This watch wasn’t nearly as good as my Samsung watch. The software doesn’t work well, the battery doesn’t last as long and the quality and placement of the buttons is not great. Had to return it.

Awesome watch with all the features needed for fitness and daily use It tracks heart rate steps, activity, & sleep Has GPS and NFC for payments. Battery lasts all day, but only because I turn off the WiFi when it's not being used. Overall happy with this purchase.

For a watch it's a little uncomfortable, the band leaves Mark's or rolls around. Metal link watches are where it's at, most silicone band watches aren't that great. Would recommend this watch if it's on sale otherwise find a different one.

    One of Wear OS's Best

There are a lot of mixed reviews on this watch. Many complain about battery life and performance, while others would buy this again and again. Based on my number of stars, you can probably guess where I stand. I'll keep this short and give you the highlights: - Performance is fine. Perfect? No, but the fact is that no Wear OS watch has perfect performance at this point. It gets a little jittery at times and lags on occasion, but it's a solid performer, overall. Just don't expect perfect performance from anything running Wear OS at the moment. - Design is gorgeous. It's one of the most attractive and classic watches on the market. I bought the black case with the silicone band. Initially, I was afraid that the band would make it look too sporty and less classic and wearable every day. The black case is the best looking, in my opinion. Adding a different band of my choice makes the watch fit any occasion. This watch is bigger than you may expect, so the colored cases might be a little too noticeable for some. Everyone has their own style. Whatever color and band you choose, you'll have a fine looking timepiece on your wrist. - Battery life is decent, but there are better watches for battery life. TicWatches are a good example of that. That being said, I don't find it to be all that bad. With WiFi set to automatic, Always-On Display turned on, Touch-to-Wake enabled a custom watch face running and heart rate being read every 20 minutes, I'll end my day with anywhere between 50-60% left after about 15 hrs. That's with an average amount of notifications coming in and being interacted with. With Tilt-to-Wake enabled, it dies a little quicker, but I'll still have around 40% left at the end of 15 hrs. Again, there are better watches out there, but this watch's battery life is fine for me. Keep in mind, too, that the battery life on this watch is not uncommon for a Wear OS device. - Display is great. Nice and bright, big enough, too. I wish that the bezel around the display wasn't so big, but you really won't notice it in day-to-day use. - Software is up-to-date, which is really important. This watch was recently updated to the latest version of Android and Wear OS. Why is this important? It means that Fossil is supporting their products well. Fossil might be the first company to push the latest Android update to their watches. If having up-to-date software is important to you, which it should be, get a Fossil. - Water resistance is great. It's rated for up to 150 feet. That's the best as they come, and it's great reassurance. Feel free to run it under some water to clean it up, and don't be afraid to swim with it. It'll be fine. So, is this watch perfect? By no means. The fact is that no Wear OS watch is perfect. They come with their issues and limitations. This watch has those same ones, but it handles them well. There are so many strengths, though. The Fossil Explorist HR is packed with every feature you can get in a Wear OS device today, and they work great. Is this watch worth getting? Absolutely.

This watch is great for the everyday person. The only catch is that you cannot respond to messages from the watch directly but from your phone. Other then that its a great purchase!

Battery life is horrible! Stepped out on a limb and got away from my Apple watch and iPhone, got an Android and this watch hated them both!! This review has nothing to do with best buy and everything to do with Android! Mine didn't even last a two days before I was fed up and took it back, my gf lasted a week, but I'm returning hers tomorrow!

This watch is super responsive compared to my previous Wear24 from VZW. The ability to change the bands with any standard 22mm band is also a plus!
