Nice sized screen, responsive, you can talk through it. Not a lot of companies are making big advances in Android Wear unfortunately, the tech in this isn't leaps and bounds ahead of other watches made around the same time. What it does do differently is look nice and professional, I am fine with a crazy hacked together device but I know a lot of the older generations held off on smart watches since they didn't 'look professional'. This one should work for them, and anyone else needing a smart watch.

I bought this watch as a gift for my boyfriend. He has loved it since the day he took it out of the box, and only takes it off at night to charge! He loves the ease of answering phone calls and viewing notifications on his watch, especially during work or active hours when pulling a phone out of his pocket would be a hassle. He’s a big guy and he still had to take a couple of links off for his wrist, so it is definitely a one size fits all! Best of all he loves the look. He’s not a fan of the silicone or “active” wristbands. This gives the look of luxury, and the feel of it too. I would recommend this product for any android owner!

Best Wear OS watch I have ever owned

The only thing I could ask for is a bit better battery life. I own a OnePlus 6t and the main reason I went with Wear OS over the Galaxy line is the Galaxy watches can not dismiss ringing alarms. You can see that an alarm is going to go off and disable it, but after it starts you have to pull out your phone. You can reply to messages, take phone calls, add apps from the Play Store, and customize the watch without needing to pull out your phone. The rotating crown is not something I use but I suppose there will be some who prefer it to just using the touch screen. The watch band is very comfortable and easily replaceable if you need to.

I really enjoy using this fossil smartwatch. Unlike the apple watches, this looks less like a toy and more of a classic watch. I haven't bought new bands, but the one it comes with is very nice. The watch isn't perfect, but I don't believe it's the fault of fossil. Wear os needs improvement, it feels a little barebones compared to watchos.

    Medicore smartwatch functionality, small battery

Battery life barely lasts through a work day. Google Assistant via holding the Assistant button fails to connect to servers ~20% of the time. The OS is chugs when interacting with the screen. The watch is a convenient way to be alerted to notifications. I keep hoping that the watch will gain some great functionality due to integration with Android, but nothing striking is yet available. The watch is well-built and attractive. It's a good choice if you're interested in style and just want a device for notifying you when you've received notifications. If you're into gadgets, it's fun to have, but don't expect an experience as in depth or consitent as the Apple Watch.

worth every penny . awesome weight for a high end watch awesome features. many choices for the display. I do not use many of the features and over a 12 hour shift every night i have never gotten the battery below 65%. it did take me a little while to get it set up but i am old and i bought this and my first ever smart phone at the same time so it took me a bit to figure out what was going on but if you are smart phone savvy you shouldn't have any issues. i wanted a smart watch but i wanted a nice one not one that looks like i was on the way to the gym

Thanks to the recent WearOS update, the performance is snappier and apps run smoothly. It's not apple or Tizen but it'll do the job. Battery life of not the greatest but I don't typically wear any smart watch longer than 10 hours before I take it off, charge it and power off.

watch looks and works great with my android phone. Only problems is if you want to connect it to a work profile on your phone it will not work. Google apparently does not support this. This was the ONLY reason I didn't keep this watch. Otherwise its a great watch and would have gotten 5 stars.

I really LOVE this watch. The enhancements between the 4th and 5th gen are really worth it. I can wear it for about 2-3 days if I set the settings to extend. It is great to have when working and don't want to be looking at your phone constantly. It is also very sleek on your hand. I have received a lot of compliments about it on my wrist from coworkers to strangers. I honestly feel naked without it, if I forget to put it on after a shower. It is water-resistant to a certain point and has a great feel to it. I would definitely recommend it.

I was looking for a good smartwatch that works with my diabetic pump. This works great. I would like the battery life to be a bit longer, but it usually makes it from 7 am - 10 pm. I like the customizable watch faces and I have had compliments on how it looks from strangers.

I read a lot of reviews knocking Wear OS. This is my first smartwatch so I had to weigh everything out, especially since smart watches aren't cheap. Personally, I don't see any issues with this one. Performance is excellent, the look and feel are great quality, and I have found it to have all the flexibility to customizing the face and the 2 auxiliary buttons that I could ask for (the middle crown is a fixed function). The locking clasp feels like it will keep this from getting loose and lost. This one is a keeper for me.

Made the change from Samsung Tizen to Wear OS and im not looking back. The only thing that is still a pain is the battery life. On daily mode, it's almost dead by 5. Have to turn on a custom setting with hardly anything turned on

Daily setting lasted me 6 1/2 hours. Extended setting barely made it to 8 hours but I changed the setting half day to allow gps to count steps. The quality of the watch is nice and all but I can't even use it as a step counter/ heart rate monitor with battery life constantly at the back of my mind. My Samsung gear sport from can last me almost 3 days on a single charge without me having to tinker with all the settings. We shall see how much more tinkering I got to do for it to last me an actual day. If not, this might just end up being a secondary watch for me. I wouldn't recommend this watch at full price.

This watch is probably good for android phones but not for iPhone. The features are limited. To receive text messages you will have download an app on the watch to receive them. You will not receive iMessages on the phone. You won’t be able to receive WhatsApp messages. The main problem for me was not to be able to connect with my iPhone via Bluetooth. It would show as connected but when I went to change something on the watch, I would have do it and my iPhone but then it showed that my watch is not connected to phone even when both of them were next to each other. Not a good watch for iPhone.

Better For Me Than The Samsung Galaxy Active 2

I bought this watch on 6/11/2020, mainly for going to the gym, but it's great for everyday notifications as well. Can't forget about the NFC feature which saves time at participating retailers. However...there were a couple of really minor annoyances. Like syncing the watch to my Samsung phone. Basically the watch does not auto connect via Bluetooth to your phone once you've paired it. So you have to turn the bluetooth off on your phone and then turn it on while simultaneously activating the Bluetooth on the watch. The watch says disconnected, but once you switch the watch screen to something other and come back to the Bluetooth connection screen the watch should now be in "connected" status to your phone. I wish the watch auto paired but every piece of tech has a quirk. It's late October 2020 and I was curious if a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 would be a better choice. Initially it looked like it was, but in less than a week the Spotify app on it got really quirky...to the point that I couldn't justify it over the Fossil Gen 5. When you switch tracks on the Fossil the screen updates with the song title etc. This feature on the Samsung worked for a minute, then stopped. Maybe it was an update, but it's obvious that Fossil has this area under control. Imagine going to the movies and there were literally different movies playing but they all had the same title.... That's what the Samsung does. You can skip through your tracks but the watch screen does not change accordingly. This is way more annoying than the lack of auto connection. The Samsung is going back. Kudos Fossil!

I was hesitant to buy this watch, due to negative comments about its battery life. However, after using it for about a week, I have not had issues with that. Battery usually lasts about two days. I use an option to optimize battery life. The watch is elegant, I am not a sportsperson, so I am not concern about doing exercise with it. However, it has a lot of features and you can control your exercises and heart rate.
