I purchased Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition for my son on release day. He has 3 and loves it, and over the last year I have purchased all these extras that Ultimate comes with, and spent more money getting them individually. I do not have the Xbox One X, just the Xbox One S...but the graphics are insane on a 4K TV. I can't even imagine what they look like running on an X with enhanced graphics. A lot of new gameplay in FH4, without a doubt it is the best Horizon release ever! If you want to get your kids/teens a good exciting game that is NOT based on violence then grab this game for Christmas!!

FH4 is fun for any car guru with all kinds of cars

Forza Horizon 4 is a nice addition to the Horizon series. The game taking place in the UK is a great touch and the added seasons make each race feel fresh and different. The game's visual looks stunning and captivating. I am playing the game on a Original Xbox One and 1080P TV and it still holds up well. (Will provide some in-game captures from the game down below) They also address and fixed some issues from Horizon 3. For example, the NPCs cars will ghost out and cannot hit you when you are doing a speed trap or drift run challenge. Also, when you are playing through the game via singleplayer other players will also be ghosted out so they cannot deliberately grief or annoy you. However, my main problem is that the AI could be improved and certain AI can outperform you in the cross-country section if you turned on Simulation damage and steering. Lastly, I do not like the fact that certain cars could only be won through chance and cannot be purchased with credits you earned in-game. Despite these problems, the game is still a nice entry to the series and with weekly content and changes you can get a lot of hours and enjoyment with this game.

First things first, I am playing this game on an Xbox One X connected to a Sony 4K TV with HDR. Let me tell you, this is one of the most incredible looking games I have ever seen. Seriously, ever. I'm the type of person who loves graphics and this one really blew me away. The game overall is incredible. The mechanics are top notch, controls feel solid and realistic, not too arcade style like Need for Speed but more user friendly than Forza Motorsport 7. The weekly seasons are such a nice refresh, every week it feels like a new game. The cars are so detailed down to every inch of the interior. Customization is unreal, you can turn your car into whatever your imagination can come up with. My only reason I didn't give this a 5 stars is because I felt the story was lackluster. While the map is massive with so many things to do (Bonus boards, Speed Traps, Stunts, and much more) the story really didn't draw me in like the last Horizon games. All you do is quick little side missions for different types of people around the map but there was no depth to them. The previous games you worked your way up to becoming the Horizon champion, that felt rewarding. Other than the story, this game is amazing. If you've played the last Horizon games you will definitely enjoy this one! Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Forza Horizon has always been a nice companion game for the main series. Really enjoy the setting of the latest game and of course it's jam packed with cars. The changing seasons bring a new twist and the Forzathon Live events that gets other players on your map to gather are pretty fun. Great racing game.

Our 15 year old son is a big Forza player on X-Box and previously played Forza 3. This Forza 4 Ultimate is even superior to #3 (which was excellent too). The graphics are incredibly clear, road courses are challenging, scenery is so accurately portrayed you won't believe it. Having been to a particular castle in Scotland, while we were viewing the Forza cars driving along the roads to the castle we could NOT believe they are ACTUALLY depicted JUST AS THEY ARE in reality! So many types of cars available on Forza 4 and they are incredibly responsive and very exotic, a HUGE selection to choose from. For the gamer who is a driving enthusiast, Forza 4 is truly exceptional. Be sure to get the driving wheel, gear shift, and pedals to complete the full experience. You will be AMAZED! Can't recommend this highly enough!

Worth the money. Would definitely recommend. Graphics are second to none. Hundreds of vehicles and customizations. Seasons awesome and a great dynamic like having mutiple games in one.

Best graphics I've ever seen. So many cars more than any other game. Fun to drive around open world. Ultimate Edition gives you so much value including 2 yet to be released expansions!

What is not to love, Best Buy had a rare promotion on FH4 Ultimate for ~$33. Great value, you get the Lego add on, more cars, more bonuses. What an awesome game, with the optional always online mode you can always find something or someone to hang with. This edition of the game also is compatible for play anywhere meaning you can play on a Windows 10 machine. With a GTX 1080 TI I can play this game in true 4k, with all graphics turned to level 11 and achieve 60fps or higher! Great game!

