…And it’s a good Smartwatch. The display is clear, crisp, and bright. The silicone band is very comfortable, and can be switched out for others. It has a nice overall classy yet understated look. I especially like how it doesn’t look like a typical smartwatch, but rather like a regular watch. The touchscreen responds well, and you can customize many, many aspects of the watch, such as the watch faces and the physical buttons. There are different battery modes to choose from, depending on how you want to use the watch on a daily basis. The battery itself charges pretty fast. There is an included proprietary charge cable, but you have to supply the charger (the part that plugs into the wall; it takes a USB-A connection). It has good activity tracking, blood oxygen measurements, heart rate tracking, and sleep tracking. I paired it with my iPhone, and all notifications worked flawlessly; I was able to receive and make calls, texts, and get email alerts. The speaker was solid and not too tinny sounding. It uses WearOS from Google, so you have to download the app in order to set up the watch and maintain various functions. It also responds to “OK Google” AI functionality. As I previously stated, I use it with my Apple Watch but it is compatible with either Android or Apple. For reference, I have experience with three other smartwatches—Apple, FitBit, and Citizen ones, and similar to my Citizen smartwatch, I really like that this Fossil Smartwatch has both looks and functionality. Even though my Apple watch works better overall for me since it works in tandem with my iPhone (they’re both in the Apple ecosystem), I still prefer using this Fossil smartwatch because it both looks good and works well, whereas the Apple and FitBit watches look so boxy and plain.

Watch is so nice. Fits for the hand , looks so lovely. But it has to charge over night for using it in the Morning approximately 7-8 hours

I gave up on Android Wear for many years because my previous watch was laggy, had connectivity issues, charging issues, etc. I finally decided to try a new one and got this Fossil 6 and I see nothing has changed with Android Wear devices. While sitting on the charger it will constantly disconnect and reconnect to the charger no matter how I move it. Which causes the device to get very hot. Then it won't hold a charge and go from 100% down to dead in only a few hours without even doing anything on it. It constantly disconnects from my phone or when playing music it will stop showing the music controls on the watch and I'll lose that convenience. Then when it finally reconnects it'll mess up what's playing. Within about 4 months I was already sick of this thing. I only used this to track my workouts and control my music while working out and it couldn't even handle that. It still doesn't hold a charge, I think maybe the charging issue fried something.

I got the new Fossil watch for me and my wife. It's our first smartwatch and I've heard nothing but great reviews about the Gen 5 so we had to jump on the Gen 6. So far so good for our first watch. Definitely got to get used to small batteries on small devices. They last for about a day and a half. The main thing we use it for is texting when we can't get to our phone at work. I heard after the first of the year it's going to get the new Android operating system so I'm assuming it's only going to get better soon.

Great watch. Fossil is one of the best smartwatch brands I've found. I'll definitely be sticking with them from now on.

The watch would be great if it didnt lose connection to the phone. So the watch remembers my phone, but after a few days, the wearOS app forgets the watch and i have to reset the watch to be able to pair to phone again. Its annoying especially when you have to update watch all over again. Returning for that alone.

I really wanted to like this watch. I do really like that it can take calls, the OS is snappy, and the crown spins to help navigate the OS well. However, the OS is outdated and difficult to use. I would wait for Wear OS 3 to come out before buying it. If you want to primarily use it for exercise, Id recommend Garmin or Fitbit.

Decent watch, Got this for my girlfriend for Christmas. does the job. Battery life is decent.. Lasts the full day.. put it on in the am and last until bedtime.. change it overnight. Decent size. Unfortunately launched with older version of wear os.. Samsung has an exclusivity to wear 3.0 at the moment.. hopefully will improve with an update. They say it's going to happen but no date as of when it will happen.

I love my fossil gen 6 smart watch. I have used Motorola and Huawei watches in the past and I have to say the battery life usually gives me between 36-48 hours. I had to change my charging habits. It only takes about an hour to charge fully from 5%. Super fast and snappy. First wear os watch that actually feels usable.

After the update it disables Google Assistant and you can only use Alexa. Don't take away functionality. I bought the watch because I could use the assistant and now I can't. I won't be buying another fossil watch.

BAD: Had it for a couple weeks and dealt with customer support several times for a hand full of bugs. The step count on the watch does not reset and the app syncs data incorrectly. Manual heart rate check worked sometimes otherwise the watch needed to be reset. OK: Battery life is good when you are just using Bluetooth but when WiFi is on you probably barely get 8hrs. But without WiFi you could not check the weather. Wear OS2 is a little clunky but OS3 is smooth. The color screen looked nice and did not feel cheap on the wrist. If the bugs are fixed I could recommend it but with no patch ETA it is not worth it even for the sale price. Since it can not basic advertised functions I had to return it.

If you’re looking for a smartwatch loaded with features, check out the Fossil Gen 6. The Gen 6 has a 44mm AMOLED screen that is quite bright indoors or out. You have a choice of a sporty rubber band for $299 or $319 for a more formal stainless steel band. It will connect with your smartphone and offer notifications on your watch as well as let you know who’s calling. With your smartphone attached you can even make and receive calls directly on the watch! It’s loaded with fitness features you will find helpful such as heartbeat, blood oxygen and more. You can keep track of these on your smartphone’s Google Wear app. Like the Apple Watch, this Fossil has a rotating dial you can easily turn to change options. This dial can be pressed in to indicate a confirmation of your option. There are also 2 other buttons that are programmable. When you set up the Gen 6, one is tied to NFC payments while the other takes you directly to Google Fit. Installation was quite simple: (1) insert charger under watch and attach USB cable to a power adapter, (2) When you plug it in, your watch’s display will turn on you will be prompted to install Google Wear, (3) confirm passcode number. Your watch is now operational! This all took less that 5 minutes. As much as I liked the watch, there was much that I found problematic. This watch uses Google Wear OS 2, although newer smartwatches like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series use Wear 3. Fossil has promised, however, that Wear 3 will be introduced in 2022. Other watches offer more fitness options than the Gen 6. Hopefully, Wear 3 will address those issues in the future on this watch. I was not impressed with the watch face selection for the Gen 6, especially those pre-installed on the watch. Most of these watch faces did not show vital information such as battery life and fitness numbers. The digital watch faces did not show the seconds. Pricing was yet another issue. Why pay around $300 for a smartwatch, when you can buy a comparable model like the new Samsung smartwatch with a newer operating system for as little as $50 less? The Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch does offer a variety of features that most will find admirable, buy why buy a new watch model with an older operating system? For those who have little experience with smartwatches, they may find that this watch fits the bill. But for those who have researched smartwatches in more detail, this watch is lacking.

The watch works great with Android but not the best with an iPhone. It felt as if it automatically hung up my calls.

Perfect combination of looks and function. Ive been keeping track of my steps, sleeping habits, checking my notifications while my hands are full, and of course it tells time!! The battery ends up around 30-40% after a day, and it's not a significant drain on my phones battery either.
