Bought this to go with my new mixer and have tried the slicer for carrots. It worked well enough but didn't quite cut as I expected. Also was hard to fit some of the carrots in the narrowed chute and there were pieces left in the main chamber that wouldn't slice. But, it was still good and I look forward to using the shredder attachments.

I hate shredding cheese and vegetables. My wife got a OLD salad master shredder from her mother that's missing the block to push items down toward the shredder. It's clunky and makes more of a mess and takes more time than simply using a simple box shredder. But I've been forced to use it because it came from her mother ;-) I finally got this--it was sooo much easier EXCEPT I have to cut things down into small pieces to feed them through the tube (cabbage for example). I thought this shredder would cut my prep time and it did-- but by only a fraction. But the cleanup is so much easier than the old salad master or the box shredder PLUS i don't have to worry about my fingers! This thing would be perfect if the tube were just a little bit larger.

Got this for the wife. She absolutelt loves it. Definitely makes it easier in the kitchen

Makes grating cheese a breeze! I will use this to do all of the grating instead of by hand.

My mom and I had a little trouble attaching it at first. But it’s pretty self explanatory once you use it enough. Also I like that its quicker than hand shredding, but it could be bigger

This item is very easy to attach and works well. We shredded a ton of cheese for a party and it worked very well. Also did some carrots and it was a breeze. Cleanup is very easy as well.

Bought this to try it out and it works perfectly, makes my work easier and a lot less quicker. Would recommend this attachment for your equipment.

I purchased this as a add on to my Kitchen Aide Stand Mixer. It’s easy to attach to the hub and worked great. It slices thin uniformed slices and the grater is a good quality. It’s fairly simple to clean. I used this up until the hub door broke on my mixer. I haven’t decided if I’m going to pay to have that fixed as it would mean sending out of state. I would never want to sway anyone from not buying this but couldn’t in clear Conscience not mention what my overall experience was.

Overall a good quality attachment that you expect from Kichen-aid. Everything was of the highest quality and easy to assemble. The only thing negative was the slicer was only a thin slice. It slice cucumbers no problem but you couldn’t get a pickle slice rather they came out as potato chips.

I have wanted a kitchenaid mixer for years and finally bought one, I am extremely happy. I was so excited I bought several accessories. The slicer is nice, I have only used the slicer so far. I cut up zucchini and it was interesting to use, if you’re not careful the sliced pieces will get jammed up in the slicer barrel. Wish you could choose between thick and thin slices, standard is pretty thin. Otherwise it is great!

I wanted to get more use from my Kitchen Aid mixer, so I bought the Slicer/Shredder Attachment when it was on sale. It was great for slicing zucchini and worked well for grating carrots. Carrots however stain the plastic casing, but it cleaned up well with baking soda. Very glad that the slicer and shredder cylinders can be washed in the dishwasher. I don't mind washing the casing by hand.

This is a great attachment for the kitchen aid. It easy to setup, use, and clean (just clean it right after use.. if you let the cheese dry, its harder to clean). We mainly use it to shred cheese. Its quicker then the hand shredder and quicker to clean.

Safe and easy to use!! Shredded block cheese is so much better!

I love my new Kitchen Aid Accessories . No more scrapped knuckles trying to do it on a mandoline. It works really good to grate cheese and it is so easy to make carrot salad now.. I have made so many sliced potato dishes. It has become my best kitchen aid when I am fixing a meal.

Works just like you would think it would. Have only used it for grading cheese so far but works great and definitely cheaper and better tasting than pre graded cheese. Easy to clean up as every piece but outer shell is dishwasher safe.

One of the best attachment for grating and slices. Will save lots of time and energy.
