    Fantastic deal if you're careful

I've been a Freedompop subscriber for over two years now. They originally sold service on Sprint's network and we definitely saw issues related to the footprint of the service. The new LTE sims use AT&T's network that provides service over a much larger area. It really is 1Gbps of data and unlimited text and talk. The catch is that the voice and text are technically Voice over IP. If you're at home, your voice and texts will go over your wifi (and the quality is dependent on your home network's speed). I've got 30Mbps cable modem and get Fantastic quality at home. You should be fine with even a DSL connection through. When you're not at home or on wifi, those calls go over AT&T's network and have been great quality so far. I have found that on an iPhone, I get a better experience on my Freedompop phone using Hangouts and Google voice instead of the built in app. Hangouts integrates well with iOS and calls look/feel like normal phone calls. The problem with Hangouts is that your calls will count against your data (where they don't if you're using the Freedompop app). Freedompop has this integration with Android but is still working on it with iPhone. Be careful and read everything carefully when you work with Freedompop. They are still considering their service "Beta" and their tech support is not the greatest, but the price is incredible. I use this service for 3 of my 4 kids' phones.

After using Freedompop SIM over 2 yrs, I switched to pre-paid LTE plan w/ a premier service option. Now I can send and receive media files as well as voice mail etc. New SIM is using ATT LTE network better than before. When I travel to NE and IA, ATT has better coverage. Choosing data rollover service is a better option. Remember this is STILL BETA service as the company said. My complain is that I cannot save downloaded media. I can only watch photos on my phone screen, and that is it. One more, I suspect calling and text feature still consume the allowed data. But I just pay cheaper cheaper cost annually, not monthly than big wireless company.

I purchased the Freedom pop prepaid card through bestbuy.com, received it on time and have been using it for about a month. It serves the purpose well for under 5$ per month. The only catch is, freedom pop is VOIP based which means you need to install an app and use it to make/receive calls or messages. The only reason I didnt give 5 star is, the plan includes 1 GB data per month and unlimited calling/texting but what I noticed is, data is consumed when on call/text which makes me wonder if I hit 1 GB data on any given month, will I have the ability to continue making calls/text which is supposed to be unlimited.

I'm frequently traveling to the US. To be reachable I was searching for an option with some traffic included and to make short distance calls. The app works great when not connected to a WiFi but I also faced issues once I went back to my original SIM and had to uninstall the app. To install and uninstall the app is a price I can pay for a convinient connectivity package. However, I'd appreciate not having to do that

Activating service and getting everything up and running on my phone went smooth and service/signal has been great so far. Just set up an account with FreedomPop, insert the SIM card and you are good to go. At less than$5 per month for a year of service this is definitely enough for my son and gives me piece of mind that he can reach me when he stays at school for activities.

The value is a huge part of this deal, as because you are purchasing many months in bulk, you get 1 gb of data per month for under $5 a month. That is a great deal. Personally, I use the free plan with 200 mb, and you can get EVEN more data using FreedomPop Friends (500 mb extra). Remember to downgrade when you want to stop paying or you want to get off of a trial.

Picked this up for son to use with unlocked GSM phone. The SIM uses ATT network and coverage has been great. Calls and texts are through FP app which so far has worked well. Nothing I have seen comes close to unlimited voice/text for under $5 a month. May switch other family members if continues to work well.

Bought this to give my kid a phone with minimal data since she’s usually on WiFi. Drawback: the calling goes through a 3rd party app download which can be annoying. The app isn’t integrated as well as other apps, like Facebook messenger.

I got the 3 in 1, LTE SIM card combo. everything works great. Unlimited call/text and 1GB/monthly data. The only thing i didn't like was picking my Number, my city area code (San Antonio/210) was not available so i had to pick the next closest (Austin/512).

Work great for internet connection to normal tcp/ip connection like port #80/443, email, ssh, vpn. If you need to connect with specific port #, you may need to use like ssh->port forwarding to tunnel the network traffic.

It started with 200 min and 200 MB data. I could get 500 MB additional data by requesting friends. But, the plan was changed without notice. Now, the max amount of data is 250 MB. OK for very light use.

With the coverage of the AT&T network, unlimited calls, and unlimited texts this is a most affordable plan. Installed the SIM card in my new phone and was up and running in just a few minutes.

The data for that price is not bad. However, the line does not connect sometimes and the voice quality is not the best several times. The app used is second class too.
