    Impossible to cancel service

    I gave Freedompop a shot, but it wasn't working out for me. They use the Sprint network and Sprint has very poor coverage where I live. After signing up for a yearly plan for $79.99 I kept getting this one cent charge once or twice a month as an "account maintenance" charge. After three months I canceled and went with Cricket Wireless and ported my phone number over to Cricket. Since I canceled the FP account those one cent charges stopped. The next year they charged me for the yearly service again. Again I canceled the service. A year later they charge me $116. My credit card company warns me of a possible fraudulent charge. I check FP website and find they still never canceled my service, They canceled my yearly $79.99 plan and, without my knowledge, put me on a more expensive monthly plan. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company and locked my credit card. Freedompop will work if you have good Sprint coverage, but refuses to let you cancel an account. I liken the company to a blood sucking leach. I recommend Cricket. Never had a problem with them. If that last $116 charge doesn't get reversed I'll be reporting FP to the BBB, Consumer Affarirs and the Attorney General.

    Stay Far Away Far Far Away!

    I needed a second cell and recently bought a Nokia 6.1 on sale. One of this phones features is Dual Sim! I have cricket wireless (AT&T) on sim 1, no more contracts for me!! and figured I would try freedom pop on sim 2, at $5/month to have another line, it's a no-brainer right? NOPE!! Well to be fair Maybe... if you could actually get it to activate!! Okay then, time to call support. Well it's Overseas support and they are rude, one even hung up on me!! After 3 attempts and 45 minutes later I'm told my phone is not compatible! Printed right on the front in big bold letters (use with any gsm smartphone) Mentioned that to the rep and was asked if i read the little black print at the bottom (compatible with most phones) LOL. As far as the service goes I'm not sure, didn't get that far!! However I can tell you customer service is horrible and all 3 reps was steady trying to up-sale me the whole time I was looking for support. My advice to you is make sure your phone is compatible prior to purchase NO REFUNDS. Feels like I threw a $20 bill in the trash. My advice... Stay Far Away Far Far Away!

    Best Buy = ZERO Complaints so far. FreedomPop =1000 Complaints so far! It's been over a week since I got this sim card. I activated the same day it came, Sat. 9/1. As of today, 9/10 I still have ZERO Cell Service from FreedomPop!! Their customer service and tech support are the absolute WORST EVER! I've done everything they've told me to do, 5 X Now! Each time a different rep had me do something different claiming the previous rep gave me the wrong setup info. The site says the sim is activated but again, I STILL HAVE NO CELL SERVICE! No talk, No text, No data! Just 2 different FreedomPop apps loaded on my phone, and Neither of them work! (Because the Reps and Tech Support can't decide which one is correct for my phone/area!) If I ever get the service working I certainly hope it's better than the service and support I've received so far!

    Can't activate

    Existing FP user for several years. Tried to activate this 12-month prepaid card, FP activation site shows 3 plans to pick, but my plan/sim is already selected and paid for, what the heck? And after picking it asks for CC number and more money. Call FP for help, she took down all info, but before activating asks for $10. She said it's for activating via this service call, even though there's no way to do online. Very disappointed!

    Wrong sim card!!

    I purchased this card and tried to activate it. However, the Freedompop reps were not able to activate it for the 12-month plan because apparently best buy didn’t follow the correct process while selling it. I tried talking to best buy customer service but they denied any wrongdoing and refused the return as well. Now, I am stuck with $50 sim card which cannot be used.

    I returned it for refund after 3 days of frustration. Everything is set up to get money from the customer. It took 2days to figure out how to cancel the service. I then returned the SIM to Best Buy and got a refund. They were fine, but I suggest that they dump Freedom Pop as a cellphone provider.

    Overcharge ripoff

    Started on their very low advertised price. Somehow they have raised the $15mo to $30 now to $40 a mo and I haven't gone over the limits. Looks like some plan upgrade I didn't agree to. Do you need this kind of thing in your life?

    It really hard to get the signal, and hard to installation and the FREEDOM POP customer service is really not that good.. such disappointed. BUT 5 stars for BESTBUY customer service, they that me return for full price for this trash!

    I registered, but when try try to call sb, it said it is not permitted to use, when I try to send a message, either failed or the reciever can't recieve, really disappointed!

    Don't sign up for it because they will charge you long after you canceled. Impossible to reach anyone by phone and you have to pay for actual online support.

    It says unlimited talk and text but if run-out the 1GB data you can not text and talk. They never mentioned that anywhere.

    I ordered this along with a phone from freedom pop. I couldn't get the SIM card to work. There wasn't anyway to activate it. I'm out $50.