I'm a fan of racing games. More of the arcade side than the pure sim side. This game gives you to options to tweak your car endlessly, or you can just drive and go. You go through a bunch of different events. You play online with others. Each week a season changes. It's a ton of fun. The Ultimate Edition makes sure she keep getting new cars all the time. It will give you access to the expansions when they release. Definitely worth your purchase.

This series just keeps getting better and better. The graphics are stunning on my 4k tv with HDR. Bought the deluxe edition and I have to say I'm glad I did. Tons of content and achievements to unlock. The game plays fantastic as always and is able to be super challenging or just right difficulty. If you like open world car games this is a no brainers. Buy this game now and prepare for an incredible experience.

It's a beautiful game. But the world seems much smaller than FH3 (even if it isnt, it feels that way to me). Racing is the same as previous FH games, but changing seasons alters things. The seasons changing adds a bit of depth to the game, but its frustrating that the seasons are unable to be controlled by the player, and they last for a full week. I found myself in winter while working through most of the campaign, which made things a bit frustrating. Also, opposing cars AI seemed to have no problems turning tight corners on snow/ice at speed in a RWD vehicle, which is incredibly unrealistic (i know, its a game). It's a beautiful game, but little small things make it nowhere near as fun as FH3, sadly. I was hoping for good things from this game.

I was completely hooked on Horizon 3. Then went back to play 2 and have been waiting for 4 all summer. All the great Horizon features on a whole new continent. I have played through the first year and attained roster status. So far it's excellent with great new challenges. Lots of new vehicles and some upgrades to the player interface that make it much better than 3 - for example you can swap cars anywhere without getting charged for a delivery. There's also new tangents of play like business and career. This game should keep me busy for quite a while. As for the Ultimate edition, it is definitely worth the extra $$$. VIP status really helps score more credits sooner and also win better cars. The car packs are a good selection, the car pass is a great way to score new cars each week, and I'm sure the expansions will be worth it when they come out too. My only complaint is the completion "room" you end up in while getting victory points and also while starting new races. It seems very cheesy. And I really hate not seeing what happens after you cross the finish line. That's the only downfall for me, but my kids think it's cool, so to each his own.

The Horizon series see itself grow to a new region, but this time with changing seasons! Horizon 3 had the snowy expansion, but Horizon 4 sees the season change across the whole map every week! This is a welcome new addition that brings new challenges and experiences to gameplay. That along with other changes make Horizon 4 a fantastic addition to the series and a must have for racing game fans!

I've enjoyed all the games in the Forza Horizon series, and I feel that FH4 is the best of them all! There's a wealth of activities that litter the map at all times, you will never lack for things to do. The integration of online play into the open world is welcome - and shows how far ahead of its time Test drive Unlimited was.

I have been with the turn 10 franchise since horizon 3, so my saying is only limited to my experience, but that being said, this game is amazing. The update in graphics quality and physics rendering is a welcome one, and I play on one x, so it takes full advantage of the new updates. The cars are refined, and the wheel view is appreciated. The 2 downfalls are though some of the car sounds, and the clothing feature added in. I know the idea behind it, and how it ties to the rest of the game but its really aggravating when thats all you get on wheel spins. I feel cheated, and its a complete waste of wheel spin. Also some of the car sounds need to be patched as they are not accurate anymore. Ex: Camaro ZL1. Horizon 3, Amazing. This game, completely ruined the sound. Minor things though. Love it otherwise! And my little Request for the team. Defender 110 Please! Its my dream car,and Id love to see one come into the game! And how do you find/buy the 1970's Range Rover?? I see it in adds, and in game driving around, but do not see it in the store! Where do I find it??

This is The 4th entry into the Horizon series. It’s open world arcade racing at its finest. They have built upon all the great aspects of the previous games to make the pinnacle of the series. There are too many features to describe. If you enjoy racing games, you will not be disappointed.

Between the native 4k, the open world, and the online multiplayer, there doesn’t leave much room for complaints. Add in the changing of seasons, and you’ve got yourself one of the best racing games I’ve ever played, and I’ve played a lot. Handles better than previous entries as well.

Outstanding, especially on the Xbox One X. Probably the best looking racing game ever made. They fixed a lot of the little things in prior versions, like being able to ghost through cars in drift challenge zones, and if you have prior Forza games you get bonus content to start with.
