars, including many exotic beauties. Cons: 1. Although this game is very fun, the storyline, in my opinion, gets slightly boring after playing the game for awhile. It is very repetitive. However, I feel like the open-world factor more than makes up for it! Conclusion: This game is very fun and is a must-have for any car enthusiast!!

This is a great game overall. Graphics are great, physics are fantastic and unique races were fun to experience. It's definitely worth the money, BUT I wish the story/career mode was better organized or flowed better. I enjoy having a story to follow giving me a reason I'm in this world such as "The Crew" or "NFS: The Run". I often felt lost trying to figure out how to get to the next cool story or unique race because those are so fun you can't wait to see what craziness the next one will bring. The problem was I didn't have a clear path to get to those. It's a decent game...just could have been done better for how I enjoy racing games.

This in my opinion is the best exclusive Xbox one game. Single player game is great and races aren't repetitive. The game creates avatars based on how players play the game and when they aren't playing they will be driving around on your single player game where you can challenge the avatar to a race making each race a different experience. The multi player is great as well and all the different events are very entertaining. With any video game I suggest everyone watch YouTube videos of the games and see if it's something you can get into. But if you like NoN simulation racing games where you can just have fun, this game is it!

The game is easy to start up and play without a huge learning curve. The graphics are great and the amount of cars available is almost overwhelming (in a good way). That said, the game can get a little monotonous if you're playing for a long time. Also, I wish there was the option of saving more than one game instead of just one. Because there are so many options depending on what cars you buy, how you expand your festival, it would have been nice to be able to save multiple games. Overall, I've really enjoyed the game so far and would recommend it to anyone looking for a racing game.

I've been a fan of Forza since Forza 2 and started falling off around Forza 5. Having lost my faith in the franchise I never bothered to get any of the Horizons until now. They basically picked up where Atari and Eden Games left off with the Test Drive Unlimited(s). The map could be a bit bigger in my opinion and with this being the largest yet I'm guessing the other Horizons were pretty small. None of this really matters as Turn 10 has produced a great game in this. As an avid car enthusiast and graphic designer I would recommend this especially if you're someone like me that spends hours upon hours in the livery. Hope this helps.
